We've been in town 4 months, visiting my mum. We love this sonic. Both our regular carhop employees have consistently been friendly. We downloaded the app. Food is typical Sonic food. My favorite is the hatch green chili burger and grape slushy. We try to visit weekly. Both employees are always so friendly and hard working, with a smile on their faces as walk up to the big pink truck....with our meals and drinks We look forward to seeing them both in December. read more

Shame my rating was already a 1, I like sonic, but man the service is just awful. I've been trying to be less peevish, but they had me waiting over an hour for 2 drinks and some cheddar peppers. I ordered. Checked in, waited. 20 minutes go by, I'm like "Eh, it's busy and I just got off of work so I've got nowhere to be" another 10 minutes and everyone has left, there's just me and 2 other cars. Another 10 minutes and i'm like "Alright, must've made some kind of mistake somewhere, all good. I'll call em to let them know I've been waiting here 40 minutes past when the app said it should be ready" I call, talk to the guy, he says they'll get it right out. I wait 20 more minutes, I'm thirsty asf. I call again. The guy asks what I ordered, I explain I put it in on the app and I'm still checked in to stall #24 (told them this the first time as well) and he wants me to describe my order, so I tell him I got a r44 water, a rootbeer float and some cheddar peppers. Girl comes out, clearly doesn't know where stall 24 is because she passes it and gives me a r44 rootbeer. Fun fact: not what I ordered. At this point I just straight up show her the order on my phone and she goes back, and brings me my order. And it was still wrong because I had addons I paid extra for on one of my drinks, but at that point, forget it. Close enough. read more

We order two things, food came out quickly. Thanked the server and she thrusted the card back so fast, was so rude very short. Then was completely nice to another customer? Where have manners gone. read more

Quick stop food. Ok but it works and not bad quality. The burgers are great and so are the hot dogs. Of course a frozen zone favorite is the real ic cream sonic blast all hand mixed shakes. And order through their app and save 1/2 off on shakes and drinks!! Also sonic is a green place since you park your vehicle turn off the engine order via the individual stand. Pay get your order eat or leave. It's the old original drive-in!!!! read more

The Prescott location has removed about two thirds of the stalls where you can order in your car. Today I waited five minutes before someone came on and said they'd be with me shortly. At the 10 minute mark I drove away, still without an order taken. They are unable to service customers even with the reduced capacity. I'm done going there. You should close if this is the best you can do. I'd rate the service as slightly less than nonexistent. read more

Yes, I was on lunch from work and I was hungry. The food is delicious. The smoothies are fantastic.

Now Sonic wants you to use your phone to order. They've removed the majority of the ordering panels, so you have to look out where you park. No thanks - shear idiocy! I don't have a phone with me most of the time, and even if I did I wouldn't install their app or anyone else's. I'll eat somewhere that makes it easy instead. read more

I have been to and have ordered from this location multiple times. When I first moved here in 2016, this place was great. In the past 2 to 3 years, it has become terrible - for instance, a few months ago, I tried ordering onion rings but they didn't have anyone on staff to deep fry them. Don't have a lit sign advertising onion rings if you are not going to serve them. Many times over the past 3 years, I have gone in to order a shake or blast and have been told that the ice cream machine is broke. This is not a good representation for one of the only places around that serves shakes. Instead, I made a trip to Baskin-Robbins and got a real ice cream shake - a little bit more expensive, but better than being disappointed by Sonic. read more

Severe staffing issues. If you only have 1 person working on a Saturday, you shouldn't be open. Or at the very least the app needs to reflect how long my order will actually take. I'm not waiting 30 minutes for fast food ??? read more

Just went there tonight and placed a mobile pick up order. My wife's meal was cold, the burger was part frozen. I was missing mozzarella sticks. Let alone it took them 15 minutes to bring out my food after I had already placed my pick up. It wasn't even that busy. read more

Went to sonic, placed my order, got home and the whole order was wrong. Went back and Adrian said he can't give a refund. Last time I'll be there. Horrible service!! read more

Went for food the other day for my kiddos, never again. It was most possibly the worst quality food I've ever seen at a fast food place. The hot dog was discolored, looked very wrong. There was no way my son was going to eat that. The chicken sandwich was hard and smushed. The popcorn chicken was old and burnt. I spent $30 on absolute garbage. This is the last time I ever go to a sonic. Sonic has been going down for awhile, this was the icing on the cake for me. No one is taking care of this company or loc, it will be closed within months. read more

