I have been seeing nurse Raquel for about eight months. I have seen her for: Botox, filler under my eyes, collagen stimulator in my temples, and microneedling. I have absolutely loved my results from every appointment. Choosing an injector is hard. Raquel is very well educated in both medicine and aesthetics. She has continued her education over the years through trainings, which is very important to me. It is crucial to be knowledgeable of medicine, anatomy, techniques, possible complications and how to treat them. When it comes to cosmetic treatments I think it is also important to have the *eye* for it, which Raquel certainly does. Raquel is the perfect mix of knowledge, skill, and knowing what looks best on each person. Raquel is so kind, calm, welcoming, honest, and has the utmost integrity. One day I went in and requested fillers in my jawline and chin. She told me I did not need it, and suggested another treatment option. She told me to save my money and the treatment she performed instead completely addressed what I was concerned about. She saved me about $3,200. She only cares about taking care of her patients and doing what's best for each individual. Overall, my entire experience at Dr. Schenden's office and spa has been delightful. The entire staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. The offices are very clean, always run on time, and carry great products. First and foremost Dr. Kroese is absolutely amazing. I went to her because I had juvaderm done else where and wasn't at all satisfied with my results. By recommendation of a friend, I ended up here and I am now so very happy! DO NOT GO THERE FOR BOTOX. I went to RAQUEL MERLINI after my hairstylist recommended her. Since then, my hairstylist and others she has sent to Raquel have STOPPED going b/c of the horrible results they were getting. I kept going b/c my first result with Raquel was great, so despite all the negative stuff I was hearing, I kept giving her the benefit of the doubt even when my next few times were just ok. This past time, after getting 34 units - NO results. Tons of movement/lines. I went for a touch up and was CHARGED! This is the only place I have ever been to or heard of that charges for touch up. After 5 more units (so 39 total now), and approx $400.00 later, I still look like I never got treated. I spoke to the office manager MARGARET, and she was so rude and unprofessional. She advised that there was no one else I could see about this other than Raquel and that DR. SCHENDEN (who owns the practice) is way too busy to deal with any of his injectable patients. She was hardcore in defending Raquel and seemed to care less about my results or losing my business, which they most definitely have. read more

Big name, Big office, YET POOREST SERVICE! Don't be fooled by his appearance and his luxurious office. Not as proficient as he looks and sounds. Do not do surgery in his surgical center or for that matter with him. Staff not caring after surgical procedure and just want to get rid of you as soon as procedure is complete. Anesthesiologist actually put a tube down my nose and throat after a rhinoplasty surgery because she had not removed all the blood during the procedure. I have a scar on the front of my nose as a result of the surgery he performed on me. He was also supposed to place fat in my lips and cheeks but he said they didnt pick up. He also did liposuction on my arms and I see no difference. More than $8000 down the drain and I get deformity for the rest of my life. What really bothered me the most is that he did not admit to his mistake. He oversimplied my scar at the beginning and claimed it was a ruptured pimple under my cast. I went to three other opinions and all said something went wrong during the procedure or he did not place the cast correctly. I could go on and explain more and more, but no words can explain the actuality. I came with my husband for consultation. First, I have to note the punctuality, Dr. Schenden sees you exactly at the scheduled time, no wasting time in the waiting room. Then, Dr. Schenden listens carefully and asks questions. Only after that he begins to talk about available options, taking time to describe in great detail every one and stopping for answering questions that arise. I was particularly impressed when Dr. Schenden suggested that I would be happy with the results doing less than I originally intended. This was in stark contrast to other consultations I had, where the Dr. "X" suggested that while at it, I should also do my nose, which I had no issue with! I believe Dr. Schenden is very professional and experienced but also an artist; he sculpts competently and confidently and very clearly knows where he is going. The office and the OR staff are above and beyond exceptional! They are pure pleasure on every level! I had an eye lift (blepharoplasty) and a mini facelift, cause Dr. Schenden said there's no room for a full one! The results are amazing. I am soooooo happy. Seeing the results, my husband joined with his own puffy eye procedure and he is soooooo HAPPY, as well. Of course the excellent end result is the major benefit but the very positive atmosphere at the office, the pleasant but confident professionalism contribute a lot before, during and after the procedure. One indispensable factor is the detailed book Dr. Schenden provides before the surgery that lists every bit of information on the entire process, the day-by-day progress and changes in appearance AND every possible feeling or concern that may arise. The facilities at the Troy clinic are beautiful, the staff is very friendly and efficient. Cosmetic surgery is an stressful event, but having selected Dr Schenden as my surgeon took the stress and worries away. He is patient, does not rush his patients and addresses all your concerns. The surgery I had was a neck lift and fat transfer to diminish laugh lines. The surgery was non eventful and the follow visits have been great. Dr Schenden not only s a great surgeon but has incredible bedside manners. I am on my way to recovery, it has only been 2 1/5 weeks since my surgery and I am static with the great results!!!!!!!!
