After trying multiple high-end cosmetic products, I asked Carol about which procedure would be most effective for my dark spots on both cheeks. She recommended IPL, which I have had done on my hands for dark spots, and it worked very well on my face after two treatments. I am continuing to treat my face with glycolic acid and I'm very happy with the results. I would not get any more procedures done at this center. I had a lower facelift, neck lift and upper eyelid blep. My eyes were fine. However, my pain was a 10 out of 10 for 4 days after surgery. They prescribed they lowest does of Narco, the generic form, and dosed it 1 evry 4-6 hours. It did nothing so I called my doctor and he told me I could take two at night, which provided relief for 3 hours but I could not sleep due to the pain. This happened every night and I also had bad pain during the day. On the weekend, I called twice to the on-call doctor, explaining my pain and how the drugs were not working. He prescribed 10 more of the same med and dose. When I called in the next day because I could only take 1 Narco (which is Tylenol plus hydrocodene) due to him only prescribing 10, he added Robaxin 500 mcg every 8 hours to take in addition to the Narco, Still, I was in pain. They insinuated that I was going to get addicted to the narcotic and I told them that I never take pain meds except when I have surgery. They made me feel bad about calling them and I don't even think they believed me. I went into the office on the following Monday so they could check for a hematoma. I did not have one but still was experiencing alot of pain. They prescribed Ultram at that point. Patients should not have to suffer after major surgery. It is their job as doctors to manage our pain. They prescribe the cheapest generic drugs that don't work. I hope this helps when selecting a place to get surgery. read more

I was referred to Dr. Miguel from my ENT. And this was my first surgery of any kind so I was nervous going into it. However Dr. Miguel and his staff made me feel comfortable every step of the way. The whole process from the first initial appointment all the way until surgery went fairly smooth. There was only one hiccup with scheduling of the appointment however the nurse was able to fix the problem and within once it was brought to her attention. I had high expectations for this place. But over the past year this spa has really lost its touch and lack of professionalism. Very hard to get a hold of, the front desk is. They also have a tendency to be extremely rude. After multiple complaints they have been better at getting a hold of. You are literally in and out, rushed appointments. A 45-minute appointment should not be knocked out in 15-mins or less. Expensive spa and you are not getting your bang for the buck. In fact, their prices just went up. I believe there are other spa's in the area that will do a better job for a more reasonable price. If you do a good job, I don't mind the price, but the prices are not worth it here, especially when you have to go elsewhere to get the job done right. There is not much care for what you look like. The facial I had was damaging/scarring and the filler/Botox I had was not aesthetically correct for my facial frame. read more

Classy....that's how I would describe this place. I come here every 6 weeks for facials. Alyssa is my esthetician and she is the BEST! I cannot rave enough about her. I love my facials! Have received other services too from Alyssa and she's really good. I have not tried the hair salon. This is always a doctors office too! The place is beautiful and clean. The entire staff is very friendly and so respectful of your time. They offer many services - plastic surgery and all of the other treatments like Botox etc. Then there is the hair salon and then facials/massages area etc. Back to my facials - quiet, you cannot hear one thing going on outside. The room is professionally set up, all organic materials used and Alyssa has not once pushed me to buy anything. Also, if you buy a package of 6 upfront - reasonably priced! The bed she does my facials on - heated and just so comfortable. Alyssa honestly goes above and beyond and only does treatments that will be good for me. I appreciate that! I was referred to this place after receiving a referral from my dermatologist who said I had an abnormal mole that she suggested I have removed. I filled out some paperwork and sat with a guy for maybe 5 minutes max who said it would take 5 minutes to remove the mole. He then stated they'd provide me with a quote for the procedure. I have BCBS insurance and they said it would be around $500 to have it removed "cosmetically" and even more expensive through my insurance. I left concerned and upset. I decided to get a 2nd opinion so I want to another dermatologist who removed it FOR FREE with a $10 copay. Renaissance then proceeds to send me a bill for a $150.00 "new patient fee" despite providing literally no service at all. Total ripoff and waste of time. read more

