I wanted to share my first experience with A & B Asphalt as I really appreciated the customer…read moreservice I received. Last week I ordered 10 yards of gravel delivered to my residence. The intended purpose of the gravel was to install gravel paths in the garden and also to use the remainder of the gravel to spread in our parking area. When the load was delivered and dumped, it was not what I had expected. I had ordered a 5/8 minus black basalt gravel, exactly what I had gotten a pick-up truck load of a couple weeks ago. When it was delivered, the gravel hsd excessive amounts of soil mixed in, not just the sandy fines I was expecting. Immediately I was disappointed and concerned as to how this could be "fixes." I first took photos of the gravel and then called A & B asking to speak with a manager. I spoke with Darren who I was able to send photos to via e-mail. Darren seemed to "know" that the gravel delivered was not the correct material and he indicated it would be resolved. I was unsure how something of this nature could be fixed, so I waited to hear back from them to find out their solution. Within a couple of hours, they did indeed call back and let me know a backhoe and dump truck were on the way out to pick-up the original 10 yards and that the correct material would then be delivered. I was impressed! By the time I got home at 2:30pm that afternoon, the second load of gravel was just arriving and I was able to chat with the driver after he had dumped his load. Never did A & B suggest or even hint that I was incorrect or that I should make do with the inferior product that was delivered. They were very quick to address the issue and resolve it, which allowed me to stay on schedule for my own project and proceed without any delays. My husband had to remind the workers that they forgot to clean the inside of a couple of the windows. They tracked mud and dirt inside the house, left a mess when cleaning the outside tracks, and broke a sliding glass door screen. Plus, out three sliding glass doors screens did not get cleaned at all. When informing the owner, he just ignored me as I expected a rebate or an offer to fix the screen. They did a terrible job and I would never recommend this company.

We had never even bothered to see if it would come off. But now that we're getting ready to sell the house I'd been reckoning with the expensive decision to replace them. Just in case I could avoid that, I contacted Flipco and the owner Jack came by the next day to take a look. His diagnosis was that usually after a few years of untreated desposits, the glass is too damaged to save but ". . .maybe we can do something." Good enough for me! One of Jack's crew came the following day and was able to make them about 90% perfect, amazing! Polished up the windows and cleaned the neglected screens. Saved me a lot of money in not needing new windows and I'm very grateful. Can't stop looking at them.

My voucher expired and the owner said that he would not honor the face value of the voucher. That was $118. Other businesses have gone above and beyond and honored their voucher or put face value towards their service. The owner was rude and unprofessional adamantly refused to at least honor what I payed for. Very disappointed and I'm sure his service speaks the same.
