Total waste of money. I do not recommend Sono Bello Troy to anyone looking to get body contouring. You will most likely feel worse about yourself afterward and be out of a lot of money. I used to be a bit overweight. Now I am permanently disfigured. They were all nice to my face but did not care about my concerns. It's all about the money for them! Their office has several people working there. I met with a different person each time for all of my post-op appointments. I blame myself for not researching them before I spent so much of my hard earned money. I visited the Better Business Bureau after my procedure and the nation-wide company as a whole has hundreds of complaints. Look at there stars. It's pure torture. They cannot put you to sleep. Drugs to eff you up and a tennis ball for the pain. And my stupid "doctor" slipped and messed up one of my sides. My drug induced ME had tears rolling down my face. They are so degrading with what they make you wear. It was awful and as of today my mid-section is altered in a bad way. AND you have to wear a binder for 6 months to a year. Bad for your bones. Awful. Just awful. I cannot believe they are allow to torture people this way. Again AWFUL!! 6months out and I can definitely say it is the worst mistake I've ever made. My tummy has an ugly scar on it that is still tender. The surgical area is lopsided-and where the scar is it creates an indent and the fat settles on each side of it. My tummy is not smaller/flatter but bigger than I started. This is sad and disheartening. Sono Bella only guarantees fixing the procedure if you are the same weight or less. I do not qualify because I have been over since surgery due to swelling that consistently happens, which is something I wasn't having before surgery. read more

You're lucky if you lose 5 pounds for 14,000.00. This place is a joke. I went there with intention to have all of the fat in my inner legs removed. Even the office told me on there "surgical chart" in what I was paying for, and this doctor didn't even come close to the way it was described to me. During the surgery I was in pain and had to urinate badly, so much to the point too where I was begging for a catheter, and they still did nothing! The surgical team were singing and avoiding my cry for help. Then when I left I had to have my driver bring me to the nearest hospital for an emergency catheter for drainage. After I went home for my recovery, the fluid never drained properly. I drove back to their office an unnecessary 16 times for them to fix what they never did right, and they still refused to take care of me. I am now stuck with extra fluid in my left leg, and is deformed now. It feels like I have needles jammed in it. DON'T EVER GO HERE. Stay away as far as you can. There are plenty of other plastic surgeons out there who will do better than this hack job company. Hope this has helped you out. read more

I had great care during my surgery on July 11th. I'm a bit worried as I can't honestly say I've seen a difference yet. If anything, my stomach seems worse. I had liposuction and abex. They insist it takes a while, but I'm hoping I didn't make a mistake having this procedure. I've lost no weight nor gone down any size. My fingers are crossed. Dr. Mucci was wonderful. I the think the one issue with negative comments is because people are unaware that there is a lot of post-op treatment/work to ensure your best results. I would recommend doing a lot of research prior to your procedure. I could not be happier about the staff and my experience. Dr. Lakin is a very talented surgeon and knows his stuff. Incredible Experience! Jackita & Dr. McCreary deserve every star. Not just my immediate care team, but every single member of the staff. TOP NOTCH. My experience with Sono Bello TROY was amazing. Initially I went in for one area and left doing 5 areas total. The entire process changed all of the preconceived ideas I had about plastic surgery. As I am sure if you are reading this review, you have read many terrible ones about the out of state Sono Bellos. Rest assured there is no comparison. I read myself into a sleepless week prior to surgery because of those negative reviews but I just couldn't believe after my experience pre-op that anything like that would happen to me. I am so glad I took the leap of faith. The entire process was a breeze. Here is a quick review: Day of procedure: it was about one hour and a half from arrival before the procedure began. Dr. McCreary & Jackita were so awesome and funny, I felt completely at ease. They explained clearly before and while it was taking place everything they were doing. The pain was about a 0/10 during the procedure, but the initial freezing part was pretty uncomfortable. You will forgot about any pain or discomfort the second you see yourself post op. I left for home about 2pm. Since my surgery was at 8am, Dr. McCreary called that evening but I was totally knocked out after the day my