I like sonic, but I'll never go back. They made my burger wrong manager said she was gonna write my name in a book. Come back and get a free one went back. They couldn't find my name . The drive thru didn't get my order right. I ordered a sausage toaster with a French vanilla iced coffee. The coffee was gross. Poured it out and the vanilla syrup definitely looked old and tasted old. They gave me a sausage burrito it had jalapeños in it. I can't eat them. This was right before work this morning around 8:30. Do better y'all. I'm never going back there. This is not the first time they have failed. This is just my first time leaving a review. Now I feel nauseous and have to work. Worst customer service I've ever had. I waited 15-20 minutes in a car stall and pushed the button to order several times. No one answered it so I got in the drive thru line. I finally order and get to the window when I pay and my drinks are given to me. We then wait another 10-15 minutes for our food and by this time, we've been there 45 minutes to an hour. My food is handled to me and I double check the bag and it was missing the fries. My son takes a bite of his cheeseburger and says it's cold. I check it and it is cold, not even lukewarm - it must've been pulled off the grill too quickly. So ask if we can get a new burger and they tell me it'll be 12 minutes. I said I didn't want to wait and would just like my money back for the combo. He said he would need the drink back so I went to hand him the empty cup since my son drank it by then and he shut the window in my face and said, "have a nice night" then proceeded to ignore me and refused to give me any money back. This is after we witnessed the employee who took my money get in an argument with a coworker and clock out and leave. This place obviously needs some better leadership and customer training. read more

At the end of a long day, too late to cook dinner, my kid asked for Sonic. Since the drive thru at this location is notoriously slow, I decided to park and press the red button. It was 9:20pm. After a long wait, my order was taken, and I inserted my card to pay. It was now 9:33pm. After seeing several customers pull up after me, place their orders, receive their orders, and leave, I began to grow impatient. As cars began to thin out in the drive thru and parking stalls, leaving us and two other cars, a new customer pulled up, and I overheard someone on the intercom say, "Thank you for choosing Sonic, we are now closed." I looked at the time - it was 10:02pm. The customer pulled off. One minute later, all of the overhead lights shut off, and we were now sitting in the dark - In a part of town with a higher crime rate, where you definitely have to keep your head on a swivel even during daylight hours. I pressed the red button again, immediately. There was no answer, so I called the store. The phone rang infinitely. Finally, someone answered the intercom. "Thank you for choosing Sonic, we are now closed," a voice says. "I didn't get my food, I've been here for 30 minutes," I reply. The voice hesitates. "Did you order on the app?" She says, seemingly ready to dismiss my claim to my food. "No, I ordered right here. I pressed the red button, somebody took my order, and I put my card into the screen." "Oh. Well your order should be out shortly. Our cook got slammed with two large orders at the last minute and yours is coming up." As pissed as I was, I also had to stay mindful that if they don't care about timeliness or keeping up with orders, they probably don't care about tampering with my food. So I stayed polite. "Can you please tell me about how long it'll be?" "We have a couple of things coming out right now, I can't say whether or not they're yours, but it should be coming out soon." "So you can't give me an estimate on how long it's going to take? I have to get my kid to bed" "It should be coming out soon." "Ok," I say, defeated. At this point, I had every intent on driving away, and battling for a refund or disputing the charge the next day, but me and my kid would be back to square one: on the hunt for food, and potentially having to restart our wait, if we could find a place that was still open. So we stayed. About 10:15pm, a young polite man popped up out of the shadows and delivered our food. He gave us an additional cherry limeade and a small tater tot for our wait. I didn't think this was acceptable, but I didn't want to take it out on him, so we checked the bag to make sure the order looked correct, and we left. When we got home, (5 minute drive), we found that the food was ice cold, and my son had the wrong sandwich. At this point, he was so frustrated and hungry, he told me not to worry about it, and ate it anyway. The next day, I called the 800 number, or customer service or whatever. After hearing my story, the young lady on the phone said that she'd notify the store, and thanked me for calling. I asked was there anything she could do for the inconvenience, and she said, "oh yeah. I can give you a credit in the Sonic app." I told her I didn't have the Sonic app, and asked if I had to input personal information like email and phone number etc, in order to receive the credit. She said yes. I told her I wasn't interested in signing up, and she sharply said, "Ok. Since you're denying the credit, I will reach out to the store, they will call you, and you can see what they can do." I asked her, "What is my next step if they don't call me? Do I call your department back?" She said, "No. You call the store, since that's where you had the issue." Needless to say, I never heard from the store. I called the store, and they didn't answer the phone. If you are so high on drugs that your time perception is off, and you don't care about waiting in the dark for cold food like some kind of neglected house pet, this might be the perfect place for you. As for me and mine, we won't be coming back to this location. Lastly, my mom always said, "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all." One thing I like about sonics is it could be seven 730 in the morning and you can order anything off the menu. This sonic has been here for some years I have seen many employees come and go. But I love their tenders and popcorn chicken. Especially in the spring and hot summer you can get there slushy's shakes and ice cream. I have had a few wrong orders made though. And sometimes you can be in the drive-through for a while. But the overall service is not bad at all. read more