Dr. Stefani is absolutely wonderful. He performed plastic surgery on me and it's like he's some sort of wizard/magician because I look fabulous. He is professional, gives his honest opinion about what is the best procedure for your body, and has a wonderful bedside manner. He also makes sure That you have realistic expectations of what your results will be, and of what the recovery will be like. The nurses are also incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. The nurses at Beaumont where I had my procedures done told me that the Dr. Stefanis patients that they care for at the hospital are always happy with their results- that made me feel even more confident that I chose the right surgeon. The only negative thing I could say is that they need more front desk help because the lady working at the front desk is often not at the desk or available to answer the phone. However, given these covid times l, I have to give that a bit of leeway in case it is hard to find employees right now. Also, it should be noted that I've never used any spa services, so this review is strictly for the doctors office side of the business and specifically for Dr. Stefani and the nurses who work with him. I've been going to spa renaissance for a few years now. This spa is a little on the high end side, but it's worth it! The staff is so friendly, they greet you as soon as you walk in, and they have a cappuccino machine in the waiting room. I haven't used all their services yet, I mainly go for Botox injections and I've been going by Maureen! Maureen is amazing, she's an RN, she's AMAZING! I only trust her with any of my cosmetic procedures, she is so professional and honest and makes you feel so comfortable! She only works Tuesday's and Thursday's and that's the only irritating part but I can't imagine going anywhere else for Botox. MAUREEN IS THE BEST! read more

I have been going here for years. I have to say that it has gone down hill. The staff is extremely rude and not friendly! How can you have people at the desk to greet people but they are so rude? Also this time around I got a full syringe and the right side of my face doesn't match the left. Also got my lips done and it doesn't even look like I did. I work very hard for my money and now I feel like I wasted my money. I sent a email to the spa about it a couple weeks later (because you are suppose to give it a couple weeks) but no one reached out to me or tried to make it right! I don't have the money to fix the right side of my face or my lips so thank you for responding and making this experience a great one. My review pertains to Dr. Stefani and the permanent make-up artist, "Mrs. Perm". First, for Dr. Stefani, I came in for a consultation primarily regarding the increasing sagginess under my chin attributed to aging, fat, and my DNA. I am in my late 30s, with a BMI of 23.4. This is the third plastic surgeon I have consulted and completely out of line with anything I have ever heard. Dr. Stefani said I needed a FACELIFT AND fat grafting, for a total cost of $12,300!! The two previous doctors quoted $1,800 and $2,500 for surgery commensurate with the amount of time it will take to help my chin. I do admire Dr. Stefani's vision for a one-stop "shopping makeover," in a building with his picture in color lit up on his own billboard with his name, etc. He would be a great politician or real estate developer. because I don't feel he truly cares about bringing out the best in people through plastic surgery. His own face looked robotic and vacuous with a contorted smile. My whole experience with Dr. Stefani at Renaissance Spa was ghoulish, outlandish, and wholly out of line with the professional medical opinions of his peers. .... 2) As far as the permanent makeup person, "Mrs. Perm," she was not as educated about permanent makeup on lips. Two others artists told me permanent lipstick and lipliner can be used to correct asymmetries and advised against filler prior to the permanent makeup procedure. On the contrary, Mrs. "Perm," told me to get filler first, thereby obscuring my natural shape from which to work with. Not only did she seem uninformed and lacking skills regarding lining lips and filling with color. I thought she had a big ego supported by something I have yet to discover. Dr. William Stefani, Renaissance Plastic Surgery in Troy, MI, breast augmentation. Post augmentation, my right breast was about 1" higher than the left breast. My right breast was hanging off the implant, not positioned correctly. He wanted to charge me for a revision of his own work, and his office staff was borderline rude that I came back twice for a consult about the revision, as if I am inconveniencing them. I had the implants removed recently by a very reputable doctor. Please beware of this doctor. They will take your money but do not care about your well being. read more

