My dermatologist prescribed Efudex, a self applied topical cream used for the treatment of superficial basal cell carcinoma. I was told to apply the Efudex to my forehead for 3-4 weeks. After 10 days of application I had few questions and concerns that I needed to discuss with my doctor concerning the treatment. Following is the chain of events: 1. On Tuesday morning I called the number shown on their website for the Troy office. I left a message asking that my doctor call me. I was told that I would be contacted by my doctor as soon as possible. There was no return call from my doctor. 2. Next I left a message in the "Contact us" section of their website asking to be called by my doctor. Again, there was no return call from my doctor. 3. Next I left a message for my doctor on "Patient Portal" which is a web based tool used by WSUPG to facilitate contact between a patient and their doctor. Again, no response. 4. Finally, on Friday morning, I went to the Troy office and was able to talk to the office manager. She was able to contact my doctor and put me on the line with her. After I described what was happening with my Efudex applicaton (bleeding), she told me to stop using the Efudex immediately. My doctor told me that she did not know that I was attempting to contact her. Obviously their communication processes are ineffective and need a lot of work. If you have an urgent need to talk to your doctor you need to show up in person at their office.

He thinks the Epley maneuver can't be performed properly without a therapist. This is not in line with two other ENTs I had seen, and reputable medical websites. Well I had another vertigo episode the next week and did as Dr. Gupta advised and that was a mistake. The Brandt-Daroff maneuver made me extremely sick for the entire day. I contacted the office regarding my experience and the office manager was a real peach to deal with. Normally I'd give one star for such treatment, but the hearing exam seemed legit.

I ended up having the balloon sinus surgery, healed quick and Dr. Gupta also corrected a couple abnormalities and here I am living a much better quality of life. Now we are working on my allergies and I am still very pleased with all of the care he has provided me. Words can't express how much better I feel, it's like living a new life. I never had to wait long in the waiting room, the staff are friendly and have a good flow of getting you taken care of and out the door without the annoying long process and hassle. His location is convenient on Woodward ave next to Art Van, You won't be disappointed with Dr. Gupta!

However, there is discomfort and tinnitus which I wanted to see if could be addressed. This is where the institute lost my confidence and recommendation. Their follow-up process is horrible. I was called a number of times by a automated message system to schedule, but it won't put you through to anyone - you have to login to their portal and schedule. Once I was able to hack through the scheduling nonsense, I was planned to see Dr. Hong in a specific location, and when I arrive the location was dark, and no one home. I'm 100% positive I planned the visit at this location, as it was a 10-minute drive for me vs 1-2 hours. I was specific about it. I was told this was not the case. Again - after dealing with their automated nonsense to talk to a human, many of their staff were rude, and un-empathetic. I was understandably irritated, and the staff doubled down. I just received a letter of refusal to treat, which is fine - as I wouldn't get paid to go back there but shows their real colors to just cut you off, and leave you deaf if you get irritated, they made you arrange time off work, have a terrible teleprompt system to contact, and told you the wrong location for your appointment.
