The main issue is that I have been paying for alarm monitoring services since 2023, which I have…read morenot received, and there is no record that my alarm was not operating as promised. This problem began after a 2023 system upgrade intended to ensure line monitoring. In early 2026, it was discovered that my monitoring had never been set up, a situation multiple representatives described as unprecedented. I have had alarm systems for over 35 years, and before 2022, Protection One provided my service. In April 2026, a technician visited. It was found that, despite payment, the equipment had not been installed, and the required parts or services were now unavailable. The proposed solution was for me to spend $1500 to install smoke detectors so my system would function, which confused me. Two separate inquiries later confirmed my concerns. Based on that representation, I repeatedly reached out to ADT. I audited my account and determined that I have been paying for this monitoring the entire time since 2023. I reached out to ADT repeatedly after 3 broken promises and a supervisor promised to call me back, but it never happened. Today, 1 actually called me. I was ultimately transferred to account management. 1 hr 30 min later Account management acknowledged the issues and offered an upgrade. I insisted that the question of charges for services I did not receive, starting in 2023, be resolved first. They indicated that ADT could not refund the fraudulently billed amount, then attempted to upsell me. When I insisted this was illegal, the representative told me to listen and began yelling. I have 38 hours documented detailing these unresolved concerns and illegal activity with ADT. All of the above is well documented and confirmed by multiple phone calls. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. COMPETENT CUSTOMER SERVICE IS NON-EXISTENT. What kind of company tells you they cannot refund the money they acknowledged they stole from you?

We were with Northwest Security and Sound for home and small business for quite a few years. The technicians were always polite and friendly (shout out to technician Joel!). Other than billing error where they thought we owed on past bills until I sent proof of payment they were fine. Then a problem developed where the alarm would not set in our small space and NSS could not figure it out. The nature of our business is such that we absolutely cannot go without an alarm set but was told by Rick to just deactivate a zone (which would be great until someone breaks in through a door of that zone). Repeated trip charges for this same, seemingly basic problem prompted me to finally ask via email (can post if necessary) if there would be a charge to come yet again for the same problem and Rick freaked out and sent a certified letter saying they are dropping us? Seriously? That's how you treat a long time customer? And out of spite, I guess, he terminated service at our home as well. All for asking if there would be yet another trip charge for the same problem. Who wouldn't ask that question? They also couldn't figure out the cause of a repeated false alarm on a smoke detector and kept charging us for trip charges, alarm replacements, keypad replacement, and even a whole new panel and still couldn't get it resolved. Very disappointing to be treated this way. So far, so good with another local company.

I contacted Alee with HiTek Telecom to get a quote on a complete network job for my home. Not only do my spouse that I work from home, but I also do a lot of photography and video that I transfer back-and-forth on my network and into the cloud. I was tired of poor and drop connections with my consumer level Wi-Fi system. In addition, I wanted a local security camera system that I can control without relying on a cloud service. After receiving a quote and agreeing on the scope of work, I scheduled the installation. Alee came out on time on the date scheduled and we walked through the plan of installation and confirmed what all my needs were. Alee and his team worked through the day and completed the install job in an incredibly professional manner. The installation and the cable runs, and all of the final product was exactly as described. After the install, Alee walked me through downloading all of the software that I needed, how to access and navigate the system, how to navigate and operate the security cameras, and ensure that everything was working properly. To be sure, this was a relatively large install for a residential application. I wanted ethernet drops in every room of my house, a new professional grade network cabinet, in-ceiling WIFi network, and a new suite of security cameras. I couldn't have asked for a better end product. I am quite pleased with the attention to detail of the install and making sure everything was perfect, workmanlike, and care was taken in my home. Alee came back out to adjust a couple of things for me after the fact and install an additional camera. Again, he was on time on the scheduled day. The workmanship was just as good and the communication has been stellar throughout. I truly can't recommend HiTek and Alee enough. Top-notch product and top-notch service.