So after ordering and waiting 30 minutes, a girl came to my car, looked in and said oh you havent got your order yet, I'm sorry, I'll be right out with it. 20 minutes later (I only waited bc my son really wanted this) I called inside spoke with mgmt and he apologized said he'd come right out with my order...he brought out 2 bags of old food NONE of which I ordered like he was doing me a favor. He tells me how the other locations are down, short staff etc...I told him to cancel my food but I needed my sons order. Finally he brought out my sons food. Glad u checked bc now the bread was so hard you could tap on it...I then went to the door and asked for a fresh bun!!! Hands down I love sonic drinks! Especially there strawberry cheesecake shake, that's always my go to. But I wanted to try something different this time so I got the new strawberry Rose lemonade slush thing they have because it looked good and it has strawberries chunks in it and also ordered some onion rings because I never really order their food so just wanted to try something small and who can mess up onion rings? Well let me tell you, my onion rings tasted like funnel cakes which tells me they are frying everything in the same old nasty grease so those were disgusting and I for sure will stick to their drinks which my drink was actually really good but it honestly tasted like a margarita like they had put some alcohol or something in my drink which I love me a margarita but I didn't ask for that. But it was a good drink overall and service was really fast but wouldn't recommend getting the food here and next time I'll just stick to my regular shake. read more

This is the worst sonic let alone fast food restaurant service I've ever had. First time I literally sat at the drive thru for almost 10 minutes before anyone even asked for my order. Then when pulling up to the window, employees were eating food right out of customers bags and took forever to get out my cheeseburger and tots. Second and last time going there I ordered and sat in line in the drive through for nearly 15 minutes and the line never even moved so I left without my food. Employees seemed like they had no idea what they were doing and management sitting around in the back doing nothing during a rush. Where do I start other than to say: Don't eat here. Now, to be fair, the food tastes the same as any other Sonic. But you have to have the patience of Job to wait for it. This has got to be the slowest Sonic in the entire Midwest region. OK, well . . . maybe just in the state of Nebraska. It is faster for me to get on the interstate, drive to Council Bluffs, place an order at the Sonic on Broadway and drive back than it is to place an order and get my food here. Psst, Sonic Regional Management, if you're reading this, please conduct a secret shopper evaluation to verify my comments. This Sonic is in a primo location. With all of the nearby construction, they are prime to benefit from increased customer traffic. But they'll absolutely have to improve their time of service in order to capitalize on that opportunity. read more

I went to this Sonics on January 30th 2018 around 3:50 p.m. A manager named Sarah began to take my order. I ordered a shake that I had coupon for, then Sarah stated very rudely what size. I told her I had a coupon and asked if they had a small ( keep in mind I don't order sonic shakes often and some places only have certain sizes) Sarah began to talk to me like I was dumb with a lot of attitude in her voice. I then told her how rude she was and then she started yelling explicit language through the microphone. I pulled to the window and ask to speak to a manager and the manager was Sarah who refused to come to the window. Horrible experience. Ordered mozzarella sticks, and a few slushees. Got to my destination, and no marina sauce. Went back and asked for fresh mozzarella sticks, and marinara sauce. He says he'll see because the managers are strict, mind you I had the receipt, and all the food, minus a small bite taken out. He comes right back out, and I ask if it's fresh, he says yes. This Sonic location has poor customer service. I visited on Sat. April 8th around 12:45 and there was an error with my order. I called & called until I finally received an answer. The youmg woman who answered was polite & apologized. She started she would put my name in the book since I was unable to return for a day or 2. She said since he forgot to give me my receipt I would have no problem as my name was in the book. I returned on Mon. April 10th around 2:30. I ended canceling my order as they would not honor what the lady had said. They were rude & said my name was not in the book & there was nothing they could do. I hope corporate does something about this as they are giving a bad representation of what Sonic' s customer service is. read more

I went there this morning 2.3.2021 before work and I believe her name was Stevie. She said she was the manager. She got the order wrong and when I asked for the orange juice she insisted that I never asked for orange juice and was extremely RUDE! I said okay, can I please have some orange juice for the two orders. She sighed and said "YOU SHOULD HAVE KNOWN THERE WAS NO ORANGE JUICE ON THERE WHEN YOUR ORDER WAS ONLY $8". I ignored it and handed her a $20 to pay for the orange juice. She then said "GREAT - I THOUGHT YOU WOULD HAVE GIVEN ME THE $10 I JUST GAVE YOU BACK SO YOU ARE GOING TO GET ALL $1's BACK BECAUSE THIS IS RIDICULOUS". None of her business but I had given that $10 to my son for his lunch and a $20 is what I had. I asked her her name and she flipped her hat rudely and said, "YEAH I AM THE MANAGER". I work in the area but will NEVER go back there again because of HER. I will also tell all my friends and family to never go there again. I have been there many times usually in the evenings and have NEVER had a bad experience but she is HORRIBLE. read more

Icky poo! Got stuff to pick up and go -- did not realize until we were on the road about 5 miles away that we had been OVERCHARGED and that the food was inedible. Did not go back. Will not go back. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS! I did complain to Sonic website and got a call from the manager, which helped. She offered us a free meal and shake next time we were in town. