4 Sushi rolls: Kelso, Philadelphia, California, and Alaska Salmon rolls. All were excellent!

Great Sushi! We went at 8pm on a Monday and the sushi was still exceptional! We got a variety of 4 rolls (picture attached) and it cost $48, so reasonably and worth the price! Would highly recommend!

Good as it looks!

I wouldn't necessarily connect Bend, Oregon to good sushi but SORA changed my mind. My friend and I were visiting from out of town and we're both feeling like sushi, so we looked up places on yelp and decided to go with SORA. The downtown area that it is found in is a pretty cool spot just to walk around and we were excited that they were open after 9 PM which is when we got into town. The fact that we were starving how does pretty excited to eat anything, let alone sushi that we love. From the lady who sat us at our table, from the waiter who answered all of our questions (and we had a ton) The team was incredibly professional, courteous, and didn't make us feel like "Out-of-Towners". I wish I could remember exactly which roles I had, but the names are escaping me but I did take pictures. I was happy to find out that they had both vegan and gluten-free options. I have had better sushi, but between the customer service and two really solid rolls, I would definitely recommend this small, hometown sushi joint in downtown Bend. It would be fun to come back and try a few different things. Overall, we were totally satisfied.

They've seemed to finally get some consistency in their staff which has improved the overall experience and made the sushi also consistently better. I stick with my original statement that you won't be blown away but I'll add you also won't leave hungry.

Good sushi menu, 4/5 on quality and freshness. Probably the best sushi in Bend with very reasonable prices for Bend, OR!

Atmosphere was bad enough that picking up takeout made the food less appetizing. Sushi was kind of ok.

Lots of flavorless sauces, fake crab, and tempura. Overall poor quality of fish. Not worth the price.

Bop Culture - #3 vegan (fake chicken) bi bim bop

A friend recommended this to us - she was getting a birthday celebration delivered. We would never…read morehave learned about it otherwise! Thank goodness Bend is a small foodie town. Bop Culture runs as a ghost kitchen out of the esteemed 5 Fusion location. Their menu is playful and fun, with some real surprises buried within. We had three things for our first order: #2, #4, and #14. We loved all three but should have ordered #13 instead of #14, which, on its own without the fried chicken, was a light and refreshing coleslaw-like complement to the two bowls. Complex flavors, delightful mix of pickled, savory, and fermented notes. I especially liked the bulgogi! The included house Bop Sauce was so good that we will be ordering a separate 16 oz container for use in our own cooking later! If you like the flavors and Asian-fusion style offered by Spork, you'll likely enjoy Bop Culture's offerings. I'm a huge Spork fan, and interestingly, my wife liked Bop Culture more than Spork. Recommended! Spread the word on this little ambitious startup!

Bi-bim-bops mostly but also some other goodies such as Korean spiced tots and a Korean corn dog. First impressions: when the menu says spicy, the food will be. Not blisteringly so but for those with a low tolerance, take heed. Five dishes ordered and promptly delivered by Door Dash - all good. - Tots: very nice, comes with two dipping sauces, both tasty. - Vegan chicken bi-bim-bop (#3): I've never had fake chicken until now and it works about as well as fake beef (Beyond, Impossible). Which is to say, quite passable. Beyond the fake chicken, the dish itself is very good. Bop sauce (in a separate tub) is tasty if a touch sweet. - Chinese cabbage salad: Excellent. I could eat this all day. - Bop dog: a Korean-inspired corn dog. The epitome of fusion, I guess. Pretty good with a nice panko coating. If you like corn dogs, you'll probably like it. - Beef bi-bim-bop (#1): Excellent. Well seasoned beef with very well done veggies and soft-boiled egg, including kim chi. Overall, I'd say Bop Culture has hit it out of the park in a town somewhat lacking in Asian-inspired cuisine (although it's getting better). Highly recommended.

Unique Asian market offering that is much needed in Bend!…read more Love the variety and choices of Japanese food and drink you don't find anywhere else in the city. Only downside and reason why this is 4 star not 5 rating, is the Matcha tea I bought expired months ago (best by date was in June, and we are in October). Unfortunately, this was discovered after I purchased said item and open the bag. So shoppers look for the dates on whatever you are wanting to purchase. Hopefully the market can find a system to check expiration dates for all goods on regular basis, and remove those from the sales floor.

This market is pretty great. When I first stumbled upon this place I though it was a place for…read moreinstant ramen, more like a ramen shop. The art on the outside doesn't make you think you're walking into an Asian supermarket. It's very artistic. However, when I actually made my way in I was pleasantly surprised to find a very clean and well stocked little store. It's definitely not your typical Ranch 99 or H-Mart but it serves it purpose for this community. The owners put in a lot of thought about the items they have available. Each aisle has items you can find in Asian homes along with items popular on social media platforms. The "insta-influencer" recipes as I like to call it. The prices are both affordable and pricey depending on what is considered a commodity. I think it's very fair. Also, the produce is fresh. I felt very welcomed every time I walked in because the staff is friendly, patient and knowledgeable. There is a lot of heart curated in this spot and I can't wait to see the ongoing evolution of it. If you're near Fred Meyers or the Reed Market area I highly recommend checking this place out. Give them some love.
