The east course is a little tougher but the both play well. I was over here looking to see if they might also have a disc course tied to it but didn't see one. Parts of this course dates back to the 20's. They have a very large clubhouse with food and drink as well as a nice practice driving and putting areas. There were a lot of folks out despite the temps and the winds.

A group of…read morefriends and I decided to get together to try the course out before, a few of us had played before and some of us had not. We waited for 15 minutes at the start as there was lots of congestion due to it being busy. When it was finally our groups turn to go, each for of us took a turn and while we took our turns a group of men behind us yelled insults/complaints at us (I.e. telling us to get off the course, ask for our money back, hurry up) which was extremely distracting and made it hard for all of us to golf. I eventually told the man that we also had to wait and he needed to not criticize us as he could see some of us were new to the game. Once all 4 of us finished, we continued along. This group of men (8 men) left and apparently asked for a rain check because we were "holding up the course" when in reality the course was extremely busy and everyone had to wait at the start. The general manager came to us and yelled at us because we "caused" these men to leave. I felt the general manager, Ty, was extremely rude and disrespectful. I also feel as if we were being discriminated against because we were the only women on the course at the time. I'd recommend this course not be supported as it is not an inclusive space for all levels and some of the regulars seem to be very belligerent.

The building seems a bit run down from what I remember. Built in 1961 and designed by architects Floyd Farley and Tripp Davis, it offers a par-72 layout playing from 5,275 to 6,695 yards across four sets of tees, with a course rating of 72.1 and slope of 121. The course features well-groomed fairways and greens, providing challenging yet accessible play for golfers of all skill levels, along with scenic views. The fairways and greens along the north side are dealing with road construction and a bridge replacement so I gets a little noisy over there.

The property is beautiful and as soon as you see the entrance to the hotel, you feel like you've been transported somewhere magical. Check in was quick and easy, staff and Victoria the owner, were so kind and welcoming. They were so sweet to my daughter, showed her all around the hotel and Victoria even generously gifted her a stuffed panda bear that she still loves. The indoor pool and hot tub were top notch, clean and relaxing. We had a blast swimming. Breakfast was delicious. We will stay there again even though it's just around the corner because it's such a special place
