Renshi Foster does a wonderful job of balancing discipline with fun. His passion for teaching is obvious and it has carried over to his leadership team members. If you're looking for a traditional martial arts school I highly recommend coming in and watching a class and meeting the instructors. Ichiban Karate is a member of the IMSS (www.theimss.org) and teaches Nintai Do Matsumura Shorin Ryu Karate Do. They offer classes for ages four and up. Open membership - a monthly fee attend as many classes as you like.

For the past 11 months, my child was attending Tora Martial Arts. For the longest time I was…read morecertain that this was the best dojo for my child to attend. I was convinced that my child was best taught sensei Sarah who is also the owner. At first, my entire family felt welcomed and felt like we found a home. Unfortunately, Sarah and multiple members of her staff turned out to be very unprofessional, rude, and just downright mean. They seem to focus more on drama amongst the parents than they do educating the children. Sarah spread vicious lies about my child and her mental health to multiple other families and her staff. The staff begging to ignore my child and refusing to allow my child to participate fully with the other children in her class. She began to ignore my child and my family while still taking our money for the classes. My child's stepmother worked for free for this facility... Was never compensated... My child's father was a teacher and he had to step down due to the constant negativity and rumors being spread about a 10 yr old child. She is so negative she even tried to convince multiple people and her dojo To spread vicious, rumors and lies about her ass husband dojo so she could take his business! I would not recommend this dojo to anyone. Especially for a child!
