Hmmm, maybe a 3 star experience for me at best, but bumped up given that it's well-suited for kids and that it was a very reasonable price with our MTL pass. It's at a great location at the Old Port. It's effectively a large warehouse space with the labyrinth being made up of metal frames with vinyl barriers. You need to go to four station where you have your card punched before you can try and find the exit, with each station offering a bit of history of the city. We had purchased the MTL pass which gave us a choice of dozens of options to redeem (you need to look that up if visiting the city!). This hadn't been our first choice as we wanted to do a boat tour, but with that no working out, we found this. It wasn't the most elaborate or impressive thing, but it did still take a good hour to get through and the three kids with us (aged between 8-12) really enjoyed it. I didn't look up the prices, but it was a 'pink' activity from our pass which would've been about a $15 cost, and that was fair. I'd recommend it mostly just for those with kids, but with that in mind and it being in a great location, it's a good family option. read more

Not a bad activity to try at least once in Montreal. Great for kids. Basically, it's a maze that has mostly tarps for walls and you need to go through the four sections to find the card stampers aka "treasure". The warehouse is definitely not new and because it was rainy when we went, there were places where water was drizzling into the warehouse. There are a few openings where you can see outside. It was cool and rainy the day we went and I can imagine it being hot and uncomfortable as you have to wear a mask inside if it's any hotter. There are a few giant fans circulating air in a few corners but the place is pretty big so that doesn't do much for cooling the place down. Most of the maze is kind of blah but there were a few neat little sections that were interesting like the "laser" section. It took us just under an hour to complete the game and we weren't being very strategic about our approach so we definitely did a few loops several times over. There's always that staff who may give you some vague hints if needed. Overall a quite ok experience, especially if you're looking to kill some time indoors on a rainy day. My partner was looking for something new to experience and came across SOS and it was an awesome find while visiting Montréal. Basically it's an indoor maze with four hidden treasures you must find. It was our first experience and even though we read mixed reviews you really have to go and have your own experience. Fun is subjective and if you set your mind to have nice, clean fun you will make it an enjoyable experience. We had a great time and worked together to find these treasures. It took us 1 hour and 15 mins to figure it all out. Families this is a great place for your kids to enjoy. There were tons of families there and you can sense the excitement. I'm not sure how SOS keeps the maze new or how often they update the paths but affording yourself a visit is fun. Cons: in my opinion SOS needs to update their restrooms that was pretty bad. My two boys (10 and 13) had a great time. It's basically an old warehouse they have strung up a bunch of tarps and made a maze. Takes about 50 mins to work your way around and get the stamps etc. you go back on yourself a lot of times. They have some snacks and refreshments by the door and also a couple of games inside while you wait. One price of advice, keep your group together and have a rendezvous plan. We got sort of separated right at the end as everyone ran off in different ways. Anyhow it was all fine. Good way to pass an hour or 2. read more

This was actually very fun. Came here on thanksgiving and wasn't really a wait at all. This is a very big maze with all the bells and whistle. I believe the mission had something to do with aliens and you had to find 4 stations and decide the card and get stamps, etc. There is a lookout tower, obstacles, and a mysterious figure roller skating around the maze among others. We had the boat ride and therefore could only stay about 50 minutes. Needless to say, we didn't solve it and wasn't even close to, but we had hella fun and definitely would come back, just so we can solve the maze and everything. read more

The place doesn't look like much from the outside. It's on the second floor of a warehouse by the Old Port of Montreal. Without giving much away, $16 bought us 70 minutes of intense entertainment. There are SO many dead ends in the maze (unless you cheat and use the emergency "exits") and the maze constantly changes every week. The goal is to find 4 objects, each of a different color. In addition to the traditional maze, there are obstacles along the way to wade through. I'd highly recommend to stash all belongings in their lockers ($2 lock rentals) beforehand. The staff here truly makes the labyrinth experience memorable. They roller skate through the maze and are in character the entire time. They give you hints if you cheer or dance along with them. Although there are crowds of people (from kids to adults), my friend and I still felt like we were able to go at our own pace. We were sweating after running around for 70 minutes. It gets pretty intense! We cooled off at their outdoor terrace, which had a sweet view of the Old Port and people on ziplines. I would give this place more than 5 stars if I could! read more

