This is a really well kept dog park on the west side of Norman. I am so glad I found out about it…read morebecause I was driving all the way to the park off of Robinson and E. 12th Street. Teddy is a bit of an old man who had been kept inside with a little sickly old woman most of his life so he doesn't really know how to "dog" so to speak and won't run around chasing or playing with the other doggos much. He does like to sniff and is pretty happy to be in a place where he can be off his leash for a while since I live in a condo with no yard to speak of. The handful of times we have come, there haven't been many small dogs and I'm almost tempted to take him in the side meant for large dogs as a lot of them seem friendly enough.

I first started coming here when my Great Dane, Minnie, was just a puppy. This was to help her socialize. Ever since then, it's felt like a second home. We even met the pup, Flynn(previously Tuna)that we ended up adopting here from the amazing Lindi. The atmosphere feels like home. There are so many things to do for both dogs and humans! While the dogs play, we usually grab some food and they are always introducing new items to the menu, so we always have new things to try whenever we visit. And I will say that I have never been disappointed with anything that we've ordered. The drinks are amazing too! Clever names, great prices, and delicious! They always have super fun events going on too! From weekly bingo and singo to pop up markets, events, Holiday parties, and even doggy prom! Thank you to everyone there that has made us feel like family. We're so grateful to be apart of this community. We love our pups second home. That's all for my really long review. The property managers keep the grass well maintained and doggie bags stocked. There is a pond in the back that is open seasonally. The locals that come always seem to be nice and pleasant to chat with. In 5 years I have only witnessed a handful of times owners that have been irresponsible or disrespectful to the rules. Best time to come for socialization is weekend in the morning. All other times there are none to a few people at the park. Highly recommend this venue for engagement or a good sniffing time! :)

WOW, if we could be any more disappointed, I'd be shocked. For small dogs you have to enter the large dog park FIRST and then go into the smaller one inside. No poop bag stations either- so clearly this was geared towards large dogs. Next- it was the most disgusting dog park- trash EVERYWHERE. Bottles with what looked like human pee in it? I tried to clean up the trash a bit before we let our pup play, but it just was not worth it and didn't want to risk her getting sick from something. I would suggest passing on this park if you are not a regular because clearly this is not maintained well.