Body went through. I followed my post op instructions to a T. And am thankful I did, because of this my bruising, and swelling was very minimal although it still exists at 11 days post op. Overall it's too soon to see the final results, but I can say 11 days in, WOW. when I sit down I don't have rolls anymore, all My pants fit, I can finally throw out my spanx!!!! I feel sexy, even with the swelling. I am SO GLAD I did this for myself. Don't wait any longer and if you are freaking out, stop. This is one regret you will not have. I'm only giving one star because I had to. This office is very dysfunctional and unprofessional. I do not recommend them to anyone. I was set up for an appointment for a procedure and I received a text message that my procedure would be canceled due to an issue with my deposit. They decided to text me instead of call me which is extremely unprofessional. When I contacted Melissa who is the office manager according to her, she was very rude and told me that Kristy was unavailable. Ironically enough during my conversation with Melissa Kristy continued texting me. My stomach looks as good as can expected (lost 100 lbs prior, soooo..), but I was not happy at all with my upper booty / lower back, and L. handles :). It appears, kinda like, the surgeon sculpted my waist line, as if I had high female hips. Which kinda accentuated the 'uni-butt' look.. I went from dad bod, to mama bod... Don't worry, I haven't gotten out my wife high heels and makeup as of yet... Prior to my 3 month visit I started reading negative reviews. A few from this location, and many from their original location in.., I think Cali. They all seemed to indicate that Sono B was not going to touch up, or, in my opinion, finish the job. Going into my 3 month visit I was very *nervous, and actually a little sick. I was convinced that I was gonna get blown-off re my concerns, satisfaction with the results, and really just incomplete job. I know, I know, but *Keep in mind, this was the reward, and final chapter, of my 15 year, 100 pound journey. I could not of been more wrong. I waited a few minutes, and the nurse promptly took me back. I voiced my concerns, and let her know Id like them to finish - that kinda sounds like I was being a tough guy about it, def wasn't, more pleasie-ish:). She was very sweet, professional, informational and understanding. She then took pictures, recorded my concerns, and promptly requested a consult with a surgeon, whom she thought would be best. She told me that she will file a request with the main office, after surgeon approval, and they typically get you back in pretty quick after your 6 month appointment. I Found Sono Bello in 2017 Post while in the care of someone else I lost my 5yo Son in death which led to my move from Arizona to Michigan as you could Never imagine I was beyond Stressed Out and put on some weight as the result. I was Grieving my loss and adjusting to what is now my life without my baby boy, my quest for "The New Normal!" I needed ((something)) to feel good about! I met Nicole at Sono Bello who did my initial consultation I opened up to her about my loss, I explained my insecurities (My gut) and she was compassionate & seemed to really Care.. emailed me consistently for payment to get me schedule for so I could start my "New Beginning!" even opened up to me about her own personal life, also the Staff was Kind and went above and beyond to help me until after my procedure, after that I barely had one question answered during my follow up appts. OH! and Nicole No Longer worked for the company.. I paid over $6k to get Two areas of my stomach lipo'd (If that's a word) I followed Everything that the doctor told me and there was Zero results. I Lost NOTHING!!! even the Nurse who did my intake pic?? At my 8mth or Year f/u appt. Said she did NOT notice a difference in my pictures.. her suggestion was I should talk with the doctor. Which I scheduled Two appts with Him, one was Cancelled by the Office, then Reschedule by them but the time did not work with my schedule so I canceled. I could've honestly went and got a Colonic and lost more weight. I am Very upset, Unhappy but mostly sadden with my results, with the poor service I received afterward I feel they received my money. I had a procedure with Sono Bello in Troy, Michigan on Feb 26, 2021. When I went in for my consultation, I was debating between Sono Bello and another Doctor, the sales rep then started talking really bad about the other doctor that I was thinking of going to and completely putting him down. She convinced me that their procedure was better and less invasive and none of that was true and I wish I went to the other doctor instead of this place. I was told the laser Lipo would take about 3 to 4 hours and the downtime is 2 to 3 days. I was also told that I would barely feel any pain because it's supposed to be minimally invasive. The day that I had my surgery scheduled, someone from the accreditation