Pretty much a soft drink is all I will get. Every time over the years that we have gone here to get a shake or blast and it's has been after dinner, we have been told that the shake machine is down for cleaning. EVERY TIME (being after 6/630 but not after 8. ( INCLUDING PRE COVID, so that not an excuse) If you are open until 9? serve till 9. open till 10 serve till 10. You are supposed to be famous for desserts for goodness sakes! Pay someone to stay to clean the machine. However i suspect the closing shift takes it upon themselves, wants to get out quick, and the owner/GM doesn't have a clue. Today i got a cheese burger. I don't normally buy fast food burgers... And I am going back to that ideology for sure. The one today had potential to be good if the bun wasn't dried out and hard. The burger couldn't even pretend to be warm. Not even close. Made in advance, then slapped on the dried bun with some very fresh and tasty veggies. Like i said it had potential. Fell down because of laziness. I will take a soft drink please. read more

Fabulous location for tasty food and friendly service! Surprised by some of these negative reviews, as that was NOT our experience at all. Ordering was prompt, accurate and food was out minutes later. We had two hungry toddlers and the kids meals with apple juice and tots were perfect! Cute little Batman spoon to go with it. Side not, Liz was super friendly! Wish I had cash to tip or that they left room on the Sonic check out for cards. She was funny, friendly, and full of energy. Even checked on us after dropping our food, thats some serious customer service for a drive through! Great job on your staff Sonic, we enjoyed our stop and our food very much! read more

Slow service for a fast food chain. The food was bland. The sonic burger double had no flavor I think they didnt prepare it properly since I've had in the past and was decent. The fries tasted like old burnt oil probably needing to be changed more frequent or were just old fries. We also got a chicken sandwich was also bland. read more

Second Saturday in a row with a 25 minute wait for your food on a Saturday at 2 pm. We didn't wait last Saturday but today we did. Got cold food no napkins, all ice no lemonade. Two employees working making the food and delivering the food. Where the F is the owner? his ass should be here working. This place needs to be closed down. The two girls working are stressed out. If you can't find people to work at your location get your ass in here to help!!!! Or close up shop! Ripping people off for cold food and slow service is BS!! read more

I ordered through Uber Eats and my order was cancelled with a reason. I called and inquired why there was no reason for the order on Uber Eats and i was told by Adrian that there wasn't a kitchen. He was rude with his tone and proceeded to manipulate the problem into me. "I'm sorry you feel that way" is not an appropriate way to address your customers when there is an issue. I will be contacting corporate and leaving a poor review as well. Terrible service. read more

Parked knowing what we wanted and tried to place an order. Watched others ride their bikes up and place orders. Food runner stood outside in her uniform hugging a patron for quite some time rather than working. Also thinking it's not sanitary even though the customer was wearing a mask. Went to Sonic and had the worst experience ever. I was shocked, appalled and dismayed. My server Kayden was the problem. He was rude and immature. I don't think he likes it there. The food was late and when we asked him to check our order to make sure it was correct, he blew a fuse. I now know why the food comes out late. Every time a employee complains about someone or something the entire inside stops and listens and joins in the ballyhoo, stopping any progress from that point forward. I know that for a fact because I opened the door to give him a tip and saw the way the operate there. He yelled at me that he didn't want the tip and to get the (F) out our he would call the police. I could not believe the way we went from zero to ten in attitude. It's no wonder the wait times are unreasonable, they don't care about the customer, it's all about them. I have noticed that the managers are always changing there. I understand it's hard to get good help but when the help you have is cussing at the customer,(no joke, he used the F bomb on me several times) your basically saying you do not want us to come back. No problem. I was telling my friends about my experience and they just laughed and said they never go there anymore because of the service. How very sad for the owner of Sonic to have a reputation like that. read more

Ugh. Sonic drive in?? Seriously need to train your employees better!!! I ordered food online from sonic.. Couldn't tell if it went through or not.. So I drove over to sonic on whipple....pressed the red button.. When they answered, I was like " I'm not sure if you're online system is working or not and I'd rather not be charged twice.. He asked for my name..i gave it to him... He then proceeds to tell me " unfortunately we have nothing to do with the online system.. " I asked if my order went through and he said to call the customer service number.. I said ok. But I'd still like to order food.. And proceeded to reorder everything I ordered online.. No response or anything.. So I said hello are you there?? Then I look and I see " press button to order.. ".. Umm I was just talking to him.. So I called instead because that menu board where I was at was barely holding on.. So someone answers and says May I help you?? And I explained I was in the bay number and I was trying to order food so the original guy got on the phone and told me to press the button.. So I did.. His response?? WHAT DO YOU WANT!!!! I said excuse me???what's with your attitude I'm just trying to order food?? He said ( And I quote word for word) " I was just on the GODDAMNED phone with you for FUCKS SAKE!! " I was shocked that their employees would shout that into their headsets... Everyone around me heard what that employee said too.. I drove away without another word.. Never again.. Needless to say they didn't get my money and yes I did call customer service... Burger king ended up with my money.. read more

