My pup and I both love this park. We go just about every day depending upon the weather. Only thing…read moreI dislike is that it doesn't have a running water hose to clean the dogs on the way out. Sometimes they get a bit messy, and it would be nice to clean them before heading home. Love the community feel of the park. Everyone sort of knows everyone and most of the dogs are regulars so we know the temperaments of each dog and which ones may get too rowdy so we can avoid that beforehand. Other than that, it's a really good park. Plenty of space, and most of the small dogs come to the big dog side and have no problems playing with the pups over there. Would be nice to put a small pavilion of some sort for some shade, especially for the elderly people that come in with their dogs. But all is all, it's a big park and we love it.

I just adopted an elderly dog and I have been concerned that he's not getting adequate exercise…read morebecause I live in a condo. I was really excited to find out about this park but I was a little concerned as I don't know just how well socialized he is. It turned out to be a great experience. Most of the dogs were large dogs while Teddy is under 30 lbs but small dogs and large dogs are kept separated. It didn't stop all the dogs from trying to meet and play with Teddy from the fence and it was really sweet to watch. The park itself offers benches, shaded areas and plenty of space to run and explore. They also have water available for the pups. There even appears to be a hiking trail behind the park that I was not aware of and I plan on checking out sometime.

Big park with lots to see! My husband and I went to play disc golf with our pup and enjoyed it…read moredearly. It's a little bit of a hike to play, but definitely a must-try for some minor adventure over the weekend. 18 holes total. Hole 1 is off of Santa Fe just passed W. Covell. You will see a smaller side entrance into the park right next to a large pavilion. You can't miss it!

I am a pretty active discgolfer and have played quite a few courses. This is definitely at the top…read moreof my list for courses in the okc area. It is not for beginners though. There are a lot of trees and wooded areas to lose discs in and the course isn't marked very well. If you get here and can't find your way around, there are usually local golfers that can help you. That being said, there are a lot of terrain changes and obstacles to make for a fun game. Even though there isnt a map to look at it's not too difficult to make your way through the course and they are making it easier all the time with new signage. Mitch Park is huge, so when you get to it pull into the West entrance off of Covell. Follow the street to the back left and park in the circle parking by the Kids Playground. From here, 18's basket and Hole 1 teepad is located behind the large pavilion..away from the circle parking. There is a board that will tell you what pin position the course is on and from there you will see how nice the course is. Have fun and ask for help if you need it. There are usually plenty of friendly people out there, most will let you play with them if you ask. There are also a few out of the way benches around the course and away from the walking trails...to get back to nature.
