Delicious food, especially the chicken salad on garlic butter toasted bread! Excellent customer service and a great history. If you're got the time, ask the staff!

While the service was wonderful, the ladies who took my order and gave it to me, I had it to-go, the food was definitely lacking. I ordered the brown bag lunch 1 with the "muffuletta" and I say that in quotes because that was a huge stretch. It was deli meats, with little to no dressing of any kind i.e. Mayo, mustard, oil/vinegar etc. to be found, and chopped canned black and green olives. This was all on a very chewy sub roll that had very little flavor. It was one of the saddest sandwiches I ever had. Thankfully the lunch came with a salad and brownie which were the only saving grace of the whole meal. I really hope this was a one off and the other sandwhiches are better.

    Special of the day!!! Awesome!!!

Well, service was great!!! Everyone was so polite!!! As I was looking at the menu, they had mentioned the special of the day and everything looked so appealing!!! So I had decided why not. The meal was great. This place is certainly a hidden treasure. They are only open for lunch 11 to 2. I've been in Victoria several times before and never thought to try this place out. I will certainly be back!!! I even got a iced mocha coffee to go!!!

Based on YELP reviews and much in need of a decent meal...I stopped here for lunch today. Ordered the chicken salad melt (1/2 sandwich) and the broccoli soup. Let me say this...my sandwich/soup combo was more than delicious and it kept me going for most of the day! Olga was my server and she was very friendly and attentive. I've had a couple stressful weeks and it was nice to wander into a gem of a place like this one. I will certainly return for another stick to your ribs soup and sandwich combo!

We had an excellent lunch here. The atmosphere was interesting, service was prompt and friendly. I had the Dutch lunch. It had a vinegar cole slaw that was delicious. It also had an excellent potato salad. Comes with choice of bread and the marbled rye was wonderful. My dining partner had the muffaletta. Not a traditional style at all but very tasty. Iced tea tastes fresh and the bathrooms were clean. Olga, our waitress, was friendly and helpful. We walked around inside looking at the memorabilia and one employee stopped and gave us a lot of very interesting info about what we were seeing. Definitely worth a visit.

Garden salad with Chicken Salad and Broccoli Cheese Soup Combo.....DELISH!!

I was told by locals you have not been to Victoria, TX if you haven't stopped by Cimarron Express…read moreto pick up snacks. According to locals they have amazing fresher baked kolaches that sell out quickly. When entering the store you immediate see there is so many baked goods from cakes, pies, cheese cakes, all sorts of snacks like cookies, crackers, rice crispy, and so so soooo soooo much more! Everything is in clear containers ready to grab pay and go. There were so many variety of cookies in there. The cheese cakes and cakes they offer in the display refrig looked divine! Unfortunately because we came there around 3:30pm there was no kolaches to try but there was plenty of sweets and snacks to get. Homemade trail mixes included! I got the fire crackers, thumbprint cookies, and rice crispy. The crackers are spicy but it is super delicous and honestly addicting to eat! The season is very unique! The rice crispy seems a little stale and not as crispy as I like. The thumbprint cookies are favorite of our family. I tried one for the first time and must say the texture is really unique for a cookie. I liked it but the frost is a bit sugary for my taste. Would I come back? Yes! Hopefully during a time when they have kolaches so I can see if what the locals recommendation is true about these amazing kolaches in this hidden gem store.

I drive in from Houston at Christmas for the iced cookies. My adult kids still love them. The…read morebakery is always so good.
