Great smash burger like the special deal not liking the construction to get to place but the food is worth it

I used to absolutely love this Sonic. I remember coming here as a kid, and it has always been one of those places that brought back good memories. As an adult, I used to love stopping by after work for a late-night snack -- a milkshake, a cherry limeade Route 44, or my favorite, the pretzel bites. Unfortunately, the last few times I've come here, the experience has been really frustrating. Tonight was honestly the final straw. I arrived around 10:00-10:15 PM and ended up sitting in my car until after 11:00. I pressed the red button and spoke with someone to place my order, but then there was no response. I eventually went online while sitting in the drive-in, scanned the QR code, and placed my order through the app. It said my order would be on its way in about five minutes. Another 10 minutes went by, so I pressed the red button again. I was told they would bring it right out, but I still waited another 10 minutes. When I finally received my food, once again my sauce was missing. I had ordered and paid for sauce, and I ended up waiting another 13 minutes just for the sauce. While I was waiting, I ate some of my fries in the car, and honestly, they tasted like they were a day old. They were really hard, stale, and almost burnt. It reminded me of one of those Facebook games where you're trying to get an order out on time and everything goes wrong -- except I wish I were joking. The burger was okay, but the fries left such a bad taste in my mouth. I honestly think I might not have noticed the fries as much if I'd had my sauce when I was supposed to. And this isn't the first time. The last time I came, I also paid for sauce that wasn't included in my bag. When you try to communicate with customer service, it doesn't really feel like anyone is listening or engaging with you. I understand that I'm coming in late at night, but late-night service is part of the hours you choose to operate. I don't expect perfection, but I do expect reasonable communication, accurate orders, and food that is fresh. The ambiance just isn't what it used to be either. This used to feel like a fun, nostalgic place to grab a late-night snack. Now, unfortunately, I leave frustrated almost every time. I hate leaving reviews like this because I genuinely used to love this place. I still come back occasionally because I really do love the limeades, but lately I find myself leaving in a bad mood and wondering why I keep coming back. I really hope things improve because I would love to enjoy this Sonic the way I used to. read more

I've come here pretty regularly for the past couple years but I can't anymore because the quality has taken a nosedive. The staff is generally pretty nice but the cooking is sub par. Since they've gone to 24 hours the quality has plummeted to the point where I consistently get hamburger meat that tastes like it's been sitting a long time or it's been reheated. It tastes horrible. The footlong coney is undercooked often leaving the dog tough and room temperature when served. The tots I just attempted to eat were barely warm and tasted like crunchy grease. I literally just spit $25 into the bag they served me in and I'll no longer do business here. Wendy's will get all my business now. read more

I've been a fan of Sonic for some time. Over the last while, it seems they are falling into the 'less for more' category. Today's visit was for a sausage breakfast burrito. For the price, it was a disappointment. Well, even if less expensive it would have been pretty disappointing. Small in size, and not very full of anything. Top that off with blandness, and I'll pass on it in the future. Service was quick though. On a different note.... I still absolutely love their cheese sticks and will always come here to buy them...unless they start cheaping out there too. read more

How hard is it to do your job? I hate starting out reviews like this, but quality and pride are lacking here. My husband and I had a simple order, 2 Blasts, 2 corn dogs with catchup, and 2 pretzels with cheese sauce. We get handed our blasts, with one spoon, had to ask for another. Get our food and it was short one of the corn dogs. Finally, we get down the road and park to eat, but lo and behold, no ketchup or cheese sauce. Your job is to do it right the first time so do better! Make sure the order is complete and ready before you hand it out. Im a lover of their vast menu of sweet treats, there is something for everyone, but the last few times I've been disappointed. I ordered a cookie dough blast with extra cookie dough, simple, and what I've received is just a cup of vanilla icecream with a scoop of cookie dough sprinkled on top. More like a sundae topping. Not entirely sure why a friend of the workers decided it would be a good idea to bring his motorcycle during the BUSIEST time (10pm) Almost every worker came out to say hi and to talk to the guy. We spent 45 minutes in the car stall right next to the guy with the bike and had to call the workers to let them know we haven't gotten our food. Somebody popped out the door to tell the dude talking to the bike guy that he needed to help us. Our food got delivered to us cold & milkshakes were warm. You can clearly tell our food had been sitting there for a while. Also part of our order was wrong. I have no problem telling somebody to do their job, especially when it's busy. These guys are WONDERFUL. Fast service, tasty food, and they always, ALWAYS make things right when things go wrong. The other day I had an online order, I mentioned that my drink was suppose to be with no ice, said that it was fine and the WONDERFUL man bringing me my food said he'd make it right, took my drink, then came back with a bigger size with no ice. I didn't wine. I didn't ask for a manager. Just the mere mention of a problem means he jumped to not only fix the problem, but upgrade me for the extremely minor inconvenience. unbelievably bad service. I sat at one of the drive up kiosks for 25 minutes for an order of chili cheese fries. The kiosk did not alert me that the card that I used didn't properly scan. I continued to wait, extremely rude employee came out with my order and handed me the wrong food. As she walked away, I tried to summon her back because she gave me the wrong food. She ignored me and went inside. I went inside and asked them to give me the correct food. Rather than members made about how their system is not working, and their screen is not working and a bunch of other excuses. I voiced my frustration. Six employees came and began to criticize me. One overweight, black person with blue hair, pointed her finger in my face and was rude. One Hispanic guy with an unkempt mustache began me as well. I went back to my car after the one woman told me I need to talk to Wade tomorrow if I have any concerns. I refuse to eat this food for fear that they spit in it. Usually enjoy visiting Sonic during road trips. This sonic is clean but the staff is not very friendly. We ordered 2 #10 chicken bites meals which would normally come with your choice of sauce. However the order taker did not even ask us if we wanted sauce instead they just marked our order as no sauce. Our order came out and we had no napkins. We called back to the order taker to ask for napkins and sauce and were told that they would have to charge us for the sauce even though we were not given the chance to order sauce at the initial order. The order taker then ignored us and instead of at least bringing napkins to us. We left and probably will not be coming back. read more

Drive through, ordered small fries and small onion rings just to see (and to hold me over until later). - Fries were small restaurant type but 'natural cut', not over cooked, good-very good. - The onion rings were a surprise; actual onion, not minced, a nice batter and cooked perfectly so that no bite pulled onion from the remaining piece . . . very good! Poorly managed, possibly due to worker shortage, but very confusing why the majority of the stations have furniture blocking them and signs up saying drive thru only. I have been ordering online before I arrive to try and save myself and the staff some time and stress but I doubt my food even starts until I get there as nothing happens arrived timely or at a correct temperature both cold food and warm drinks. We pulled up to the Sonic on Ruby at 6:30 on Monday evening. There were about 10 teenagers inside cleaning and about 6 cars in the stalls. The service was horrible! Ordered from doordash and order wrong. The doordash even asked twice at sonic cause bag was too small to have 2 burgers and fries in it. They said yes its in there. We got the order and it had one order of mozzarella sticks nothing else...which we did not order and the receipt sonic taped to bag said it had the few burgers and fries all listed. They need to check the order. The doordash person did nothing wrong it was 100% sonic mistake. Check your orders!