BORING. From Start to Finish it was a bad experience. My husband I went to experience an "interactive maze", it was not interactive at all. Price is about 17 CAN dollars per person, super expensive for just going around in circles finding 4 "treasures", the treasures were Time Stamp machines demonstrating your ability of finding the time stamp. The maze is made out of pcp pipes and mesh clothes, the interactive sections are hanging blue ballon like that you have to go through. We arrive at 12:32 pm and left at 1 pm. We were so disappointed with this maze, not interactive at all, not interesting at all. We felt at the end of this journey that we blew 34 CAN Dollars, and we wasted 30 minutes of our time. read more

This was so much fun and very entertaining. It took me 47 minutes to get through the maze without cheating. My friend cheated, but she still didn't win the maze. Anyway, the staff members are hilarious and this place was huge. It was a bit warm and humid in the maze, but we were having so much fun that we didn't care. Having just arrived to Montreal, my friend and I found this maze by accident. Was a bit nervous if this was something that's more geared for kids and while it is kids friendly, adults can enjoy it as well. My friend and I had fun trying to figure out where to go and finding four "treasures." Took us about an hour to complete... As for a previous reviewer that complained about the maze not being interactive, I'm not sure what kind of interaction they were seeking. People popping up to scare you? Animatrontics? Noise machines? If that's what you are looking for, then it's not here. It's straight up just a maze that you can walk through. We went here Wednesday night at around 9 P.M. We got there and we saw the website and we thought it would kill at least a hour. We started at 9:27 and finished at 10. It was definitely not worth the price. The worth was probably about half the price. For one, it was very easy and we finish in about half the time that most people finish it in. Decent family activity - with discounts for families of 4 or more. Fairly extensive maze. One quibble: to me, it was unclear whether some areas along the perimeter of the maze were "out-of-bounds" or "in-bounds". The answer: it's all in. Given that every target area of the maze could only be reached by traversing some of these spots, this seems to lead to the wrong type of confusion for some folks. Maybe it's an intentional component of the challenge - though this strikes me as a bit of a cheap way to approach this. Again, more quibble than fundamental criticism. read more

Don't be deterred by the $15 price tag, it was worth every penny. My girlfriend and I arrived about 15 minutes after it opened at 11, and that seems to be the best time to get there. It wasn't crowded and we went into the maze with a small group of about 10 people. It's so much fun running around in a big playground like a little kid. We're both 19 and we couldn't have had a better time running through the obstacles with the 4 and 5 year olds. The storyline is stupid, but who cares? You're in a giant maze! This was a great 1-hour of twists, turns, and many dead ends :) It was a cooler early October day and this indoor facility provided a good break from the outdoors. Although I was able to get through the entire maze with our stroller, the facility lacks an elevator to the 2nd floor where the maze is actually located. This was not an issue for me as my wife took our daughter in arm while I carried the stroller; however, I cannot see this being accessible to those who cannot venture up 2 steep flights of stairs. Access alone eliminates me giving this venue 5 stars. read more

Great place to do a fun and unique activity, a must if you are tourist. I've been here over the years many times and every so often they change the theme and layout of the labyrinth so you can always keep going, it's not a one time thing. You find clues and solve mysteries and it is a hell of an exercise when you keep going round and round the maze. read more

I went with my 5 year old son and we ended up leaving after awhile. It's indoors, warehouse feel to it. It was a hot summer day and this place as no air conditioning, we got really hot after an hour and had to leave. The staff is nice. It was okay. If I go back to Montreal I'd skip this. This however might be a fun team building activity or older kids but not a great 5 year old activity. read more

It took me an embarrassing amount of time to get through this maze but it was a great experience. Get there early! We got there at 11 and there were only two other groups. We began the maze with a family with two younger kids. I arrogantly assumed I would breeze through this thing but the family solved the maze before we did (we are both 30)! This was a great way to spend an hour (or more)! This maze is very large and ended up taking my fiancée and I about 45 minutes to get out of it. It was certainly challenging but is very rewarding when you finally get out of it. The goal of the maze is to find 4 objects in certain locations (the map on the back of your pass is not accurate, it just generally tells you where the objects are; the map isn't an actual depiction of the maze). It's better to go during a non-peak hour because when there are a lot of children or moms with strollers, this really blocks the pathways and you can't make it anywhere fast! read more
