I enjoyed the fact of not having to buy per scoop from a kid behind the counter that has skinny arms. If you get a little skinny kid with no muscle, he gives up before getting a full scoop. Here you pick the container and they fill it. That's the way ice cream buying should be. I like all the stuff that you could put in it although I did not partake of it. I got a waffle cone with coffee ice cream and double dark chocolate. Staff was friendly, store was clean. I read some of the other reviews and did not find that those problems existed. The store did not have a great smell for some reason, but it wasn't terribly bad either. I did not sit and eat my ice cream. We got it, got in the truck and headed down the road, enjoying the bovine excretion concoction.

However, every time I searched or asked about a place to try, Dairy Treet came up. The original location was not far from my hotel so I stopped just to try the ice cream and fries to see what all the hype was about. Well, I get it!! The ice cream had such an authentic milk flavor to it and was the perfect consistency and flavor, you can tell they've been serving it up exactly the same from day one. It was so good, in fact, I went back the very next day to try more! The steak fingers weren't the typical texture and fry you see on most, but felt more like a Salisbury steak (in a great way) and the gravy was the star of the show. Top off the food with a vibe that sets you right back to the 50's with the lovely architecture and tunes playing while you wait/eat - Dairy Treet is a treat for sure! This location just lost a loyal customer over a d*mn drink... I want to resolve this somehow without making matters worse but I needed to talk with someone that can help me, because of course no one there would hear me out or engage in a polite matter with me.. probably no longer be visit this location ever again, terrible experience.

Ordered a Freddy's original with lettuce & tomato (must ask for it otherwise only comes with pickles, onions & mustard). NO cheese please due to my dietary restrictions. My husband ordered the Prime steak burger, comes with grilled onions & mushrooms and he added grilled jalapeños. The service was quick and friendly. Well, my burger had cheese and I didn't realize until it was too late, like more than several bites in. Oh well too late. It was really good with the lettuce & tomato I will order again this way. Without cheese of course. My husband said the grilled onions on his burger were bitter, and there might have been two grilled jalapeño slices on his burger. It was also a little on the salty side. French fries were cooked perfectly. Love the shoe string fries next time I'll get a larger size order of fries. Total cost for two burger meal deals with one mini custard was $34.00.
