Dr Soper is aggressive don't see him whatever you do! He told me my 5 yr old had to get 8 cavities filled! We were in his office 6 months prior with no issues but saw a different doctor. I told him I felt that was extreme and I wanted a 2nd opinion. He talked to me like I was stupid. We saw a different dentist the very next day and he said my son had 0 cavities! He said he just had superficial decalcification that could be fixed with flossing and fluoride. I could never get in touch with Dr Soper after that! He's a crook. I feel bad for all the kids that get teeth drilled when it's not needed. It's already a scary experience, way to scar them for life! So glad I trusted my instinct read more

Dr. Soper is good, but his billing department is literally incompetent. I was with Drs. Haas & Wehrman for over 15 years with superior care before Dr. Soper took over! The billing dept, nor the practice manager could give me a straight balance EVER as their computers are not connected Crestview to Burlington?? They had the nerve to tell me I should be proactive & know my balances and how much I financed through care credit! I asked for an EOB and my $1500 care credit was not even listed, yet I pay monthly payments! Dishonest, unorganized and poor customer service! My son, Owen has been seen by Dr. Soper for the last two years and most recently met the new dentist, Dr. Capozza. Both Dr. Soper and Dr. Capozza are great with my son! He is always excited to go to the dentist now and loves getting a balloon at the end! Every member of the staff calls him by name and makes him feel important, which makes me a happy mom! As a mom, I enjoy the friendly staff and appointments that run on time. I recommend this office to all of my friends with children. read more

I had been going to Pediatric Dentistry off Thomas More for 7 years for 2 of my children. I have a 4 year old who is very timid and I finally get him in there. He needs dental surgery. His appt was on a Thursday, they called me Friday to see if he could do they surgery on Monday. I had to call my employer and work around that, call 2 different places at the hospital about preregistration and a physical exam all on top off working all weekend and on very short notice but I DID IT. Well, wouldn't you know Saturday evening my son was febrile, vomiting, etc. I called them Sunday (keep in mind I'm working and taking care of a sick child) and left a message with one of the 3 numbers I was given. Apparently the number I called was the preassement one. It was a Sunday and I couldn't reach anyone before he had to be there at 6:30 am Monday morning anyways. There was no way they were going to do surgery on my child as sick as he was. In addition to that, I had to give him ibuprofen because the acetaminophen would not break his fever. I had received a phone call at 6:40 am from the surgery dept and I let them know I left a message and what was going on. I called the dental office when they opened to reschedule and was told immediately that we were being dismissed from the practice because we didn't show up. I guess I was supposed to show up at 6:30 am with no sleep from working and with a sick child for no reason. My son wasn't getting any better so 2day later I took him to the doctor. He had an ear infection and gave me paperwork for the dentist, which I immediately hand delivered. I called the dentist office probably 5 times over a 5 week period with no return calls. Finally, after about the 5th or 6th week after the original surgery was scheduled I get a dismissal letter. It stated that he really needed to get this surgery done right away. Wow, really???? You are so concerned that after 7 years of bringing 2 kids there with no missed appointments that because my child was sick and couldn't make surgery you kick us out of the practice!!!!! I must thank you though that I see what type of practice this was before you did surgery on my child!!!! I guess because someone had to get up early unnecessarily my child was punished for it, even though I was scheduled at the last minute anyways. read more

When I even see "Dr. Soper" I get anxiety immediately. This man has forever traumatized myself and my now 9 year old son. Our situation happened back when my son was 4 or 5 years old. From the beginning my gut told me something was wrong with this office and I wish I had followed that instinct from the second I felt it. My son needed a filling and was highly anxious. They gave him nitrous to calm him, (which ended up making the situation worse, and come to find out I, too have bad reactions to ntirous), and when my son was still begging to let them have me back there (this office doesn't allow you to sit chairside with your child), Dr. Soper has zero tolerance, and zero empathy. My son is not a bad child, he rarely complains, rarely cries, and when he wanted his mother - that is actually what he wanted to help calm him. I could hear his screams from the LOBBY. I was in tears. The filling was bigger than they thought so they needed to place a silver cap on it. My son was saying he was not numb, but Dr. Soper believed him just to be "difficult". I begged the nurses to let me back.. let me sit with him.. hold his hand.. at one point Dr. Soper let me back to see my son, and was so rude to me.. so cold. Again, lack of empathy, and with people who are anxious this only tends to make our anxiety worse. He told me I could NOT be back there with my son. When I saw my son, tears rolling down his face, his face BRIGHT red (God, I still get tears in my eyes years later after this experience even talking about this), hooked up to that stupid nitrous machine and masks on him... my heart literally shattered. He told me my ONLY option was for him to stop in the middle of the procedure and finish it if he was put under at a hospital or for me to let him finish. They told me to go sit in my car. You guys... I had to go out front and have a mere breakdown OUTSIDE of their office because of the screams of my then 4-5 year old son. I will never ever forget this experience. I will never ever stop telling people our story. I will never ever have one good thing to say about this man who at that time, had no children himself.. I know because I asked him. He did no call to check back up on my son after this.. nothing. We now see Dr. Greenhill, who is probably the most gentle soul I have ever known. He has more patience with children than I could even have, he is understanding, kind, empathetic... a dream compared to Soper. I will never look back. I am so thankful to God I changed to Greenhill. I even switched my insurance to make sure my now 3 sons all see Greenhill since at that time the insurance I had Greenhill did not accept. My 9 year old had many anxiety issues and still does with the Dentist because of the traumatic experience with Soper & still to this day tells me how horrible it was and how he could feel it all. He has had fillings, and even one extraction with Greenhill & zero issues. He trust Dr. Greenhill. I too, have trouble getting numb so I do fully believe my son suffered physically & absolutely emotionally that day in Soper's office. I'll never forgive myself, but I will do everything to prevent children in the future from seeing this man. Dr. Soper, I will never forget that day - I don't care how young those babies are, if they say they are in pain and want their mommy/daddy - LISTEN. You making your patients COMFORTABLE should be your very first priority. You failed. read more
