These fries are good size bit steak fries not shoe sting but a great mix of both. I am not a ketchup fan so they offered me a spicy mayo for dipping, which just enhanced the flavor and deliciousness.

The blueberry gojuchang sauce was lost in a sea of purple slaw on the beef and the beef itself had a hard, crusty piece that looked like something that had hardened against the side of the hotel pan it sat in. The burning flower was probably my favorite, and that's coming from a carnivore. Overall, it was a good meal from great people and one I would get again, but I wouldn't go out of my way to find it.

This place is the real f$&@ing deal…read more When you hear "Portland charcuterie," the first thought you probably have is a very expensive miniature spread of minimal, mediocre food and a lot of pretentiousness. This is the absolute opposite of that. The owner of this food truck is incredible. He is passionate about what he does, and he wants to make his customers truly happy with his product. And he sure does. Vegan? Vegetarian? Gluten-free? Meat-eater? He's got you. And you aren't an after-thought. Cashew cheese? Homemade mushroom pate? Ghost pepper cheese? Carefully and perfectly selected vegetables to go with it all? It's unreal. It's affordable, delicious, and so thoughtfully put together. I hope this food truck truly succeeds and that everyone can enjoy what it has to offer. Portland's best.

Also, if you're gluten-free they can accommodate you too! 2. The price was super reasonable: $18, and (segue)... 3. The "board" (because I got mine to go) had SO MUCH GOING ON. I was actually delightfully overwhelmed by the generosity. My board had pickles and olives, homemade beet hummus, a homemade mushroom paté, a homemade wedge of cashew cheese, loads of berries and grapes and peppers and cucumbers and carrots, and a mound of crackers and bread. And, no, I didn't share. Because I like to feel full after eating something I spent money on (c'mon, new restaurants and other charcuterie board businesses: in the words of our freed girl Britney "give me, give me more, give more, give me, give me more"). Also that cashew cheese was *impressive*; I've been making my own nut-based cheeses for a decade and they're good, but this? This was exceptional. Mr. Tuna is one of three Open Table Exclusive restaurants in Maine, so most every local Chase Reserve card member uses their twice yearly $150 credit here, which explains my visit. The people watching from the outdoor tables on Middle Street must be some of the best in the city. You could easily sip a glass of sake (the dreamy clouds was...dreamy) while eating a toro maki roll and marveling at the tourists waiting in a two hour Eventide line. But we ordered the lemongrass fried tofu salad, salmon toro sashimi and 3 maki rolls, including the green crab special. Everything tasted fresh and excellent with only Yosaku in the same league for Old Port sushi. Of course Yosaku is much more authentic Japanese than Mr. Tuna, though Mr. Tuna is more fun. Like most trendy Portland restaurants, lunch for two with a couple drinks each is $200 all in (get that Chase card!). Still, this is a huge, inventive menu with a great bar program and is one of the surprisingly better summertime outdoor seating options.

A good sit down Mexican restaurant has been something that town has needed for a very long time! We pulled into the parking lot and we were the only ones there but a line had formed by the time we finished ordering. We went with 3 chicken and 3 carnitas tacos. With tip it came to about $27 which I'm okay with paying if the food is fresh and flavorful. The guys working the truck were all very friendly and the food came out in no time! We took our first bites and said good but was missing something.. I ran back to the truck to ask for some hot sauce and boy did they deliver! It was exactly what the tacos needed to kick them up to the next level. I preferred the chicken over the carnitas but they were both so so good. I can't wait until the restaurant is finished and we can actually sit down and eat a proper meal! Next time, I'd make sure to ask for extra hot sauce and some napkins. Not the easiest to eat tacos in your car without any!
