Wouldn't come back here. Got classic mink lash extensions yesterday but it's not individual lashes that are applied to each lash. Today 1 clump of 7 lashes fell off. These clumps are not the proper way to do lash extensions and are too heavy for 1 lash. Looks very un natural. read more

I stopped by because I was in town to eat brunch with some friends. I've definitely been to my share of threading places and I'd say this place is pretty decent. Honestly at $5, it's pretty great. Most places I go are at least $7. The owner is really nice and she does a nice mini massage of your brows at the end. The only gripe I would have is that my wife told the person doing her brows (not the owner) to just clean it up and the person did that. But the owner came around and said she just needed to check the other staff members work and then reshaped my wife's brows when she asked for just a clean up. I knocked off one star for that. So I usually go this place for eyebrows thread service. I decided to give a try for eyebrow lamination. I set up an appointment and when in, the lamination didn't work. So I decided to call and let her know . She rescheduled me a second time and once again failed . She said she was going to buy another product and then let me know . I ask her for a refund and she informed me that a refund what's not possible. Which I do not agreed because your service was not complete of what it had to do . I'm leaving my original review bc that girl was terrible but I upped the stars bc I only go back now when Z is working. She's the best. I don't trust the others anymore after my experience. My advice would be to call ahead to see if she's there! ________________________________________________________________________ This place is a hit or miss. Z is great, friendly and does good work. But it seems she's there less and less. I'm never satisfied with the other random girls there they seem to change frequently. I think I'll find a new place with consistent quality. Z is amazing. She is SO friendly and sweet too. I've been getting my eyebrows threaded for years and this was the least painful experience I've ever had. She made conversation with me and made me feel right at home and she finished in 2-3 minutes tops. She gave me a better natural arch all the while being careful not to strip too much hair since they're not very thick to begin with. Then she showed me how my eyebrows would look filled in with gel makeup after asking what I use for them. She gave me a mirror to show me how to do it. I basically never want to wash my face again because these brows are perfect. It's $5 for eyebrows. And I paid another $12 for the makeup palette she used. Which means I'm returning some items I recently paid $30 bucks for at Sephora. Z is her name. Sophie is her daughter's name FYI :) After one trip, this is officially my go to. read more

I've been coming to Sophie's Threading since I moved to La Mirada in 2012. I love Zee! She is a great threader and she has even done my hair and makeup for special occasions, like weddings and my baby shower! Zee has always been my "go-to" for brows and I would always be so hesitant to have anyone else do it if she was not available. My schedule only allows me to come on her days off now, but I am so pleased with Jaz! As a Mom to two toddlers, I am usually pressed for time and can only make it in right before closing. No matter how late I come, Jaz is always there to greet me with a smile and takes her time. I've always had a problem with my assymetrical brows. It has always been difficult keeping them even and I always felt like I had to put lots of brow powder to make them look symmetrical and thicker. After listening to my concerns regarding my brows, she assured me that she would be able to help me fix them. Thanks to Jaz, that is no longer a problem! She has helped me grow and reshape my brows to the point where I feel confident going out in public without the brow powder! I can't thank her enough.