I would personally not schedule any future appointments there, nor would I recommend anyone else after my unpleasant experience. I am beyond disappointed with everything from the results, service, and money I have wasted there. My esthetician, Rada, was nice. However, she guaranteed results that did not happen. I spent an outrageous amount of money there, and my skin looks exactly the same. I am very well aware that skin takes time to heal, but I should have seen at least a small difference after so 2 months and $500 later. I am so disappointed. I live nearby and was hoping to have found a nice spa that I could trust. From my first visit to my last, I felt A LOT of pressure to purchase their products. It made me very uncomfortable. Rada insisted to schedule peel after peel promising it would do this and that, and yet I have not seen the least bit of difference. My skin is something I will gladly splurge on, but I did not see any sort of result! Even cashing out was uncomfortable. On my second visit, I tried using a coupon that was available online from completing a survey but Alyssa, the woman who was cashing me out , said she could not accept it because I needed to print it out. After explaining I just filled it out from my phone and I had the coupon on my phone, she insisted she needed a hard copy. Absolutely ridiculous. After becoming dissatisfied with my results, I pleasantly went to visit the spa to speak to someone. Rada was not in that day. I spoke to one of the receptionists, and she was super nice and understanding. Alyssa came by to help, and was rude and extremely unhelpful. Basically the only thing she told me she could do was to set up a consult for me to speak with Rada, although I told her I do not care who I see. I wanted to know what the manager or someone with authority could do for me and although that was not what I wanted to do, I complied to wait for a consultation w Rada. Finally, I had a consultation with Rada several days later. I expressed I was disappointed and had not seen any results. She tried to convince me that there had been a result. She even wanted to do another peel for me and sell me products. Obviously, at this point I had already spent so much money with little to no results. Why on earth would I schedule another peel with her when I do not trust her nor have I seen any sort of difference?! All she cared about was selling me products and scheduling another useless peel. She was not understanding that I was not happy, nor did she care. She is only concerned with ripping me off. She took a picture of me from her Ipad and compared it with the one taken before I had any sort of procedure done. The angle of which she took my "after" picture was completely different than the before picture. Obviously, the two pictures are not comparable. And the fact that she purposely took the picture from a different angle only confirms my point that there had not been any kind of result. At that point, I knew I would never visit this spa again, and there was no point in explaining this to Rada. Even after all of this, I gave the spa one more chance to redeem themselves by speaking directly to the owner, Patricia Lafrance. She suggested that I change my pillow case and spend more money on treatments and products for 6 months to see results. I am at a loss of words to truly describe how displeased I am with this place. I had a promotional services credit so I figured I could try their manicure. I had a girl who just started there and she was nice but not exactly professional. The thing I remember most was that she kept checking her phone to make sure she was "on time" which is simply ridiculous. Perhaps I picked a polish that was not the best (opi glitter) but I wasnt really pleased with the application and then the next day it was already chipping. By the end of the week my nails were a total mess so I had to remove it. Normally polish lasts about 2 weeks for me. Needless to say I wouldnt recommend this salon nor would I return. read more

I had the pleasure of going to Christine to get my hair done for a wedding. It was during a horrible snowstorm. Christine made it to the salon, on time, and I appreciated how wonderful she made me feel that day! I got so many compliments on my hair and on the makeup as well! I felt so confident and good when I left. Words could never express my sincere appreciation for what she did for me and how above and beyond she went for me that day. Because of the storm I was unable to make it to my next appt., which was to get my make up done, and Christine made sure I could have it done by getting another employee to put my make up on. Because of the time restraint they both worked on me at the same time!!! This was my first time going to Christine and because of the incredible service I received I will most certainly go back. I was amazed at how far above and beyond she went that day for someone who wasn't even an established client. Dr. Stefani performed a miracle on my breast concern reconstruction! I came to Dr Stefani after my original plastic surgeon failed at reconstructing my breasts after my double mastectomy. My primal doctor had a total of 6 surgeries, each side was cut open 3 times with bad scar tissue, they were over a cup size different and deformed. Dr. Stefani performed a miracle in only 2 surgeries!!! My breasts are now even, they are soft, and they look pretty natural...my self confidence has been fully restored. I'm 40 years old and before Dr. Stefani I thought I was ruined for life, I was depressed and very self conscious of wearing a bathing suit or a tight shirt because of the size difference. Renaissance also has a salon and spa that is phenomenal! Kendra does my hair and she is just amazing. She used Kemon color on me and I LOVED it. So pretty and no irritation or weird smell... plus she styled it to perfection. Went back for a hair cut and super impressed again. She has so much knowledge and personality and it's so fun sitting in her chair! It's so nice when your stylist actually takes the time to show you how to style at home so you can look fresh from the salon everyday. They use all amazing products (moroccan oil, eufora, glominerals) and the salon is so beautiful. No snootiness or attitudes here which is very rare for such a beautiful upscale salon in this area. Well I was brought here by my very dear friend for a mani and pedi! Let me just say I enjoyed my services sooo much! This is my NEW go to place when I'm in town! The woman Afroditi and Tina DO AMAZING WORK!!! I highly recommend them 100% the atmosphere is very tranquil and soothing to the soul! It's clean to the point you could eat off the floor! I enjoy that they have a very spacious parking lot and has a great front desk staff!!!! I did check out the product selection- it was well organized and many great lines to choose from! My only thing I didn't like was you can not tip on a credit card- which I completely understand BUT they should have a ATM for tip- but other than this small little speed bump- I will defiantly be back and will recommend this place to everyone I know! I can't believe the bad reviews here; I have never had a bad experience. I started coming when my stylist Christine moved here, because she is so good with my hair. I find the atmosphere welcoming and relaxing, which is important to me. I can talk or read as I want to, and I never feel rushed. I like that Christine can use non-foul smelling color and a natural sugar wax if I need it. I have not had a massage here, but have been in the treatment area, which is lovely. When I started going a couple of years ago, they didn't seem to have steady nail technicians; but this last year I believe an established nail practice joined and they always seem busy with regular clients. read more

