What a great first-time experience! If you haven't visited their website, I highly suggest you do! The layout is nostalgic (that is probably what hooked me). The process was seamless: -submit an inquiry -Share a few pieces of information about what you want -once approved, book a session with an artist I got a small piece that took about an hour including consult and imaging. I was able to ring the first-time virgin bell and got some dope photos taken. Sorry Mom has set the bar high for a tattoo experience now. I was inked by Jamie who was super easy to work with and made it such a painless process. Thank you Sorry Mom, can't wait to use your services again. read more

Love this place! Love the vibe and the awesome artist! My wife found this place and got a tattoo here. I saw their Black Friday sale and thought, why not! The same artist that tattooed my wife was available, so I was familiar with her work. Told her what I wanted, she came up with a great design and size. Worked out the placement and before I knew it, I was done! So I asked, if she felt like doing another and she was down! Love my new tattoos! Will definitely be back for more! read more

Where do I start?! First off, the shop is adorable af. You walk in and the entire front room is painted pink with cute signs up. Every one of the staff is friendly and welcoming. My tattoo artist was Salchiiia. She was super friendly, made me comfortable, and did a wonderful job on my tattoo. This is my first planned tattoo & I was nervous especially because of the placement (inside of my arm). I asked for a colored hummingbird. I'll add my reference photo & final outcome below along with videos from the shop! The tattoo did not hurt at all. She was very gentle & it made all the difference because my first tattoo artist was extremely heavy handed & it hurt like hell. I'll definitely be back read more

The aesthetic of this shop is so fucking cool and cute at the same time. The pink everything and the edgy gate separating the waiting area. All amazing! I got a simple stick and poke from Sevyn (Insta @ Sevynpokes) about a month ago and it's healed up great :) The vibes are really welcoming and chill here. I had a great time chatting with Sevyn and Jamie to start off my weekend. I'll have to stop by again whenever I have more tattoo ideas in their style! read more

I have been eyeing going to Sorry Mom for a few months and finally reached out to Jane to schedule an appointment. Jane was soo helpful and kind. I wanted to get an abstract drawing of two feminine faces kissing. I gave Jane a few examples and descriptions of what I was looking for and Jane did a fantastic job of encapsulating exactly what I wanted. During the tattooing process, Jane helped to calm my nerves and checked in with me throughout the whole time (even though it was under 10 minutes). As much as I love tattoos, my pain tolerance for them is low. Jane was also super helpful when I reached out post-appointment--I was worried about irritation and infection (my tattoo was NOT infected and I was only being overly anxious). I absolutely LOOOOVE my tattoo. I have gotten so many compliments on it already and it is hands down my favorite tattoo. The shop itself was a delight to be in. The energy in there is so fun and all the staff was friendly (LOVE that they're all womxn/femme). 10/10 would recommend and will 1000% return for more tattoos :) read more

Got my first tattoos at Sorry Mom and I am in love!! Kyley did my pieces and she did such an amazing job! She gave me her honest recommendations regarding sizing and how smaller sizes can affect healing! As someone who knows nothing about tattoos, I loved how honest she was and how she gave me all the information I needed to know about tattoos overtime. Kyley did an amazing job with my final pieces and I am beyond happy with how they turned out. The shop itself was beautiful and very welcoming! All the girls click with each other and it is a fun environment to be in. I felt very welcomed and comfortable throughout the whole process. Definitely recommend getting tatted here ;) read more

My sister and I have a ton of pointless tattoos. When we saw Sorry Mom on Instagram, we knew we had to take that drive from Sacramento to Oakland to get a tattoo from Daysha. Our Gigi hates our tattoos and asks us not to get any. It was so fitting we got their brand name but instead of "mom" we got "Gigi and Gma". Daysha got us both in one after the other. She was so accommodating. Her energy was so contagious. 11/10 would recommend driving and taking an adventure to see Daysha. Thanks again! read more

Fantastic shop with amazing artists. I got a chest piece done with Sevyn who made me feel very comfortable during our initial session. It also took about 4 hours and then about another 2 hours to complete it! I highly recommend Sevyn for stick and poke work. Sevyn came up with a fantastic interpretation of my design proposal and even went out of their way to get brown ink in a darker shade. Honestly though I don't think I've ever been excited to write a review until now just because this place is genuinely so special and unique. You just feel the positive energy and positive vibes as soon as you walk thru the door that you think isn't actually a door. Everyone seems 200% into their craft and the aura they radiate that feel so special to tattoo shops. My artist, Sarita, is so unbelievably talented and so incredibly dope! I got my first big tattoo of a Filipino warrior, Lapu-Lapu, that i've been wanting for a while but just couldn't find someone that resonated on the same vibe of artistry until Sarita. I'm so obsessed with her work and I haven't stopped staring at my own arm in all the amazement. I have no doubts that she's going to be so booked up for how ever long she chooses. read more

Everything about my experience at Sorry Mom was absolutely wonderful!!! This was my 4th tattoo, and getting tattooed by Sevyn was definitely the best tattooing experience I've had so far. Sevyn took my rambly texts and reference pics and created the custom stick and poke design of my dreams. With their encouragement, I felt empowered to participate in the whole creative process, and I'm SO delighted with the result. The girls cultivate an atmosphere that is warm, fun, welcoming, and SAFE. Update came back after covid and got my fingers tattooed with Jane/monstresskody/janeforevertattoos. This is my 10th session with her she makes me feel so comfortable whenever I'm getting a tattoo, we laugh the entire appointment. Her work is amazing, she did freehand lettering on my fingers and it came out so nice and clean and more than I could ever ask for. I've trusted her to tattoo my entire neck, ears, hands, arms etc. I love her artistic mind and fully trust her with any tattoo! Very professional. The vibes in here are immaculate and everyone is so sweet. For the last 2 years I have been hiding a tattoo I got from another artist and was trying to think of ways to fix it or cover it up. I reached out to many artists over the last couple years, but when I started speaking to Jane I knew she was who I wanted to work with. She took the time to talk to me about what I wanted, come up with new ideas, and was very honest with me about what she thought would look good. Jane turned an old tattoo that I hated into a beautiful new cohesive piece. I'm so grateful. She was also so fun to be tattooed by... super enthusiastic, easy to talk to, and extremely efficient and truly so talented in her work. Thank you so much Jane!! I will definitely be back. read more

THE BEST TATTOO EXPERIENCE!!!! I would highly recommend this place over any other tattoo shop I've been to. The staff is all so wonderful and friendly. My artist was Jamie. I sent her a simple concept for a tattoo I wanted, and she went above and beyond what I was expecting. Amazing experience for my first tattoo! I loved the atmosphere in the studio. Jamie was incredibly sweet, funny, and made the overall experience so memorable. All the tattoo artists here are the coolest company to have. I've spent plenty of my time there lol Sevyn is the BEST stick n poke artist I've seen, and is only getting better esp w/realism. She did the shutter butterfly and "take it easy" tats, and the butterfly came out way better than the reference I gave :) Jane did the butterflies w/roses and is also a much more beautiful interpretation than what I expected. Salchicha tatted the floral heart on my shin. It was a flash design so she made it more personable w/the red ink and I love it even more In love w/every single one of these pieces and their artists, I highly recommend this shop.
