Went here on April 23rd 2022, and to all who are reading reviews, stay away from this location unless you want an upset stomach, diarrhea, poor service, unsanitary bathrooms (no t.p. forced to use paper towels for cleaning oneself) and food quality that is below any standard of safe food practices. Cooperate obviously is choosing to allow this to continue. This location needs the be shut down until it can be properly staffed, and trained! Until then DO NOT eat here!! Like another review stayed, you have been warned!!! !! read more

I think I've only been able to order food here once, and they didn't have ice cream to add to the cream slush. Another time, their power was out so they had to turn everyone away. The past few times I've gone, I've had to back out of the drive through because it takes 5-10 minutes a car. There were about five cars in front of me and I didn't have an hour to place an order at a FAST food place. read more

Three years later and it's even worse than last time. Waited in the drive through line for 45 minutes for two drinks. JFC someone please just bulldoze those place over read more

No proper mask usage, one employee had theirs below the nose and the other didn't even go that far, it was below his mouth on his chin. The one working the drive through had visibly dirty hands, and there is no plexiglass to protect customer in drive through from these massless workers. Definitely will not be back. read more

Was very hopeful. Looks very nice from outside. Went through drive through after a day of skiing at Monarch. There were 5 cars in front of us in the drive through. We waited 20+ min. In the drive through... At a fast food place. I guess this was our bad. Should have known to keep driving to the closest big city. What makes it worse... The drive through has a solid block ring on the outside so you can't leave. Trapped!!! read more

Britney was amazing she was on everything unlike everyone else in the store she is so amazing

Food was good and service was fast, dont know why the low ratings on here. Had slushes and burgers, all was good

Placed order at 4:30 for pick up at 4:45. Arrived at 4:42. Waited until 5:05 to call store and ask what's going on. They tell me they are about to bring it out, but are out of the fruit I wanted In my drinks. ?? So I improvise and reorder. Only to get 2 different drinks with no fruit that I was charged extra for and waited for 25 minutes watching multiple vehicles go through the drive thru. Ridiculous. read more

I have never had such bad service. It took them 10 minutes to understand what we were trying to order - 2 hamburgers, a cheeseburger, a pretzel twist, and 4 drinks. When it came out, all of our orders were slightly wrong. When I tried to ask for additional items, we were completely ignored and they turned the lights off. Someone next to us who had been waiting for 30 minutes finally banged on the door to get a manager. It looked like several employees were smoking in a car and not working at all. They close at 9, but they began ignoring every car that drove up at 8:30. Avoid this place like the plague if you actually want service. It's the worst place I've ever been to. read more

The only reason why i'm giving this place two stars is because the food was alright. I saw someone posted a review 30 mins before I got there about them not having onion rings , they did when I got there. However ... Our visit was the worst one ever. First off they only have signs on the front booths saying that they are currently closed . When we first got there we waited and pressed the button on one of the booths , after waiting about 10 -15 mins we decided to go through the drive thru. On our way to the drive thru we noticed the front booths said " Booths are currently closed . " Should've said something over the speaker , especially since we were right in the front of the pickup window for the food. We waited about 30 mins before finally getting to order our food ! So get this , After we finally had our food the line for the drive thru was so long that we couldn't get out . The exit was blocked by the people waiting to order ! I must say though , the green chili burger was delicious but if you don't like mustard , it's definitely not for you read more

This place is excellent if you have 3 hours to spare to wait for your food. They won't come to the intercom to let you know they're working on it either. I don't blame the employees. It seems as though they are understaffed. I have no idea how they get so much clientele. read more

Please don't patronize this restaurant and definitely don't work here if you live in Salida. My son worked here last summer and this summer. He had an accident in June where he slammed his head into a rack and had to go the Salida ER. This Sonic didn't fill out an incident report and now their corporate office won't acknowledge it either. We've called and sent multiple emails to several levels of their local management and no response. The hospital wants their money but this Sonic won't even call us back. The hospital bill isn't even that large relatively speaking but still about 70 hours of work at $15 per hour. What kind of business cheats kids out of money in a small mountain town where you can barely get anyone to work in the first place? read more

Expect to sit in line at least a half an hour. And then expect to not get your order right. And then expect your order to be cold and nasty. One star is too much they deserve zero Stars read more

Awful. Ordered a 5 strip dinner, strips were overcooked, tots undercooked, no onion ring or gravy (I used to work at sonic and at all the locations in my usual area they still come with those), and I specially asked for 2 honey mustard and one BBQ, didn't get either. This is the first review I've ever made on yelp to warn anyone how deceiving the wonderful exterior of this Sonic is. The inside is not the same read more

Glad to find a Sonic out here. Quick in and out for a soft drink.

