The place is clean. The staff is friendly. It's kinda dim, could use better lighting. I ordered a large pepperoni pizza, extra cheese, crispy, and the older man dropped it. ‍ I found it funny because things happen and his look made things funnier, and it's no big deal, I'm in no rush, lol. Pizza was decent, flavorful enough and fresh. Cheese was a bit greasy, but it had good flavor. Italian Sub looked great at first glance but tasted funky, on closer inspection the salami was "off". I ordered a couple of slices and a fountain drink to go. Only thing special about what I ordered was "no ice" I do this everywhere I go for take out because to me it's wasted space in the cup and it's already cold when it comes out of the fountain. I dealt with a heavier Hispanic lady....I'm not sure if she was just having a bad day or what but she instantly gave me my drink before the slices were done WITH ICE. I politely said "i ordered no ice" (but explained since it's fountain I'll drink some now and just take a refill before I go). She WENT OFF "you didn't say no ice and to go cups don't get refills!" So I asked that she give me the one with no ice I originally requested... she argued with me. There was another customer who backed me that I said "no ice". She did it but she was beyond rude about it. Building is all chopped up in a weird format....bar is over there, come around the corner to a tiny shared bathroom, tiny hallway leads to a game room (pool table), keep coming out the tiny hallway to a small dining room (about 8 booths). Dimly lit throughout. Slices were on point....definitely good but I will never go back because of how rude she was. You almost got the impression she'd rather not either of you be there. I stopped at this place because it is right along where the Appalachian Trail passes through town. My friend and I were the only customers. The decor is old and dated. The menu boards have yellowed with age such that the black lettering and background are hardly distinguishable from one another. I visited the bathroom while waiting for my food. The overflowing trash can betrayed the frequency of cleanings. The dirty walls confirmed it. I regret having ordered food and only hope that I survive it (the start of this was written before food arrived). When ordering I wasn't sure to order the small, medium, or large Stromboli. I picked medium. I realized the error of my ways when a Stromboli larger than my head arrived. Sadly, it wasn't good. The ingredients were added in such a way that I could have either meat or cheese, but not both. The accompanying marinara sauce was thin and watery. I failed to eat much at all looking forward to a freeze dried dinner that I will have this evening deep into the wilderness. I do not recommend. read more

I have been to New York and Chicago where they know pizza and Italian food. When I walked into this spot on a sleepy road, in a quiet town next to the railroad tracks, little did I realize that this was the end of the rainbow and I struck gold. Bartenders who know how to mix a drink and make you feel like a regular at a bar full of regulars. Well, others could have been new too, they don't make you feel like an outsider. Servers who make you feel so at home you feel bad when they take your dishes because you should be washing them. Sam and his daughters are awesome and hilarious, it is truly a family place. Wine and food. If you want some real Italian cooking, oh man do they have it here. But if you want a slice or a sandwich, they have those too. And the sandwiches make for great food for a long trip too which I had to do. Very okay pizza here. The prices were good especially since I got two drinks to go with it. But the cheese seemed a bit much. At least I was able to fold these slices. My boyfriend and I love Sorrentos pizza. We always order for take out at least twice a month from here. We would recommend the pepperoni pizza... gooey cheese... greasy pepperoni.. delicious sauce... and flavorful homemade crust.... the ultimate guilty pleasure! To top it off you can sprinkle oregano on your pizza... there is nothing better. Their subs are not too shabby. The sub rolls taste of good quality.. plenty of fresh toppings.. standard subs.. nothing special.. but good when you don't feel like cooking. We have had their chicken wings... and would not recommend them... nor would i recommend their french fries. The fries have no taste and are very greasy... not worth the calories or money. This place is a pretty good pizza shop, but the best feature is it's low key upscale dining. Take the trip out and try the surf and turf. The owner makes everything fresh and it is the best in the harrisburg area. He personally makes sure you are happy with it and the bar has a great selection to accompany. Now I give this a thumbs up. Great food, Great services. Clean and friendly. Sister and I ate there several times we keep going back because the food is great. They offer subs, pizza's and many other food items. They do have a full bar and lounge, a menu and waiter's. My favorite item I purchase there is their pizza's. They have take out and can call in a head and order, they will prepare the order for the customer to pick up. Fifteen waiting time. Good food. Decent servings. The calazones have gotten smaller for the same price. They do not put sauce in them. You have to ask them to make it with sauce. If your lucky, they do. 9 out of 10 they put warm sauce on the side in a small container. Do not deliver. The only complaint is the people answering the phone and taking orders are not too friendly and do not tell you when their ready for the next item to order or the time.