department was there and Sono Bello asked if he could stand in there and I said yes because I figured well the doctor can't mess up since he's in there. When they gave me the local anesthesia I fainted and the doctor and the nurse had to pick me up and put in a chair and I felt really sick and then when they put me on the table I started screaming in pain and asking him to stop. While the accreditation department was in there, the doctor did stop one time for maybe a minute but then when the accreditation department left, the doctor told the nurse well since he's not coming back let's do a little more and I kept screaming and telling him to stop and he wouldn't stop all he kept telling me was I'm almost done. This was very traumatic for me because this made a childhood trauma resurface. Then after the procedure they put maxi pads over the cuts and I was bleeding everywhere and when the nurse took me to my husband, she was very concerned and told him "The doctor was extremely aggressive with her more than he should have been and I don't understand why." I have never in my life seen medical professionals cover cuts with maxi pads, my sister had to get medical supplies and bandaged me the proper way, however I was not told that I would bleed like that. Since the procedure, I have been in severe pain I keep getting dizzy, lightheaded and I'm unable to sleep right. This being a cosmetic procedure, if the patient says stop, I feel like we should have the right for him to stop and accept the appearance, not him make his own decision and continue that painful procedure. To make matters even worse, my abdomen is completely uneven and has made me even more insecure, and saw no difference in my back or arms. Sono Bello claims that they permanently remove fat which is very untrue because it does come back and twice as bad but it doesn't stop there. Since then, I have had major back pain and stomach pain. My back from the top right to the center randomly locks up and puts me in so much pain and this started happening after the procedure, also my lower back, I cannot sleep at night or function throughout the day from this pain unless I take Motrin 800 along with bio freeze or icy hot patches and it takes hours for the pain to calm down for me to be able to sleep, which it doesn't diminish the pain it only minimizes it, this also started happening after the procedure. I have also been having stomach issues ever since I've had this procedure I am constantly throwing up! I never used to throw up and now I'm throwing up at least a few times a week and it's not certain foods that make me throw up it's just a pain in my stomach that started after the procedure. The pain is from cut to cut where the incisions were made it burns, I feel like my skin is on fire on the inside and I am completely miserable. I have been taking so much Motrin and pain relievers that it caused me to have a miscarriage because I was taking them not knowing that I was pregnant. I have been unable to return to work because I am unable to stand or sit for long periods of time, also started after the procedure, and my life has not been the same since this procedure. It has been almost 2 years and I am still in this constant state of pain, I cannot get through my day without pain relievers. I'm not sure what they did to me, but I have never had these issues before this operation, never had any back problems or stomach issues. What I experienced and still experiencing, is completely unfair. This procedure completely destroyed my life. I filed a complaint with the medical board and I would like a full refund immediately! read more

I waited in the lobby for 45 minutes AFTER my appointment time, I had a joint appointment with my mother and I. We realized we had to leave to pick up my little brother at school and 'reschedule'. Before deciding to go to Sonobello, I did some research on the company. Most of the people were complaining about the lack of concern about the patient and more concern about making a purchase. I pretty much experienced the same thing. I was going to be starting a new job. I asked how much down time would I experience, I was told I would be fine in a couple of days. That was not true. I wanted to postpone the surgery, I was told by Samatha that I would have to go with a sooner date because the promotion would be over and it would cost me more money. I had never had anything 'done' before and was a bit apprehensive, but they take the time to answer all questions and are super friendly as well. You can tell they are passionate about what they do and enjoy making people feel better about themselves. I went in for my one week post op follow up appointment after having my stomach and waste contoured and while still a bit swollen and bruised can definitely see the difference already. It has definitely not been painless and there is still some discomfort a week out. But, from what I see so far, it is definitely worth it!
