From appointment scheduling, billing questions and general questions the team here exceeds my expectations for a healthcare provider. My Physical Therapist, Sarah Neal has done a fantastic job helping me recover from a sprained ankle, and torn tendon issues. She brings high enthusiasm to the client sessions and has genuine interest in helping you recover from your injury quickly but without rushing you through the PT process. In addition she takes the time to teach exercises to do between sessions and insures you know proper positions/movement. In short, she takes the time necessary to achive positive results for her clients. I have been to other PT clinics in the past, and they spend 15 minutes with you and move you through until insurance is done. At Elite PT you have a 30 minute session with your therapist and then guided exercises to insure you are progressing in the PT process. I come a few times a week to use the equipment and I always feel welcomed by the staff. Due to the pandemic I have used the Wilmington location before the HAC was able to open, and when at the beach over the summer I continued with PT at the Rehoboth location. If you are an athlete looking for PT this is the place to come! They see many high school and college athletes and many on the staff are former soccer players and some are also athletic trainers. When talking to your Doctor about a PT script be sure to ask for Elite PT , otherwise they have script pads for all the large chains and will direct you to those places. You have a choice! Go with the best - Elite PT!

Extremely disappointed…read more My doctor recommended physical therapy for a torn calf, but clearly stated it was optional. Before starting any treatment, I went to NovaCare in person and spoke with Joe, one of the physical therapists. I specifically asked him to verify both my primary and secondary insurance to determine whether there would be any out-of-pocket costs. He initially said there would not be, but I insisted that he confirm it to be sure--which he said he did. A day or two later, Joe called me back and explicitly confirmed that there would be no out-of-pocket expenses. Based solely on that assurance, I agreed to proceed with physical therapy. Even the NovaCare paperwork I received states zero out-of-pocket cost. Six months later, I received a bill, and now NovaCare is saying I am responsible for payment. This directly contradicts what I was told verbally and what was documented in writing. Had I been informed that there would be any cost to me, I would not have proceeded with therapy, as my injury could have healed on its own. This situation is unacceptable. I relied on NovaCare's verification of my insurance coverage before beginning treatment, and I should not be held financially responsible for their failure to provide accurate information. UPDATE: The general manager/district manager called and apologized, admitting they made a mistake, but did not take any action regarding the bill. Apparently, $207 is more important than their reputation.

A friend of mine who is living with ALS is currently housed in this facility and almost every day,…read morewithout fail, I see a facebook posting from his computer referring to the fact that the kitchen has again gotten his meal order wrong. Due to the ALS he has specific dietary needs. He cannot have bread or large chunks of meat, leafy vegetables, etc. You would think that the dietary staff, in conjunction with a therapist, would have developed a plan to create meals that are not only nutritious but also easy and safe to swallow. This has never happened any my friend continually gets meals that contain bread, meat that is not broken up properly or smothered in gravies that vary in thickness affecting his already weakened swallowing ability. One of the concerns with ALS patients is that as the disease progresses the patient's caloric intake decreases which compounds the weakening of their musculature, so by staying in this facility which exhibits so little care in what they are feeding my friend regardless of how many times he, his family, or even the nursing staff have told them--they are in fact hastening his illness due to their pure disregard for one of their patients. My purpose for this review is to make it clear to everyone reading that something we all take for granted--food is a basic need, which has a huge impact on our quality of life, and when we ignore that need we are in fact saying to those people--you do not matter to us. I believe that this is not true of the entire institution, but if they continue to stand by and don't remedy a change then I will know for sure that they do not.

Ended up moving facilities so that he could live out his last few months on his terms....not someone else's. He could not wait to get out of there. Yes.
