I had an outstanding experience with this clinic…read more I came here for a strange injury in my tendons that was hard to diagnose. I initially went in when it was preventing me from walking or standing for long periods of time, and causing me serious psychological distress. The clinicians here were extremely supportive. They diagnosed the problem, which was tricky to detect because of its atypical nature, within two visits, and put me on a slow but thorough regime of recovery that resulted in me walking within days, and in the end addressed the root causes of the injury and left me considerably stronger and less likely to experience similar injuries in the future. No medication, no surgery and I was back to my normal activity level in a few months. This place exemplifies what I think of as an ideal approach to healthcare. The clinicians are generous with their time, friendly and personable, caring, and funny. Rather than looking for a quick fix, the physical therapists here search for the root causes for things and work on taking the best long-term approach.

If you could give - stars, this clinic would have earned that ranking…read more It is teaching facility, so you get inexperienced therapists who are training to be therapists I went about 2 to 3 times a week for about 7 weeks and I had many different physical therapists and trainees. So there did not seem to be much consistency. The physical therapy was post-surgery and I had to explain my surgery to the therapists who did not seem to know anything about it. One therapist kept putting me through a particularly painful range of motion measurement, in order to show the trainees how it was done. I asked him not to do it again and he said that he would not do it again that day. Two minutes later he did it again to show someone else. Ugh! As a result of one therapy session I developed a huge and very painful knot that was not there before. By the end of the 7 weeks the painful knot was still there. I overheard one therapist instructing a trainee and telling her that the course of treatment that you prescribe does not matter, what matters is that you are confident and that the patient trusts you. Really? At the end of 7 weeks they said that they thought that I was finished and should not come back again, even though I still had limited mobility and my insurance was still paying for the therapy sessions. At that point, I was still hoping for better results. I had gone to other PT's before this one with good results. I will not go back to the UD if I can help it.

Christina Care Rehab is a great place to get therapy. I did both vestibular and physical therapy…read more All the therapists I had were amazing and I am doing much better with my struggles with a rare skeletal syndrome. I will continue with my home exercise program and if I ever need physical therapy again - I would return to Christina Care rehab.

This place is the best. Go see Brian Catania, he is amazing!…read more As a former athlete, I am very familiar with physical therapy and have been to quite a few therapists over the years. Before I saw Brian, 7.5 years ago, I sustained an injury that left me unable to walk normally, let alone workout or continue training. My MRI was normal for the most part, which raised questions as to why I would be in such severe pain. I saw a few different doctors and physical therapists and nobody provided me with any relief. Then, I saw Brian. It turns out I had an upslip in my pelvis, which lead to a whole host of complicated and intertwined problems (SI dysfunction, etc.). After spending one hour with Brian, I walked out feeling like a new woman! It was instant relief! I continued to work with Brian for 2.5 years while I finished out my days as a competitive athlete. Without Brian, I don't think I ever would have been able to compete again. Fast forward to the present...after feeling pretty good for about 4.5 years, the site of my injury began to flare up again. I live and work in Philadelphia and I work long hours, so I knew that seeing Brian was going to be unrealistic. After a few months of trying a few different therapists in Philadelphia and not getting any better, I decided to really live on the edge and leave work a few hours early (at 5:30) to go see Brian. Well, no surprise, after working with Brian for an hour, I felt better than I had felt in over a year. I walked out once again feeling like a new woman! Brian's approach was completely different from the other therapists I had seen. Brian has such a great understanding of the human body and how everything is connected. For example, on top of all of my discomfort neat my SI joint, I had been having trouble breathing for a while. I saw a few allergists and even had an endoscopy, among other tests/procedures, to try and determine why I felt such a heaviness in my chest. I mentioned this issue to Brian and he was able to fix my breathing in a few minutes by manipulating/massaging my ribs/diaphragm. The man is a genius. It took me an hour and a half to get here, so you would think that would deter me from coming back. Nope. I now make the drive from Philadelphia once a week to come here because it is simply the best care you will ever get!
