Horrible! Horrible! Had to ha e my transmission replaced after 6 months of having it!!! They scam everyone I know that had been there!

We were far from home and had to have our car towed due to a breakdown. It needed a serpentine belt and a water pump. Everyone at Sonju was helpful, however they charged nearly $200/hr to repair which left us with a $1435 bill for a non -difficult repair!! The parts were around $200. We should have asked the tow truck driver to recommend a private shop and could have saved a lot of money! This seems like price-gouging to us. read more

Okay, this is going to be long, but I would encourage anyone thinking about making a purchase at Sonju Two Harbors to read it. This is more than rude, poor customer service even though they are very rude. This is more than price gouging, even though they will gouge you with a dull rusty blade while you are not looking. This is out right dishonest shady deals. Selling me something that they did not have. Attempting to jimmy-rig aftermarket parts together to pull off a scam. If you don't want to read all this just take my word for it and way away from Sonju. August 2020, I set out to purchase two modestly priced ATV's; something to ride with the kids. Well, currently inventory was exceptionally low at most dealers. August 13th: Financing was approved through our bank and all we had to do was go pick out what units we wanted. We wanted to find two new Polaris Sportsman 450 HO EPS. August 14th: We were having trouble finding exactly what we wanted but our local dealer, closest to home, had two units we were going to settle for. One was a 450 without EPS and the other was a 570 premium. As we were sitting in the car trying to decide to pull the trigger or not, we listened to a voicemail from a salesman at Sonju Two Harbors, Neal, who we spoke to the previous day, he said "two Sportsman 450 with EPS just became available". SO CLOSE - YET SO FAR We returned his call, we confirmed that he said he had exactly what we were looking for and we discussed price. I also explicitly asked him what his dealer fees were because after speaking to a dozen or so over the past couple days, I learned many of them will give you a "sale price" on the unit but have $1000 in dealer fees. He said the only costs were the selling price, taxes, our MN $68 registration fee, and a $99 doc fee. I said that is great, I am on my way, I will take them both PLUS a trailer, I should be there in about two hours. As soon as I got to Sonju, Neal met me outside, we walked to one of the units that was still out on the lot, he handed me the key and said, "take it out on the grass if you want to the other ATV is by the door, I'll meet you up there". LIAR LIAR I went inside. Neal and I discussed adding a couple accessories. I wanted to add winches and hand warmers to both. He said he was going to step away for a minute and draw up the quote. While he was gone, I price checked everything I asked for at retail. He came back and boasted how he was getting me a deal and they were able to get the price of everything way down and he was giving me the accessories at their cost. I get it, this is nothing new but adds to the frustration. The accessories were priced at $1009.00, retail on them was $655.94. Then I see an additional dealer fee on my quote of $125.00. I said Neal, I specifically asked you about the dealer fees before I drove up here. I was annoyed and started to walk out. He quickly apologized for his mistake, said he would make up for it in the price and repeated he made an honest mistake. Now, had he told me from the get-go about this addition fee, I still would have gone up there to buy these, but it was the fact that I asked, and he lied that had me upset. Upfront, pricing should be the industry norm. We went back and forth about prices for a while, which I could write another essay about, but this is an unfortunate common thing in the industry. I will say one more thing about price though. Sonju charges an addition $109 fee for EVERY accessory installed. I called 4 dealerships after I learned this and not even one would charge a penny for installation if I bought 2 new units from them. CAME TO A DEAL - SO I THOUGHT After all the back and forth we came to an agreement. It was no killer deal for me, but the market was tights and I was getting what we set out for. Despite walking in with a pre-approval they agreed to a discount on the trailer if I would run financing through them. I signed their paper quote, sealing the deal and I took a picture quickly before Neal swiped it away. The accessories had to be ordered then installed so we agreed Neal would deliver the units to our home Wednesday or Thursday by 7pm. Because the units were not yet complete, I left a $1000.00 deposit on a debit card and paperwork was to be signed upon delivery. He said the rest could be done over the phone. Neal text me from a cell phone so I could contact him directly and text him pictures of an insurance card and driver's license. PANTS ON FIRE I went to leave and when I got in my car, I looked at the picture I had taken of the quote. It was then I noticed one of the unit description was "2020 Polaris Sportsman 450 HO" the other read "2020 Polaris Sportsman 450 EPS". EPS stands for electric power steering. I went right in and asked Neal about this. Power steering was the one upgrade we wanted.
