My dad painted houses as a 2nd job for 30+ years and I know what prep work, painting and clean up looks like. Just because someone can use a pressure washer, a paint sprayer, a calking gun and a paint brush/roller does NOT mean they know what they are doing! I had paint flakes everywhere from what I can only assume was from the pressure washer because the flaking paint on my deck didn't get scraped off, just painted over. The lady who gave me my estimate came out the next day and I pointed out everything I could find. She asked me to attach a little piece of tape by everything and they would be out to fix things. They repaired some but not all and not only did they not clean up the trash around my house or clean up the roof where they painted our chimney but all those tape pieces I put up to mark spots were on the ground as well as a paint lid, old calking, tips from the calk, paint on my retaining wall blocks around my house, calking and dried paint on my indoor/outdoor carpet on my deck and a few cigarette butts. Oh and they cleaned up paint brushes and the sprayer on my lawn so now I have dead spots. The scheduling was an issue since I was unable to get an ETA so I could make sure to put my big dogs inside, I ended up sitting around for 2 days waiting for them to show up. I will no longer take someones word when they claim to be professional. I did get a call from a manager wanting to chat and maybe do a walk around but my thought was...why? If they didn't get it right the first time or the second time then why would I think the third time will be any different? Besides I've cleaned up the mess and when the paint starts peeling I can handle it myself since I know what I'm doing.

Force Power Washing was hired to clean my apartment building today. They haven't gone through and…read morechecked for vents or done any kind of prep work. The guy spraying water just wets everything down and moves on. He just sprayed directly under my door and made a huge puddle. When I opened the door and said, "Hey, your spraying water all around my door!" He pulled a real attractive face and said sarcastically, "Sorry." and moved about 10 feet down (without washing anything else) and continued spraying water. There is still dirt all over the building, even where he did spray, because he didn't actually bother to see if anything came clean. He is just getting the building wet and collecting his money. Also, the photos on his website and pulled from Google images. The really impressive one of the cedar roof is from a website about how to care for cedar roofs. He's a tool who doesn't actually care about doing a good job. He thought there was some easy money to be made, and apparently he's right. I have pictures of my "clean" building, but I don't see a way to post them. You'll have to trust me. It's still filthy. Getting the dirt wet didn't do anything but create mud splatters on the lower part of the building. Please don't hire this company.

Wanting to help a local business, I called Handy Hands Construction. He came out and looked at my…read moresprinklers. He was going to come back Monday at 5 PM. I got a call Monday afternoon asking if he could come by Fourth of July at 8 AM. I said oh you're working on a holiday? He said oh yeah. I said, you're not gonna charge me more because of the holiday? He said oh no. So the fourth came. 8 o'clock came nobody showed up. 8:30 came I texted to see if he was going to show up? I heard nothing. So I called him at 9 AM and said are you coming over? You said you'd be here at 8 and now it's 9 o'clock. He said I am on my way. I was pulling weeds in the rocks in my yard before he got here. When he did show up, he started digging a hole and I commented that I had a lot of weeds in my rocks this year and started pulling the weeds while he was digging. He quietly mentioned that he used to work for JD and Sons when he came over to give me a bid. I told him I had had interactions with JD & Sons before moving here. They never showed up. He then loudly said JD and SON! I said yeah, JD and Sons. He again looked over at me and loudly said SON with extra emphasis on the N. Not plural. He then said sarcastically, that's my DAD you're talking about! Oh, then I quickly corrected him and said, "I wasn't saying anything bad about him! I wasn't saying anything bad about him. And I didn't. I turned around and continued to pick at some of the weeds and he filled the hole back up with the dirt, turned around and picked up his bucket and a shovel. He walked away and he said, "you have a nice day" and I said what did I do? I didn't do anything. What did I do? So then he goes online and bashes me and makes up stories. I don't appreciate that, so this is not a business I would ever deal with. Like father like son, his dad walked off the job and refused to do it for no reason (at a house I lived at before I moved to this one) other than he would never call us back or show up and when my ex asked him about it, why he would never call us back, got mad and said I'm not doing the job and said fu** you and walked away. They both had a really bad attitude and that's not the way to do business. He told me he doesn't advertise. He just goes by word of mouth. And this mouth is going to put the word out. Do not use this business. I haven't written a bad review in a long time. I love writing good reviews, but this guy made it impossible.
