BEST in the Delaware Valley area. Exceptional customer service…read more I did a lot of sleuthing for stores, and thankfully found out about World Wide Stereo. I arrived 30 minutes before closing, and Patrick and Bob generously stayed with me for an extra 90 minutes at their desk after the closing time passed in order to answer all of my questions and assauge my anxieties. Their passion for the products I bought (all Sony) and their technical knowledge blew me away. They have been with the company for a very long time. By the time I left the store, I saw them as friends of mine, almost even good friends. Both of them are very genuine. I felt a lot of trust with them. And their installation team will be coming soon to my home to put everything in.

I went into the store and said that I needed a small stereo that can play CDs for my apartment, and…read morethe staff member directed me to the Denon RCD-M41 CD receiver, which he assured me could play CDs. Well, I'd be lucky if it could get through the last 10 minutes of a 70+ minute CD without the sound dropping out momentarily. You call that, 'working'?!? Now, take note, FOR $600, I CANNOT BUY A CD PLAYER THAT WORKS TODAY, at least not from Denon. (By 'works', I mean, plays the CD faithfully from beginning to end without skipping or having the sound drop out momentarily, even if the CD is 79 minutes long.)

I wanted you to know that I have been happy with the results from virtually every project with…read morewhich we've entrusted you. There's been a personal angle that I think starts with your leadership, but seems to have been conveyed to each of your sales reps and your service techs. The first person I spent time with was Kevin on a Saturday morning a few years ago, directly after having an uncomfortable visit at World Wide Stereo. They have the stuff, but they have neither the environment nor the people who are able to provide what I need to feel before unloading significant resources towards things that I really like, but maybe don't truly need. Regarding Kevin, the stunning realization of how much information was stored in one person's brain was a bit overwhelming, and I can recognize it because of the business niche I've been in for the last 35 years. Since then I've dealt with you, Eddie (who I will request on any installation job in the future) and others, all with really good experiences. I want to now mention Matt Gorman, with whom I've begun exploring lighting options for our home. Although I had seen him in your shop many times before, you introduced him to me as your lighting specialist back in April earlier this year. His effort and his persistence in following up on even the most minute details of this project has been really impressive. He has made multiple home visits, brought out a rep (Tony) of your preferred lighting supplier, and provided a quote that reflected our site visits and discussions. Right now, I have commitments that will delay my ability to greenlight the proposal, but I will act on it (probably in phases) as soon as I get from behind some other financial commitments. In the meantime, he called me a few days ago just to check-in. There was no pressure or frustration expressed from him regarding the delay. Instead, I mentioned an A/V receiver replacement I needed to explore. He said he would prepare a quote for that need and he delivered it last night as promised. I will be moving forward with that. Just know that I appreciate the experience I've had with you and your team since I walked into your shop a few years back, and that most of that has had to do with the people that represent your operation.

If you're anything like me you forgot these stores even existed. Well we better think again and…read moremake sure they stay in business. We're having our basement refinished and I decided to offload my DVD collection. I was just going to drop it at a thrift store. However as I went through the titles I kept thinking about how much I've wasted creating a well rounded collection. I started thinking I wish there was a way to make some money back off this "investment". I called a few pawn shops to no avail. Then a friend suggested FYE. I didn't know if he was joking so I called them. The associate said come on in! So I took in over 100. Sold 64 and made $60. It was cool going through the stack with her and seeing what they would and wouldn't take. Seeing what they'd pay. They snatch up anything Marvel or Disney. If you have a copy of Mel's Apocolypto you can get $5. It's out of print. Anyway FYE pay your employees more. They are cool.

There would be a line going half way through the store and we'd spend an hour in it, why? Internet wasn't working. Last time I was in there the internet was just completely down and that was about two weeks ago during the start of their going out of business sale, reason they are shutting down? No internet to run the store. Completely ridiculous. All my anger goes to the people running this business, can even give a store the proper means to keep it running. Utterly ridiculous.