My favorite place to get my nails done by far. My friends always ask me to get meni/pedis with them and every time I do, I end up hating everything and having Tina fix them for me. I will drive an hour to have my manicure and pedicure by these wonderful nail techs. All of them are good from Afroditi, to Tina and Trish. I've had my nails done by all 3 and never ever have been disappointed. One time my polish chipped on a few fingers a couple days after I got them done they insisted to fix them and not use that color that I had the problem with. Now that's what I call customer service. These days it's hard to find good work and good service. I'm all about customer service and quality work. I highly recommend this spa. read more

They assigned me to a girl named Amanda Jarbo for both hair and nails. She was excellent with both hair and nails! And it was nice to have the same person work on me! She was very helpful in choosing what the best style would be to fit me and she was very creative with my nails and had all sorts of fun designs! She was very professional and clean. NEVER again will I go here. I got a lip and eyebrow wax here yesterday and my skin is completely burned off under my right eyebrow. When the lady pulled the paper over the wax off she realized it was a different kind of wax (the kind that hardens and you just pull off with no paper needed). I should have gotten up right then...how do you not even know the kind of wax you're using?! But instead I stayed. She then waxed the area again. As she was waxing she was asking if I liked the results. I asked her to get a little more hair off and instead of only putting wax right under the brow she must have waxed the same area again for the third time because my eye was burning. I even told her so and she put more aloe on it. Now I understand people make mistakes so I was ready to just let it go, but I woke up this morning to the skin under my eyebrow in extreme pain. So I decided to call the spa and ask if they had something they could give me to put on it. Instead of offering, they let it be known that I could PURCHASE something and then had the nerve to say that it was probably just a side effect from the wax. If it was a side effect then why is neither my other brow or lip affected? I would have been happy if they would have just accepted responsibility for it and offered me some kind of relief cream for the area but instead they blamed it on my skin and wanted me to spend more money in their establishment to fix a problem they caused in the first place. UNREAL! I do NOT recommend this place and I will NEVER go back. read more

I received a gift for some services from this spa and was excited as I had driven past it many times and envisioned it to be a plush spa. The facility is nice, my massage was good however my manicure/pedicure was a waste of time and a lot of money. Maybe 2 hours after leaving my nails began to chip everywhere. Not just on the tips but the polish was chipping on the other end of my nail. My polish also went up and onto my cuticles, bit strange, think that is why it chipped on that side. My manicurist was very nice but also checked her phone constantly. I had to remove my polish on my hands the next morning it looked so bad. Also she didn't do anything to remove cuticles on the sides of my nail beds. Is that weird?? my hands don't look manicured at all! Honestly, she did what I do at home except my polish lasts more than a day. I also received a pedicure, again did not clean up cuticles, just pushed them back and something must be wrong with the top coat she uses because this morning what is left of my polish on my toes, turned purple! I went to the park with my kids for an hour, does topcoat change colors if you go outside?! The staff was pleasant but on a Saturday, I was the only person in the spa. Should say something. Any great salon will be packed on a weekend. A salon that charges these kind of prices should be very high end. The staff at the front desk should we dressed sharp, not in tight tshirts and yoga pants. Angel Nails on Woodward blows this mani/pedi out of the water and costs a lot less. Owners needs to invest some money and time in their spa. What a waste! read more

I was a first time customer to Christine, hair stylist and I had to write a review because I found the service and outcome of my hair phenomenal. I had an idea of what kind of cut I wanted and Christine was very receptive. She also suggested other new ideas/cut styles that she thought may suit my hair which turned out great! I had highlights done, which were used with organic yogurt I believe. The organic feel was great leaving my hair healthier looking. The staff were all great and very courteous. For two years now I've entrusted my skin to Joanna. She has never let me down. For laser hair removal, facials, dermaplane, IPL & peels. She is highly trained, sweet & understanding of my skin issues. I send anyone I know to her & they are never disappointed. I also appreciate the monthly specials they run.
