We pulled into stall number 4 and I placed our order in the app for the special of buy one chili cheese foot long. They arrived in about 4 minutes from a very cheerful lady. They were hot and awesome ! I love these things. To me they have the best chili cheese dogs on earth. My friend even commented you ate the whole thing and you never do that. You know how when you go to Chick-fil-A and the service is amazing and they say "my pleasure" and thanks?.....ya, this isn't that. It's almost like they hold your ice cream for longer on purpose so your you'll anticipate more, then they've done you a favor by letting you have it. In all honesty, the product is good, but the service and attitudes are pretty awful. Very slow, expect 20 min or so in the drive through. They just hand you your food and shut the window, saying nothing. It's the fast food epitome of "we don't care". read more

My husband and I were craving an ice cream treat so off to Sonic! I had the Reese's peanut butter Sonic Blast. It's a cup of deliciousness with the soft vanilla ice cream blended with chopped pieces of Reese's peanut butter cup and topped with larger pieces of the candy. Great Sonic. We took the kids for half off ice cream day. We sat at the picnic tables in the middle. This Sonic has awesome updated and very user friendly service Windows. The bathrooms were very clean. The service was great. My kids were so impressed with the servers on roller skates delivering some great ice cream. read more

5/10/2020 I was an employee of this store (worked here for just under two years). I've worked carhop, drive thru, and fountain over those years. I put my two weeks notice in and left (I will not tell you the date I did this in order to keep myself anonymous). I would like to give insight to what has been going on in this store and maybe explain a few things. I want to clear the air as to why I couldn't provide customers with the service I wanted to. Hopefully this info will lay out the pros and cons of working at/receiving service at this location. When I started working at this location, all of the employees working with me were super awesome and I was great friends with everyone. Everyone was super accepting of me being new and all. However, as more of these great co-workers moved on to bigger (and hopefully better) things, more people came in. Some were good and some were bad. Months before I left, I would see people just sitting down on their phones, not even in the building to do their job, or just being lazy with their tasks (now, the store is filled with these people). Because of this, I had to pick up the slack left behind by these people. For example: -Lazy fountain person? make 50-70% of all ice cream in addition to all soft drinks/ slushes (basically do their job) -No/little switchboard backup? Take all orders (no help so it gets backed up), deal with all drive thru customers, handle all problems, etc. -Nothing is stocked? Literally spend the next 30 minutes juggling my job with something that should've been done by someone else hours ago -No managers or cooks in the building (all on "cigarette breaks")? Well all customers are going to have to wait even longer. -No one gives a F*&% about being sanitary? Be sanitary for them, and clean up after them. -There is so much more to list out btw. What I'm trying to say is this: these days, working at this particular location F%$#ing sucks! I basically had to do 3 jobs (Drive Thru, Switchboard, and Fountain/ Ice cream) for $8.25. And the raise from $7.25 to $8.25 took months of me pestering my boss to get (after over a year of working here). So I finally put my foot down and stopped putting up with all of that BS. That being said, I mean no disrespect to any of the people who work here (yes, even the lazies). I've never had an assistant manager who I disliked in any way and my boss was super understanding and nice. I just wanted to say all of this because I hate it when customers leave disappointed. I really tried my hardest at my job when I worked here, but it just wasn't enough because I had little help. There would be rushes where nobody would help me until I literally had nervous breakdowns. Some people just didn't give a sh*t about how their laziness affected me. I would give it my all every shift, but not everyone would give the same back. It got to a point where I could have anger issues, stress, etc. every single shift. And no job is worth compromising my mental health every day. read more

I'm mad as hell.. first get to the drive thru and no one even greeted us they just all the sudden blurted out .. what can I get you. Then I ordered a Oreo blast for almost $6 bucks and got to the window and she took my card and told me the price and that's it. Get my blast and it's 3/4 full and that's what my $6 got!!! so since this is normally my go to stop I guess I will have to go across the street to Freddys from now on. read more

If I could give a zero star rating I would. There was a girl named Adrian in the drive-through extremely rude. We ordered six drinks for my family, I simply asked for a cupholder and she was extremely rude saying 'we do not carry cupholders we have drink carriers' rude for no reason. read more