Besides long wait times my order was wrong on multiple occasions. Which thus makes me go back in a 10 minute line to get it right . The park and dine in your car service makes no difference. read more

The worst sonic in the country. The drive thru window is a germaphobes worst nightmare. The window has caked on food that has spilled, it looks sticky and objectively gross. The service is unbelievably slow. Beside the ice cream blasts I have not had food that tasted good. The burgers are consistently over done. read more

We sat and waited 40 minutes for food today. I pressed the button a second time to check on my food and the lady was very rude and said it would be out eventually. It never came. Then they said they switched to drive thru only. So I waited in the drive thru line again. I gave up after another ten min. Will this sonic ever be run by someone who know what they are doing??? It's been so terrible for so many years!!! read more

This place on the inside is absolutely disgusting and filthy. We went through the drive thru which was apparently broken. The person at the window said oh well it's broken. Then about 3 of the workers were just standing in there eating and talking while people are lining up at the drive thru. No one bothering to tell them not to wait there. The inside was completely filth, trash all Over the floor, dirty floor, dirty counters. There is no way this place would pass an inspection. read more

This was the second chance for this Sonic and they failed both times the food was inedible. The first was last week a dry chicken classic with onion rings...tasted like the fry oil was old...nasty, nasty' nasty. Today it was a double bacon cheeseburger. The patties were like shoe soles and the bread stail. I shan't make this mistake ever again at sonic in Sslida/Ponca Springs! read more

Thirty minutes at the drive thru here is not uncommon. If there is more than one car in line you would save time by driving to an actual restaurant and getting food served to your table. I have to assume it is poor management or a cheap owner unwilling to pay for proper staffing. If you are in a hurry grab a snack at the gas station or Walmart instead. read more

Absolutely the worst and mismanaged fast food I have ever been too. We waited in the drive thru for 30 minutes because they are so slow and inefficient and to be told there ice cream machine was broke, I told them it would have been nice to put a sign out that lets people know instead of making people wait to find out when you order and then told extremely rude have a nice day. This place hires people that live in the office above the restaurant. The cook looks like he hasn't taken a shower in weeks. I am surprised the health department hasn't shut them down. I would have given them a 0 read more

Gross. Came here for drive through and food was undercooked and not made well. They poured a bunch of mustard on a partially raw undercooked burger that was supposed to have Mayo. They shorted us an order of fries and the tater tots were cold and stale a pale yellow color hadn't been cooked all the way and sitting out awhile like hours. When we brought back the nasty food for a refund we were yelled at and argued with by some guy with a moustache telling me that if I'm going to be difficult I don't need to come back. Lol and I said yes I won't be back for sure, then he yelled at me telling me to get out of here as I drove away it was totally uncalled for and he really lost his temper. Just because I didn't want to eat his food that seemingly came out of the trash and asked for a refund. Seriously if you care about your health avoid this place it's horrible and their drive through lights don't even work at night. Another scam restaurant franchise cutting corners to save a buck. read more

Nasty attitude after waiting 30 min in the drive through. Come to find out 1/2 the staff quit. This doesnt surprise me as I would quit if spoken to like that too. Will never visit this location again and will question all sonics from here on out. Clean up your management Sonic! read more

I had a drive thru order and it wasn't good it took about 5 minutes for somebody to finally answer and meals orders are off I asked for a burger with just lettuce and they added Mayo, pickles, and onions 1 star read more

If I could give this place a zero star rating I would. Overcharging is a norm here. They won't give happy hour prices if you order other drinks besides the ones on happy hour prices and then when you say something, they get snippy and rude. The wait is terrible usually and so many times we have got the wrong drinks. Sadly, we like the limeades, so we come back through hoping for better service, but consistency is also an issue. read more

Complete trash, they are rude super slow and don't even know how to properly make their own drinks, and it's drive through only.

Worst experience ever. Waited at stall for 10 min and didn't get a response. Several other cars took off sick of waiting. We tried the drive-thu, took literally 40 min to get to the window. Service was horrible and still got our order wrong! Place needs to hire more help, or have the kids smoking on the sidewalk to put out their cigs and get back to work. RIDICULOUS. I'd love to leave 0 star review. read more

Terrible service, slow, and rude!! Every time we've been here it has taken nearly 30 minutes to get our food.

You guys are unbelievable. You don't listen for shit. Honestly I hope this place gets shut down and they open up something else. Idk why the fuck I wait in a 30 min line to get my order fucked up but for some reason I'm always hopeful each time. LISTEN TO THE CUSTOMER. Even if it's busy. Slow the fuck down and take the time to listen. read more

There about 10 employees inside, 7 cars outside and I've been watching sonic employees people mess around for over 20 minutes while im waiting for my mom's ice cream on mothers day. Plus the order was wrong I asked for large! read more

Last night I came here sat in the drive thru for 40 minutes. Once I got up to the window we got 2/3 drinks the last drink took about another 10 minutes. Then we got our food with no recipe. Today thinking maybe I'd get some drinks again so I went to a stall this time. We cycled the call button 3 times and finally left. If you eat here have half your day open because the service sucks. read more

Don't go here unless you have time to waste. We pulled up to order and after 10 minutes no response so we go to the drive through and it takes over 30 minutes for the 2 cars in front of me to order and get their food. It took us another 30 minutes for milk shakes. By the time we got them they were almost completely melted. No apology for the slow service read more

Go here if you have 2 hours of spare time to wait. Terrible service. They didn't come back to the intercom to apologize. We waited as long as we could and ended up leaving. Seriously short staffed. You're better off going somewhere else. Srsly. read more

Waited 20 minutes for food. When they served those who came later we told them we had been waiting. They said there was no other order. No offer to make it right. We left. Pooooor management! read more

This Sonic has been a staple for a long time for good ice cream and fresh, good food. The wait has always been really long but it was worth the wait...until recently. I have stopped ordering Blasts there because there would be candy in the top 25% and the lower 75% would be pure ice cream. I tried a couple of times to order but the last 4 or 5 have been like this so no longer do I order this. I think they have a really hard time getting consistent help so some of it is going to be hit-or-miss so they get a little grace. The food is still good, I switched to shakes, and the wait is still long. I go a lot less frequently than I used to but i still go. read more
