My blood was drawn by a wonderful, engaging phlebotomist. Got a great vein on the first try. I was out at 7:37. I highly recommend having an appointment when you go. I had an appointment to get lab work done and as waiting for 25 min before I went up there to ask how much longer it would as for my turn. The lady behind the desk that there were 3 people in front of me. What is the point of making appointments if you have to wait more than 45 min to o be seen.?I went ahead and cancelled my appointment. The technician that draw blood are also in charge of entering insurance information s that it's a minimum of 10 million n per patient. The office is crowded, dirty and smells terrible. I was very impressed with this lab! I initially called to make an appointment, but there were no morning appointments available for a few days. The person I spoke to was very helpful, suggesting that I go to the lab between 6a-7a as a 'Walk In'. We arrived to the lab at 6:15a, and there were already quite a few people. The lab has a Kisok to check-in, and there are also Covid screening questions on the check-in. We only had to wait for about 15 minutes, and I took this opportunity to look at the brochure on 'Patient Ordered Tests'. Hmm, this was an entirely new concept for me, and I found this very interesting. There are lots of tests available ( see attached screen shots) and the prices are even listed for each test. NO Dr. Order is needed for these tests. Sofia was my phlebotomist, and was awesome. I didn't even feel the needle. She was also careful to confirm my name, birth date- and even showed me the lab tubes with my name label. Sofia also had excellent hand hygiene- using hand gel. All of these details stand out to me as a Registered Nurse. Having a patient portal is very important to me, and I have already registered just to see how easy the process is. Everything was stream lined and secure. I was even asked to confirm details to ensure it was really me, such as selecting the correct company I used to work at long ago from a multiple choice list. In summary, I HIGHLY recommend this lab. They are efficient, and follow proper hand hygiene and covid precautions. All the staff were engaged and friendly. Their on line portal is awesome. My appointment was at 8:00am and they needed me to email my doctors orders to them. I sent it and no one confirmed if they received it or not. So I'm just sitting there waiting and notice my name on the board says "paused" next to it. So I go back up to the counter and ask if they received it. She said "no" and that was it! Just no other response. So I ask for the email address again and sit back down... again I'm waiting and waiting. 20 mins go by and still nothing. I go back up and ask again if it was received. She stares at the computer and then finally goes "I just got it" like just the tone of voice and attitude of the front desk employees is awful. I get that you want things to move smoothly and efficiently but this attitude is awful. A little politeness goes a long way! I won't be using this facility again. The high light of my appointment was Juanita. I'm terrified of getting my blood drawn and she was really fantastic. She distracted me and kept me talking while she sucked the life out of me lol. read more

I recently visited Sonora Quest Laboratories for a biometric screening, and I am disappointed with my experience. During my visit, my blood pressure was measured, and the readings were alarmingly high--something very unusual for me. The technician checked it twice, and both readings were consistently high. Concerned about this result, I left and immediately had my blood pressure checked five more times elsewhere, and every single reading was normal. This clearly indicates that the blood pressure machine cuff used during my visit is defective or not calibrated properly. Providing inaccurate readings is potentially harmful, as it could lead to unnecessary stress or even inappropriate medical interventions. Additionally, the second time he checked my blood pressure that was written on my biometric screen and is not accurate. I am very upset and urge Sonora Quest to address this issue promptly. Equipment used for health screenings must be reliable and accurate to maintain trust and provide proper care. Please take this matter seriously and ensure your equipment is properly maintained and functioning. Buy new blood pressure cuffs what you have is shit. read more

Keep appointment time within 15 -30 min of arrival. Not 45-60 minutes, then what's the point of making an appointment? Especially elderly patients 75+yrs old. Plenty of chairs to wait in that's a good thing. Kiosks are very small for elderly eyes, need bigger screen. My mom's name kept going up and down the waitlist multiple times, strange. I guess some idea of how long to wait is better than none. read more

Sonora Quest only ran 3 out of 4 of the tests that my doctor ordered. They didn't bother to tell me that they were just ignoring the fourth test when it would have been an easy and quick fix. I would not recommend this lab. read more

Hello, on 4/8/23 I arrived to your Goodyear, AZ location located off of McDowell at 9:55 am. The listed office hours for Saturday are 6 - 10 am. The staff had already locked the door, so no patients could enter. The staff opened the door at 9:58 am to let a patient leave, when this happened I could see multiple patients still seated and waiting to be helped. However, the staff told me the location was closed and to drive 20 minutes to a different location. I must say, this didnt feel right and caused me to have very negative feedback about this experience that I am considering sharing on Yelp. If the office closes at 10 am, please dont lock the door or stop seeing patients prior. This is not ok. read more

Finally got up to ask the front desk only to find their system failed and didn't record my check in even though the screen said it did and to take a seat. Usually, I make an appointment for Blood work. But, my doctor is in a hurry, so I did a walk in. The place was pretty crowed at 10:50A.M. But, I was in and out in 28 minutes. So, pretty quick service, imo. My tech, Anna, did a great job on taking my blood. I hardly felt the needle go in. And, in the past, the techs for my mother did very good to excellent in taking her blood. Also, considering we have deep vains, they find them with little effort. read more

They close at 10 but I made it at 9:30 and was turned away. They let 2 white women that went in after me but the Hispanic and black lady were turned away by the front nurse. I never felt like my race had an issue till today. Cause we were waiting outside for an address for an office but the white ladies said I know your almost closed but you think you can make an exception and the girl right in front of us said yes. I was a walk in for routine blood work, checked in at 8:10 and left at 8:25. I have never had quicker service in my life. But the best part of my short visit was Raul. As soon as I walked in, I heard him directing everyone on how to check in and what to do afterwards in the most pleasant and calming manner I have ever seen. I was extremely impressed, and this made everything go smoothly for everyone. Fortunately, he was also my phlebotomist and had the best hand as I did not feel any pain. I brought my 11 month old here for some labs. I was expecting a couple pricks on his fingers or feet. Instead they put a needle in his arm. Maybe that's the way it needed to be done. But I'm giving them 2 stars because she stuck the needle in and dug around looking for a vein in his little arm. Then instead of putting a wrap on his arm she put the tape. Which is the hardest to get off. A bandaid would have been better On the positive side we didn't have to wait long to be seen. read more

I paid out of pocket for a Covid antibody test. Was told 3-5 days but it could be a week. Two weeks passed 2 days ago. I tried to contact them by phone; their message says they accept voicemail only with a 24-48 hour turn around. 96 hours into that cycle. I understand it's a pandemic. My first visit was good and I wrote a good review to reflect that, but.....unfortunately I am writing a not-so-good update. On the day of my doctor's appt., two weeks after my lab visit, my doctor's office called to say, the lab had missed one of my tests, and we would have to cancel my appt., and I would have to go back to get the test they missed. I did, but was disappointed because now I have to wait another two weeks for my doctor's visit which makes it longer to start treatment so I can start to heal. This lab is a joke. I had blood drawn on Mar 15th for a discussion with my doctor on April 4th. Still haven't received my results yet. I've tried to call but I get put on hold and no one ever answers. Complained with an email and got a response back that they have too many COVID-19 tests and staffing shortages. It's hard to believe there are staffing shortages because when I went into the Riggs Road location, the facility appeared fully staffed and most employees were just standing around doing nothing. So I paid for a blood test and got nothing in return. If you want to waste your money and get nothing for it, use Sonora Quest. Otherwise avoid them like the Plague. This is a business that should be put out of business. read more

Make sure you don't eat anything after dinner the night before. The waiting room is large, but be prepared to wait. There are plenty of people needing lab work. The actual draw is fast, and they quickly found a good vein with only one poke. Yay! The vein was good thanks to 60 oz. of water in the morning. Yay, me! I left and phoned my doctor and told them I'd have to cancel my appointment with him.
