Please stop serving expired lettuce to your customers. I went in for a salad this week and that was a big mistake. I wanted to go back and show you what you served me and ask for my money back but I was short on time. I ordered the chicken cobb salad and the salad was slimy and definitely not fresh anymore. Schlotzsky's is so underrated. Food is always good, staff are always polite, and the amount of food for the price is a good value. Sometimes I'll order extra with promos so I have lunch at work the next day and it's still good. I usually do drive through or order online. read more

I ordered the sandwich online as we were coming into Victoria. it was all ok until my husband went in to pick it up... he went to the online pickup counter and an employee told him that he needed to move over to the other line ( 10+ people ) and that he couldn't pick his order up at that particular counter. My husband had a discussion with her...." that's the reason of that counter & the online order process" so she finally went & found our order. The young girl at the window with brown hair and eyes is rude. She will just stare with her mouth open looking annoyed to be at her job. Literally. And I mean that word in the dictionary definition way, not the hyperbolic way it is used today. Literally 6 out of the 7 times I have been here in the last year they have gotten my order wrong. Why do I keep going you ask? It's not really my choice. It's what my mom loves for some reason so if I want to eat I have to go along with it. I mean a sandwich is a sandwich. It's fine for what it is. I'm not a complainer in general (as you can tell by my not arguing with my mother over her choice of restaurant where I know there is an 86% chance I will be served something that revolts me). I get that mistakes happen. I'm polite. Not a "can I speak to your manager" type of person. But I know what I don't like. I don't like mayonnaise. No. I hate mayonnaise. So you can imagine my disgust at finding mayonnaise in my sandwich a half dozen times. And then the frustration of going back in line and waiting. And twice on the return of my incorrectly made sandwich they got it wrong again. Like. I wrote it down to be sure they got the gist. No mayo. No tomato. No special sauce. They get 2 stars because they are actually very polite and apologetic. And the sourdough is pretty good. Cookies are great as well. Edit: I was writing this review as my mom drove to take back my mayo sandwich. When she came back it didn't have mayo! ... but it also didn't have black olives, despite her not asking them to remove them. So if we include the returns we are now up to 9 wrong orders in 7 visits. Love the 'new' location (it's been here awhile, but for locals, it's still the new Schlotzsky's) - it's clean and usually quiet. The food is great. It takes a little time to get your order out, but we don't mind - even the kids are cool with it, because the food is worth the wait. One of our favorite non-fast-food fast food joints! read more

It has been years since I was back in Texas. I remember when Schlotzsky's first came to Victoria. I was in Jr. High. Back then all they had basically were the Originals, small, medium or large. Large seems to have disappeared but, the Original is still on tap and still as awesome as I remember it. If you have not ever been, you need to go. The store is very clean and easy to navigate. I will say the parking lot is a bit of a mess. Very small and could be a little tough at lunch. But worth stopping in. read more

Last week I ate at Schlotzky's for the first time in more than ten years, and wow have things changed. Although the place is a bit more expensive than most fast food and sandwich stops, the quality is definitely better. When I went I ordered the pick two combo (I got the cranberry pecan salad and California chicken flatbread). The flatbread sandwich got cold fast, but it was very good. The salad was delicious and tasted as good as something you would get from a sit down establishment. The reason why I'm only giving this place a three star rating instead of four is because of the price. Even considering the high quality nature of the food I got, the amount I paid is just not enough to warrant both that and the relatively small portions I received. read more

I had a late lunch here when in town on business. Had the half and half where u can choose half a sandwich and half a salad (for me it was the pecan apple salad and the pastrami sandwich). Can't say I was a fan. The chicken in the salad was so tough it broke my fork as I was trying to cut it! Of course, it was a plastic fork. The meat in the sandwich was so dry and there was not even enough dressing on the bread to make it easy to swallow. The staff was so unprofessional. I've been eating at the Victoria Schlotsky's since we had open campus at the high school back in the late 70's. Even though their food has changed somewhat and the location with it, the sandwiches are still as good as the old days. Still, I would like to see the return of the large cheese sandwich (their large doubles for what they called a medium back in the day). I used to love Schlotzsky's. Not so much now. When you pay that much money for a sandwich would it be too much to ask for them to get at least one of the sandwiches in the order right...just one. Can you pay extra to get them to do their job. When quality of the product is so bad that you end up throwing the expensive mess in the trash...why go back? Love this place! Love the franchise! Love the upscale fast food food! Called into the Victoria location because I was in a hurry, they said about 10 minutes it would be ready... I got there 3 minutes later and they had it waiting for me :-) I get the Turkey original small and sub mustard for the mayo. My mouth is watering while I type this. I also love how BIG their large drink is. I always get an unsweet tea and it will last me all day. Thanks Schlotzksy's I will come back again and again. Food is average, not horrible or anything. I just really wish they could have a light up menu for customers at the drive thru at night.

Love the place! Been going here for years. Foods great and oh my god! there fresh cookies are very good. I go twice a week sometimes 3 depending on mood. I basically call in a order before I leave my house and food is ready when I get there roughly 5-10 minutes depending on Traffic. Much better than Subway. Got a strong sense of smell and subway makes me want to vomit but not here you can smell the food is fresh. Recommended read more

The food is good. Exactly what you expect from the chain. BUT the staff is terrible. I walked in when no one else was in line. I waited for someone to come up front to the register. No one did. The one making sandwiches looked at me a few times and did not say a word or make any effort to get someone to the register. Finally I asked that girl if someone was going to take my order. I like the food at Schlotzky's, but this location is out of basic ingredients almost every time I come here.

I needed food for a group of 20 on Monday. I looked up their menu online to have an idea of what I needed to feed the group. I settled on a large party tray, 2 different salads & 2 travelers of tea. I called the Victoria store to place the order instead of doing so online. The woman who answered said the party trays were no longer available & that they now came in boxes. No big deal, right? I asked how many the box served.she couldn't tell me. For $79 she could only tell me they came with 5 varieties of small sandwiches cut in half. She told me to look online (I already had) & she bet I could find it there. She said it was from Corporate so she didn't know why the online info was wrong. I wanted the people I was feeding to feel satisfied, so I went ahead & ordered 2 boxes at $79, 2 salads at $34.99 & 2 unsweetened teas to be picked up on Monday between 10:30am & 11. I got to their restaurant at 11:15 to be greeted by a girl who didn't seem to want to be there. I asked to add 20 bags of chips to the order & a large drink. No big deal. A line starts to form & she forgets about me & the large (over $300) order I was there to pick up. No one offered to help me take it to the car & I had to ask several times for her to hand me MY order from behind the counter. This location is terrible with their customer service. No one seemed to care about their services or whether or not you were satisfied. I had a large order in Bastrop, Tx & that store was AMAZING! The owner even called after to make sure I was satisfied with the food & service. I don't believe the owner of the Victoria store cares about their customers bc of the size of the city. People will go anyway bc of the limited amount of restaurants in the area. It's a shame. read more
