I didn't expect a masterpiece when ordering chicken Alfredo from a pizza shop, but what I received was the most lazy, careless, and outright offensive excuse for food I've ever been served. This wasn't cooking, it was indifference on a plate. I've served in the military for 12 years and have been issued pre-packaged meals that were infinitely better than this. The pasta arrived in a flimsy foil bowl and was very clearly mass-produced, likely assembled in some random factory. And if, by some miracle, this was actually prepared in-house, that only makes it far worse. The noodles were lower quality than bargain-bin ramen, and the so-called Alfredo "sauce" wasn't a sauce at all it was a congealed lump of melted cheese with no resemblance to Alfredo in any form. What they served me was unrecognizable as food, let alone something fit to be sold or consumed. I wouldn't serve this to an animal, much less a paying customer. It is astonishing that anyone thought this was acceptable. I won't even comment on their pizza, but if the same level of negligence applies, it's no mystery how this place stays open, standards clearly do not exist here. This was a disgraceful dining experience, easily the worst I've ever had and that's coming from someone who has eaten military rations for over a decade. read more

This was a positive review but I had the worst experience. We placed an order for delivery, expected delivery was about 40 minutes. Cool, no worries. An hour passes, a few more minutes, a few more. We call. The 'order was never received by the kitchen' and the food was never made nor out for delivery. There was no notification and somehow the front cashier didn't know anything about the order. The solution was for us to wait an additional 20-25 minutes for food to be made and hopefully delivered. read more

We are newer to the area and are trying all the local places and this one was the most recent. It is in an old house and apparently there is a beer garden out back that we def will visit in the spring! We stopped to grab a pepperoni pizza, and looked around the tiny place whilst we waited. There is the cutest little bar you ever saw with like 4 stools, and a great list of brews on tap! Kinda small to eat in there but cozy. We want to make a point of going back to try the bar area for a drink soon and maybe eat in also. So on to the pizza, the sauce was really flavorful and sweet, and there was a hint of garlic flavor on the crust, the pepperoni was cup style and super tasty. We really enjoyed the flavor overall and the crust was nice too. I am excited to try some new things there, such as wings. They had a fun looking menu. We love supporting local! read more

The food is good when they get it right. Unfortunately, they get it wrong, more times than not. Every time I order delivery there's something missing or the order isn't right! I order a salad and the bread is missing. Order a drink and its never received. Order a salad without olives and it has nothing but olives, Order a meat lovers Stromboli and you get a completely different Stromboli. Order extra dressing and never received. They have been given plenty of chances to get things right, and make things right, but they exceedingly fail. It's incredibly frustrating. read more

As someone who grew up in Halifax, I wish this place had popped up a long time ago! It doesn't look like much, but it's one of the best places to get a salad in Halifax. I used the Slice app to order online for pickup. I got a Cobb Salad. It was a bit pricey ($12), but it was HUGE and had great flavor. I ended up saving half of it to eat later in the day. It featured a lot of beautifully grilled chicken and plenty of hard boiled eggs. The bacon was flavorful (very unlike bacon bits you receive on some other Cobb Salads in the area). It was a solid salad! I will say the pickup process was a bit clunky. I ordered online before they opened and ended up getting there a little early. I think it took some extra time for them to get our order going since they had just opened and there were a number of other pickups happening. Overall, I'd definitely recommend it, especially if you are looking for somewhere in Halifax for a bite. read more

We stopped here for lunch while in town visiting Lake Tobias Park and we had a great meal! We had pizza, Greek Salad, garlic knots, cheesesteak and fries. Everything was excellent. Glad I finally found a good pizza joint to stop at on my way too and from Millersburg! I had passed this place every week for awhile before deciding to check Yelp for reviews. And I am glad I did! My kids really like the pizzas. We have had meat lovers and chicken bacon ranch fairly regular. They have been consistent and a fair value. I really like their Val's special stromboli. Wings are a decent size, cooked well, and they have a decent selection of sauces. Fries are really good. Good selection of beer including local micro's and even have at least 2 or 3 that I like (stouts and porters) which is uncommon, especially in summer, The place is a little quirky. It's in a house and you can either eat on an enclosed porch or in a room inside with a tv. You order at a counter in a third room and they bring the food out to you. Beer and soda are self serve. So, if you are looking for table service, this is not the place. However, they usually at least stop to ask if everything is ok. Everyone (including someone I assume was a delivery driver) have been very polite and friendly. 5-stars for that! Have always loved Doughboy's and we've probably eaten there once a week for years. After tonight I will never go back. I showed up 20 minutes after my small order was to be ready for pickup and they couldn't find the order. Once they did find it they proceeded to tell me that it hasn't even been sent to the back yet. I was told they were busy and the one waitress could not have been any more rude about her obvious F up. This is the 10th time I've ordered from them and had to wait over an hour for my order sometimes I've had to wait 2 1/2 hours for my order to be delivered the food is subpar since they changed locations their food absolutely has changed I don't know if they are using different vendors for their ingredients but it's not the best any longer. Don't even bother if I could give zero stars I would. Our delivery took 2 hours and what we received was not what we ordered. The cheesesteak was basically steak flavored bread. A new Pizzeria and Pub in Halifax! GREAT food and an awesome beer list. They also featured specialty drinks but I stayed with beer since they featured so many local breweries. Their menu ranges from your classic pizzas and subs to mouth watering hamburgers and salads. I got the Black and Blue burger and it was made to the exact temperature I requested and the toppings were plentiful. They just opened a full bar and the new decor really felt inviting, a nice reflection to the town. read more

Chicken Mediterranean Salad is the BEST there is. Especially coming from a pizza shop and not authentic Greek restaurant. Fresh mixed green salad (NOT iceberg), a very good portion of olives, tomatoes, red onions, feta, and the best ever special dressing for the salad. It only cost $8 with a half a sub roll buttered and with garlic seasoning for bread. VERY tasty and is now my official weekly go to DELICIOUS salad. They have a new location in Marysville, PA. Halifax location has brew beers in a cooler to drink there. Marysville does not have beer, just fountain drinks. read more
