You need to go with a knowledgeable mechanic and tools in order to retrieve parts from the cars. From time to time I get sucked in to going to lend some muscle. There is another LKQ in Ft, Lauderdale and having been to both, they are equally miserable. There are junkyards that pull the parts for you but this junkyard is in the you pull it category. You can look online to see the car inventory and vehicles are arranged in rows. Parts go fast so you really need to hit the cars when they first enter the yard. You need to bring your own cart or wheelbarrow to haul your parts. They check your toolbox before you enter and there is a $3 admission per person. In addition to tools and some way to haul your stuff I highly recommend water. There is zero shade on the lot and you will feel like you are baking alive. An umbrella for shade and rain is a good idea too. They do have some snack and drink machines. As soon as you step into the yard, the smell of vehicle fluids smacks you in the face. I can't describe it but it always makes me feel sick. The ground is a dry dirt that covers your shoes and legs. That is until the rain comes and then you are walking in mud. Despite the heat, smell, and dirt I always find the cars interesting. A lot of them are here because of accidents. You can see the deployed airbags and the perfect circles where heads have smacked the glass. I have never seen it but I have heard stories of remnants of flesh left behind. A walk around here reminds you to buckle up. The accident cars usually have personal effects left behind. They are towed from the scene and sold to the yard and the owners never see their cars again. Car seats, hats, and paperwork are common to see. There aren't any restrooms or port a potties on the lot, so one thing I have seen is the backside of gentlemen relieving themselves. Once you find a car with parts you like it is up to you to pull them off. Sometimes you will see someone already working on the car you want. I believe the correct junk yard etiquette is you can look over the car while they are working on it but do not start on it until they are finished. My least favorite part of the visit is trying to haul heavy car parts back to the front to pay. I always leave covered in sweat, dirt, and God only knows what else. They do have a return policy which requires you to have your parts marked before you leave, I saw in previous reviews that people have complained about how they were treated here but that has never been the case with me. Everyone who works here has been exceedingly kind to me but then again I just tag along. I never argue with them about prices. If you need to save money and you have the skills, this is the cheapest way to get car parts.

***Long Post Alert***…read more The car buying process has NEVER been this easy! I had to call my sales associate back to make sure we didn't forget to do something So after the PB Mitsubishi debacle, I was reminded that I know someone who works at CarMax in VA. So I went on their website and got prequalified. I found the vehicle I wanted in Orlando and then reached out to my guy to see what the next step was. This was on a Friday afternoon. My guy was off that day but jumped right in to assist me. He advised me to schedule a test drive so that the car would be reserved. He looked at what I had submitted and gave me an idea of what my payments would look like and what bank I would get the loan from. He said on Monday he would call me and we would get the process done. Over the weekend, I browsed through their inventory and found another one that I may be interested in that was in NC. Fast forward to Monday (3/17/2015), I spoke to my guy told him that I found a newer model of the vehicle I originally picked out that I wanted. Provided him with the stock number and he advised me to cancel my appointment with the one in Orlando and pay the shipping fee to have the one I wanted shipped to my nearest store. Then he submitted everything to the bank. He then told me that his goal is to make sure when I get to the dealership, I won't need to do much. The ETA for was between 3/22 and 3/27. I was notified every step of the way with the shipping of the vehicle. It arrived at the Royal Palm store on the morning of 3/22. All of my paperwork was submitted on that day and reps from the store made contact with me multiple times throughout the day. By 6:30 that evening, I was at CarMax speaking with Amanda and Brogan (I think that was his name). They were perfect and had me out of there within one hour of my arrival with my keys in my hand!!!!!! I would recommend CarMax to anyone! The customer service was above and beyond from start to finish! In addition, I called a few days later asking for new windshield wipers and they told me to come one over and they would take care of it. They did, with no hassle!

The day I picked up, everything went smoothly. After dealing with alot of other typical dealer games, they restored my faith in how buying a car should be. I will bring my car back to them for services - worth the trip.

That's how I found myself here on a Sunday afternoon, searching for a replacement for our Mitsubishi Outlander. We located a matching vehicle online in their yard and crossed our fingers it would still be there when we arrived. Luckily, it was! U Pull & Pay is conveniently located near Palm Beach International Airport--you'll definitely notice the planes flying overhead. They're open seven days a week, which is a huge plus. Admission to the yard is $3 per person, or $2 if you sign up for their free VIP program. Just note: no one under 16 is allowed in the yard. The staff was friendly and helpful, pointing us directly to the right row. From there, you're on your own--you do need to bring your own tools. Fortunately, the back glass on the Mitsubishi was still intact. After dodging a few rainstorms and putting in some effort, we were able to remove it successfully. We even found some interior trim pieces we needed. If you're not able to pull parts yourself, they do offer that as a service. Inside, there's a lounge area and an actual restroom--which, while not the freshest-smelling, is still better than the porta-potties you often find at similar places. They also sell inexpensive drinks (a lifesaver in the heat, since there's little shade in the yard) and even have shelves with random thrift items recovered from cars. One thing to keep in mind: they don't offer cash refunds, but with a receipt and marked part, exchanges are allowed within 30 days. Overall, I think their prices are some of the best in the area--what we paid was about half the price of LKQ next door. What could've been a costly mistake turned into a much more manageable fix thanks to U Pull & Pay.

The customer service is solid and I have spent time waiting in the lobby as well as upstairs while the vehicle was being serviced. I don't have a set advisor to go to since all of them have been positive. I'm not much of a fan of doing other services since the dealership always charge more. I make a note of what is recommended to get done and have it done at a cheaper auto service location.

While waiting at the dealership, the salesperson Francisco allowed us to look through their in-stock used vehicle inventory on his computer. We found a 2024 Toyota RAV4 with around 41,000 miles listed at approximately $17,000. We specifically asked multiple times about that vehicle because the price seemed unusually good, and the salesperson went back and forth speaking with managers before finally telling us they would show us the car. We were told it had just arrived and had not fully gone through the system yet, but that it was available to view. We viewer the vehicle, loved it, and returned to begin the purchasing process. The dealership started paperwork and even RAN OUR CREDIT for financing. Only after our credit had already been pulled did a manager come over and tell us the vehicle had supposedly been "mislabeled" and was actually meant to be priced at around $27,000, not $17,000. At that point, instead of taking accountability for the situation, we were immediately redirected toward more expensive vehicles, including brand new cars and lease options. I understand mistakes can happen, but allowing customers to test drive a vehicle, begin paperwork, and authorize a credit inquiry before suddenly changing the price by $10,000 felt extremely misleading and unprofessional. The entire experience wasted our time, affected our credit, and left us feeling pressured into spending far more than we originally agreed to. Now when we go to purchase another car we will have negative financial consequences by this credit hit. I would not recommend this dealership super unprofessional and unethical.
