Instead of the upbeat and professional atmosphere I've come to expect, the staff seemed far more focused on their personal lives than on customer service. During our visit, we learned more than we ever wanted to know about relationship drama, canceled dates, and other personal issues. It felt incredibly unprofessional and made for an awkward experience. To be fair, one employee taking our order was genuinely kind, welcoming, and not overly pushy. She was the highlight of our visit, and she deserves recognition for maintaining a positive attitude and providing great customer service. Unfortunately, the rest of the operation felt disorganized. The manager appeared disengaged, frequently walking back and forth without providing much direction or support. Drink production was chaotic as well. Watching nearly every other drink come out before the very first one ordered made it clear there were training and workflow issues that need attention. I expect better from Dutch Bros because most locations do a fantastic job. This location, however, felt unorganized, unprofessional, and poorly managed. Hopefully management takes a closer look at training and leadership because the experience didn't reflect the standard that has made Dutch Bros so popular.

It's been a tough few days but my daily trip to Jolts & Juice, has not only provided me some much needed caffeine but an emotional break as well. I'm a creature of habit, so once I find something I like, I stick with it. Someone recently told me that it takes a lot to mess up a vanilla latte, I told them, you might be surprised how many people do. Thankfully, J&J do not. My daily iced, vanilla latte with oat milk with an add shot has been great. If you read any of my other reviews, do you know how important customer service is for me. After only two days of rolling through their drive-through, they had my order memorized. After hearing why I was in town, they also gave me a punchcard with holes already punched, for a free drink. I don't know if the barista is allowed to make that decision on her own, but if not, I pray the owner reads this and instead of getting upset, praises the barista for having a kind and compassionate heart. Plus, I am sure in the coming days I will more than make up that one drink. Dealing with cancer is not fun and anyone who has done so, knows how important those brief moments of joy really are. I might be a softy, but a free latte in the middle of a cancer battle brings a little hope to a hard situation. Much love to that barista and kudos to Jolts & Juice for good coffee and a great staff.

Everything is as you would expect and I've done drive-through and in-line service at this location several times with little complaint. The only downside of this location, which is typical in Ontario, is that the crew doesn't know how to handle app orders. The Dutch Bros App is buggy, and people at this location don't know how to deal with it when something goes wrong. If you are doing app orders, I strongly encourage you to go out of your way to the 170 East Ln location, where they know how to troubleshoot problems (e.g., the app placed your order at the other Dutch Bros, even though you are sitting in front of this Dutch Bros). In my case, I had to end up driving there anyway when the app put my order at the other one despite the fact I was sitting in this parking lot. The other Dutch Bros knew how to move orders between locations, this one treats app orders like they were beamed in from some distant, incomprehensible future.

The location is perfectly situated on the main street of old town Ontario, so there are a couple blocks of historic buildings and antique shops which can help you continue on the path of shopping local. The decor inside is as they say - unique and very cool. They did a great job! Even the outside red bicycle handlebar door handles were a cool use of materials! One of my guests wanted a beer on draft but there wasn't someone there that was able to serve it and that was a bummer, but we all got hot chocolates and coffees and sat for a few minutes and chatted before we continued on to the antique shops along the way (great finds!). This shop is large/spacious with lots of different seating options, whether you want to sit alone and not be bothered, or you're looking to meet and greet. Some were there working at tables, which was a great idea (hopefully they were patrons that were continuously paying? Not sure how that works but I want to sit there and work with my laptop top too!). I look forward to getting back here!
