All Duct - Each vent getting opened and inspected with camera

All Duct

I called on Saturday and they were able to come on Tuesday which I appreciated, because the new A/C…read moreis being installed on Thursday. Malik cleaned our ducts and vents and sanitized them. Sanitizing the individual duct/vents was added ($25 extra for each vent) to the originally quoted package which he said only includes sanitizing the main duct, but I wanted that done after seeing the mold build-up on the vent registers. He also helped taking out the moldy vent registers because it's probably better just to replace than trying to clean them. Overall, glad we did the cleaning, though I wish it was clearly stated the vent sanitizing was NOT included in the quote, because the quote just said "...air duct cleaning includes up to 15 supply vents and returns, two main duct per single unit, sanitizer (to prevent mold growth)..." A little update: Later through the check-in with the owner, the owner Nick answered all my questions, told me how to maintain, and that we won't need to do a cleaning again until a few years later. Also after hearing my concern about the mold on the registers, he said the registers needed to be thrown out and replaced, but the ducts behind the vents themselves didn't have mold so didn't have to be sanitized, even though it was my request to sanitize them. I was told main duct/trunk sanitization is what they usually do and individual duct/vent sanitization is not a recommended practice actually. He offered to refund the extra charge for the vent sanitization that I didn't need. I appreciate that honesty and accountability.

Look no further then All Duct LLC! Nick & Malik from the start made the whole process very easy to understand. Non threatening and very educational to a first time home buyer in Clark NJ. Their prices are honest and very reasonable and they explain every step of the way the plan and what they recommend. To top it off, they warranty their work & any problems go out of the way to make the customer happy. I will be using for my annual dryer vent cleaning and HVAC maintenance as well because I am so satisfied with the service and professionalism. Don't hesitate and give Nick a call he's available even in the evening hours. Malik too is great he did such a great job. The old home owners did a DIY mess and my lint was a fire hazard blowing into who knows where, they recommended a complete new install to a new spot in the house and used high grade materials that will last years to come. They also repointed the bricks, sealed the flashing, and waterproofed the chimney, which solved a long-recurring problem of rain pooling in the attic and leaking into our bedroom ceiling. Everything they fixed stayed fixed. Referred them to neighbors and friends. My only regret is not thanking them more effusively for their stellar work. You guys are the tops! Hope this review brings many new clients your way.

Calling back the original roof contractor and informing them of the leak they said I needed to replace the siding of the house in the area of the chimney chase at the tune of $4000!! I then began calling other various contractors for this repair and was told all kinds of BS, from having to rebuild the chimney chase, having to wait as they were too busy, too cold (it was December) and told to wait until spring, etc. It was a bad leak and causing damage to my home not to mention the stress caused on me being at the mercy of contractors. So... I kept on searching contractors and came across Up On The Roof Chimney Sweep during I'm sure their busiest time of the year like everyone else's. However Up On The Roof Chimney Sweep promptly returned my call, took my information, promptly came to measure the chimney chase and came back with a reasonable price and did not take advantage of my situation! I scheduled the job with Up On The Roof Chimney Sweep and could not be happier with the quick prompt service and results that were received! It has been a full 2 months with some heavy gusty rains and no leak so this job was given the test of time! There is barely any worse feeling than being at the mercy of contractors when you have a situation that needs to be correctly fixed in a timely matter and not at a contractor's convenience. Up On The Roof Chimney Sweep not only fixed my chimney leak but relieved the awful stress on me from the start with their integrity, price, answering all my questions, and all the way to the finish product which looks great too! I highly recommend Up On The Roof Chimney Sweep and will definitely use again!!

Pete Soot's Chimney Cleaning & Restoration - Chimney Caps Done Perfect

Couldn't have had a better experience…read more There are two things people want when they need help with home projects: competece and honesty. I am fortunate to have found both in Pete. I had an emergency issue regarding my gas furnace and chimney and of the several companies that came to examine the problem (some of which are well known and highly rated) Pete was the only one to correctly diagnose the issue. In doing so, he saved me much money at his own expense and (more importantly) helped keep my family warm. Now, whether that is an indictment on the honesty of others or their lack of experience compared to that of Pete, I daren't speculate. Moreover, he gave me tips about my fireplace. He was prompt, affable, and patient enough to answer my myriad questions. When i have further work to do on my chimney his will be the first number I dial.

I thought he completed the job correctly, but I was wrong. Fast forward to September 2026 and I just completed an oil to gas conversion. The furnace company's chimney folks came to do a pre-inspection and discovered that Pete's installation was not only substandard, but not up to code. He was supposed to pull a permit, which he did not. He had cemented down the chimney cap instead of screwing it down properly. He was supposed to install a chimney plate but instead used insulation. The cement crown was not properly installed and he cut many corners with the installation of the piping into the wall and chimney liner. I was told he took a short cut and the pitch was wrong, causing condensation, among other issues. Basically, I was told that it was an amateur job that could not be certified and was not up to code. I called Pete who initially responded and said not to worry and he would take care of it, but then he completed ghosted me. He has since avoided all my calls and texts. I had three other chimney companies come to evaluate and they showed me the photos of the work that Pete did...and they all had similar feedback about the substandard workmanship. I don't normally write negative reviews, but I don't want someone else to end up like me. Lesson learned. Now i know to insist on a permit and withhold payment until it passes inspection.