6/26/21 late night After a long flight from Philadelphia and a long ride on the shuttle back to Prescott. My family and I were famished and needed a bite. I rolled into Sonic at 10:45 where a young lady took our order. The place didn't close til 11 pm. There were a bunch of teens hanging out front which made it seem it wasn't closing any time soon. At 11:05 the staff started looking out at my family one staff member at a time through the window. Although the board stated my order was in the " kitchen being worked on." I noticed they kept looking at us and talking amongst them selves when all of a sudden they turned ALL the light out and started cleaning for the evening at 11:07. Not one mention of my order and never turned to look in my direction again. REALLY!! At 11:20 all the lights went out. My family was hungry and cranky after being up for 20 hrs. That was rude, unprofessional and downright unnecessary!! Why even take my order if you had no intention of fulfilling it?? And a complete waste of my time!! If this is the standard by which your customer service is measured, well I won't be coming back! Will never service another Sonic PERIOD!! Shame on you!!!! We went to McDonald's where the service is consistent and the staff is reliable and courteous. read more

Went here for the first time at 8:00 am this morning. Ordered a Coney Chili dog and a drink. There were two other customers. At 8:13 the video board said that my food was being delivered by Rick. At 8:21 am, no food, no Rick. I had not seen one person exit the building. A very polite female had taken my order. I can see why the video board was advertising Help Wanted. This was the Sonic on Whipple. I left the establishment. read more

Because I've lived and worked right by this Sonic for years, I have visited this location a few hundred times. Literally. One thing has been extremely consistent. The car hops are personable and friendly. The place can get very busy at lunch and during their "Happy Hour." It they are full, wait times can be a little bit longer than a drive-thru fast foods. Otherwise, the speed is pretty good. I only had maybe 4 or 5 order mess ups in all those visits, which is very good. Service-wise I'll rate this location 5 STARS The problem I have with Sonic is that over the last couple of years they have raised their prices disproportionately more than other fast foods. They simply charge way too much for the quality of burger that they serve, and for the size of most of the food items I've tried. Their drink prices are about the highest to begin with. The multiple drink flavorings you can add and the combinations you can create has always made Sonic special, and made the drinks worth it. But now they now charge extra to add the flavor to their drinks. Their slushes, real ice cream floats, shakes, and Sundaes also set them apart, and fortunately they seem to be reasonably priced. Overall, we just don't go to Sonic for food these days. It's just not special enough--poor value for mediocre and unhealthy fare. We will stop in during afternoon's before 5PM for 1/2 price drinks or slushes, and late night for ice cream treats but that is about it. If they upped their food and value I'd go 4 STARS overall, but now they are just edging 3. read more

Speaker did not work. Ordered anyway...got it wrong...then comped an attitude. Said "We've been having problems, there's nothing I can do about it". Somehow that was my fault. Couldn't give me the shake I wanted and asked if I wanted a mixer...all vanilla ice scream with a few cookie dough crumbles. My husbands shake over flowed all the car. Alright I am extremely displeased with sonic this time around. I ordered a Oreo Cheesecake Master Shake and it still hasn't come for over 35 minutes. I pressed the red button to talk to this girl and she said that I'm sure it will be out soon. That was 20 minutes ago. Then another girl came outside and asked me if I ordered something else and I told her no and said I got the Oreo cheesecake. I'm so pissed to have to wait this long FOR A SHAKE!!!!!! PRESCOTT VALLEY LOCATION (No business page yet, so I'm posting here) Starving after a long drive (7 hours) & wanted something decent but hubby can't do breads. Asked if they had a grilled chicken patty that we could get 'protein style'. They only had shredded lettuce, so no. That's ok, but what we got was the chopped chicken patty and that's it! Dry...nothing else. Too big of a hurry to wait for them to fix it, that's the only reason we ever do fast food, lol. We have moved here since and we love In N Out's protein style burger! Sonic may want to invest in some whole lettuce leaves! read more