This is a message to anyone looking to work for this specific sonic restaurant at 30930 mill lane Spanish fort Alabama 36527 I was working at this sonic and I can say with the most confidence that I have ever had about anything that you should never even think of working here The hours are murder, i was working an average of 42-53 hours a week making less than minimum wage. (Sometimes without breaks) Now I know that that sounds like exaggeration and not true but unfortunately it happened I remember one instance that it was 1:00 pm and I was supposed to get off at 3:00 pm and I asked the manager if I could take a break for 30 minutes and come back at 1:30 to help prepare for happy hour at 2:00. Ok so what she told me was that I was going to go home early because we were over staffed at that time so don't take a break we will get you out of here soon. Literally another 2 hours go by and I'm still working without having had a break, I got there at 8:00 am that morning and now it was 3:30 pm the middle of happy hour, we are still over staffed and I still haven't had a break I told my fellow car hop that I could feel myself getting dehydrated and the manager still wouldn't let me take a break. Let me tell you just how she runs this store Everyone is hired on as part time help It doesn't matter how many hours you have be it 20-53 you are part time and get paid minimum wage, and by the way the carhops get paid 5.75 hr that is 2 whole dollars less than minimum wages for Alabama, now they did get tips but the tips weren't much It could range from 10-36 dollars a day on a good day and 6-10 dollars on a bad day. And at sonic there are 3 stations at the front of the store Carhop Fountain Drive through Each station has four individual stations built in When I worked there I was the opening car hop and I worked all three stations by my self from the hours of 8:00 am to 12:00 pm when the drive through worker got there and the fountain worker , (if we were lucky enough to have a designated fountain worker) wouldn't get there till 3:00 pm. And while we are on the subject of scheduling the women who runs this place doesn't know how a schedule works There was a time I was supposed to work drive through from 12:00 pm-7:00 pm and my replacement was scheduled to come in at 4:00 pm 3 hours before I was supposed to get off And the schedule was written in pencil so at any point the manager could change it and not tell you I got a call one morning that said I was supposed to come in that day and the schedule that I received said that I was off that day and when I got there the schedule had been erased and redone. Without my knowledge. And when I was supposed to work drive through I received no training of any kind I was told to stand in the window and go for it basically I had to ask other people who had worked drive through what the heck I was doing. And then there is the district manager ( and if you see this mister DM the employees at this sonic have named you the angry dwarf) lol The district manager who will not be named because I can't be bothered to remember it Will pop in any time for suppress visits and completely screw up your entire system that you have going. By, yelling at what ever you do Stopping you from working to ask you what your doing and why then Angrily tell you to get back to work And when something goes wrong ALL HELL BREAKS LOOSE The drive through worker messed up one time because the dm was distracting her and so the drive through got backed up and he then came and yelled at me to go take out drive through orders which I was perfectly ok with it wasn't like this was a rare occurrence. But he told me to swipe my card for it on the carhop side, so I told him that I was told not to swipe drive through on the carhop side well that only got the angry dwarf more pissed at me so i finally said fine and swiped for it on the carhop side well when in got over there someone else had taken it out and then I was responsible for the money that someone else had and it was just a big cluster fuck. Bottom line is working at this sonic isn't worth minimum wage And there isn't enough money in the world for me to want to go back. read more

We usually do the half off shakes in the summer but every time I went to the Spanish Fort sonic during the summer of 2017, there was way too much syrup/flavoring in my milkshake and it was undrinkable every single time. Today I went through for national cheeseburger day and both orders of onion rings were burnt black. Pretty unmissable and yet they serve there anyway! Unexcusable! read more

The Sonic in Spanish Fort is the worst! I give zero stars. I sat outside for 10 mins, while the employees made their own drinks and left well before closing. When I called, the manger said he didn't see any cars outside and turned off the lights. If the store hours say open until midnight, shouldn't you be open until at least 11:50? They are the biggest cheap skates. It never fails that they put very few toppings on things that require it. even when you request extra and pay for it. Any time I've ordered a blast or cream slushie the slush never taste like the flavor of choice, again too cheap to put flavoring in it, or when I order a m&m blast and I ask for extra m&ms and still get few than it should come with from the get go. No one at my job will go there because they are to skimpy with there products. read more

Absolutely terrible. I haven't been pleased the past 4 times I've gone to this sonic! Always forgetting things and not getting orders right. Ex. No straws, ranch dressing instead of honey mustard, fries instead of tots, no sandwich. My dad had to turn around and go back twice today and when he got home, the order still wasn't right.
