While I was at the office I asked the staff if I could book for the next day as the appointments left didn't work for me, but they could not help with that. Her recommendation was to come into the office at 6:00am to see what appointments were available - so doesn't look like the staff has any control over scheduling - its all controlled by website/kiosk.

I am also disabled and it's hard for me to get the energy to make it to the lab so having her come to my home was just so helpful. I just got my results and there's a lot that showed up that will now help my doctors figure out what's going on. I credit that all to Kelle and her processing my blood tests accurately so the tests would come back correct. She also worked with me in getting the lower blood volume taken for each test since I have blood volume issues. I will always use her from now on for peace of mind and her professionalism and superb care. I'm so thankful to her. Thank you so much.

I have used this service for over a year now to complete monthly blood work for my elderly mother…read morewho has dementia and lives in an assisted living facility. Mom does not usually do well with procedures and doctor visits in the morning. 1st Choice is aware of this as we have had at least three discussions about it over the past year. Recently the scheduling process has become even less customer friendly. Following is an example of how they operate: Yesterday mid day I received an email stating Mom's blood draw was scheduled for noon today. Then at 4:25 yesterday afternoon I received another email and text stating the appointment had been moved to 9 am. I immediately called and the phone was answered by an unprofessional sounding young woman who took over 10 minutes to locate the appointment. She then informed me it was too late to change it. I told her the 9 am time would not work and why. She said she'd send a message to someone (not sure who). Subsequently I texted, called, left a voicemail message, and sent an email requesting contact. No response. Fast forward to this morning. At 7:39 I received a text stating the technician was on his way. 30 seconds later I received a text stating work was finished. I immediately called and left another voicemail asking that someone contact me about scheduling. No one has. So to recap: this company scheduled an early appointment for the next day. I called within 15 minutes but they refused to change it, even though the time scheduled was their mistake. Then they showed up unannounced almost 90 minutes earlier than that! Wow. I've given this company 2 stars only because so far they haven't screwed up the actual blood draw. But as far as scheduling is concerned they seem to care more about their own convenience than that of my Mom. They literally just show up whenever they want.
