This is the first preschool my granddaughter has attended and she loves it! The daily program and routine is awesome and I can't say enough about the wonderful and caring staff. This Preschool is hands down the BEST!!!! All 3 of my kids attended and LOVED EVERY DAY OF IT. From the office to the teachers to the teachers aid everyone is so nice and loving and truly love the kids. I had such peace of mind when dropping my kids off. I knew they were in good hands which made it easy to return back to work. My kids still talk about this preschool and their teachers. They are currently in 7th 4th and 1st grade. They all made such amazing memories that they will remember for a lifetime. Go take a tour and you will see what I'm talking about. We've had such an amazing experience at Sonshine! My son has been there for two years and I know he'll be so much more prepared and successful in kindergarten, both socially and academically as a result of all he has learned there. He loves going to school and loves the friends he's made and the experiences he's had there. The teachers are amazing and highly qualified and gifted at what they do. Sonshine preschool is an amazing place with amazing teachers! Both my small children attended preschool and pre-k and they loved it as well! My daughter is finishing up kinder and has had a most awesome year and both of them just got accepted into gifted and talented education in TUSD! My daughter started in 2s class and now is in 3s class. She loves going to school each day and we love the staff!! Everyone is really nice. My daughter's vocabulary has grown so much since she started! There is learning through play for their curriculum but they definitely have a good balance with play time and learning time! Great school with AMAZING staff! Wouldn't take my children anywhere else!

I am lucky enough to have the experience to review Sonshine as a parent of children there over the course of 10 years. My oldest son started at Sonshine with Ms. Prairie at age 2. He had extreme separation anxiety with other people, and cried so much when we left him that he would vomit. He adjusted really quickly when he started at Sonshine and had very few rough drop offs. Ms. Prairie was so patient and reassuring with him. The staff were always happy to answer my phone calls to check in on him. They were also extremely accommodating and helpful because he was already potty trained. He took about a year off of Sonshine to attend another school with me while I was employed there, and as soon as I began staying home after having my second baby, I placed him back at Sonshine for he remainder of pre-K. He had a wonderful experience, was truly prepared for kindergarten, and learned so much. He thrived in kinder and beyond and is still at the top of his class in middle school. His preschool foundation provided him that jump start. My middle son started at Sonshine when he was 3 1/2, and spent two whole years there. He was in the threes class for a year and pre-k for a year. In the threes, he really spent most of the year socializing, learning cooperation with other kids, and doing a lot of play. He always came home smiling and really had a blast. In the pre-k class, he learned all the essentials for being kinder ready. He went to kinder extremely prepared and is thriving in second grade. He's a social butterfly and the time he spent at Sonshine around other children was so valuable for him. My youngest child also started Sonshine in the threes, and is going to graduate from pre-k next month. She was unbelievably shy when she started preschool. She cried at drop off, was worried about being left at school away from me, and took a while to warm up. The teachers in the threes class were so comforting and kind, never made her feel bad for being sad when I left, encouraged her to share her feelings, and worked with me to make drop offs more easy for both of us. She was super shy with her peers to begin with, and the teachers never forced her to join in. They always let her do things in her own time and she came out of her shell little by little. When she started pre-k, the teachers knew in advance she was shy and drop off was a challenge, and they worked with us from day one to make her comfortable and help her adjust. She has come so so far in her shyness and is now extremely social and drop off is a breeze. I credit the teachers at Sonshine 100% for that. My daughter started pre-k already reading, so we weren't really focused on preschool academics with her. We wanted her social and emotional readiness for kinder to be where kinder would be an easy transition for us, and Sonshine has provided that beyond expectation. She is going to kinder confident, able to easily make friends, and able to separate from mom seamlessly. I would like to mention how wonderful the director and assistant director are as well. Communication is always on point. We have constant contact through the remind app, Facebook, emails, and phone calls. The family events they do throughout the year such as the Halloween parade, the rodeo performance, the Christmas pageant, the carnival, etc are so special and really make Sonshine feel like so much more than preschool. You aren't just getting preschool with Sonshine, you are getting a family. I will be very sad to see my last child leave Sonshine after them being such an integral part of our family on and off for 10 plus years. I cannot recommend this preschool enough. We are so happy we found this play-based preschool. The staff is amazing with our kiddo, and a number of the employees have been there for many years. They are so caring and communicative and our child comes home happy and educated. It was very daunting to find a child care provider and as parents we always worry, but Sonshine maintains a nurturing and clean environment for our developing little one. I can't say enough good things about Sonshine Preschool. My daughter began in the 2 year old room and continued in the 3's and Pre-K room. She was more than ready for kindergarten after graduating from Sonshine. They have a wonderful balance of teaching social skills and academic skills. It is a happy place to be a kid! read more
