It's been a tough few days but my daily trip to Jolts & Juice, has not only provided me some much needed caffeine but an emotional break as well. I'm a creature of habit, so once I find something I like, I stick with it. Someone recently told me that it takes a lot to mess up a vanilla latte, I told them, you might be surprised how many people do. Thankfully, J&J do not. My daily iced, vanilla latte with oat milk with an add shot has been great. If you read any of my other reviews, do you know how important customer service is for me. After only two days of rolling through their drive-through, they had my order memorized. After hearing why I was in town, they also gave me a punchcard with holes already punched, for a free drink. I don't know if the barista is allowed to make that decision on her own, but if not, I pray the owner reads this and instead of getting upset, praises the barista for having a kind and compassionate heart. Plus, I am sure in the coming days I will more than make up that one drink. Dealing with cancer is not fun and anyone who has done so, knows how important those brief moments of joy really are. I might be a softy, but a free latte in the middle of a cancer battle brings a little hope to a hard situation. Much love to that barista and kudos to Jolts & Juice for good coffee and a great staff.

Because of the way the drive-up…read moreline is set up, folks in line here are sometimes tricky to deal with (e.g., yes, dude, we know you feel important in your BMW and need to cut everyone else off, try not almost to hit my car and the person taking my order next time). Everything is as you would expect and I've done drive-through and in-line service at this location several times with little complaint. The only downside of this location, which is typical in Ontario, is that the crew doesn't know how to handle app orders. The Dutch Bros App is buggy, and people at this location don't know how to deal with it when something goes wrong. If you are doing app orders, I strongly encourage you to go out of your way to the 170 East Ln location, where they know how to troubleshoot problems (e.g., the app placed your order at the other Dutch Bros, even though you are sitting in front of this Dutch Bros). In my case, I had to end up driving there anyway when the app put my order at the other one despite the fact I was sitting in this parking lot. The other Dutch Bros knew how to move orders between locations, this one treats app orders like they were beamed in from some distant, incomprehensible future.

One of my guests wanted a beer on draft but there wasn't someone there that was able to serve it and that was a bummer, but we all got hot chocolates and coffees and sat for a few minutes and chatted before we continued on to the antique shops along the way (great finds!).
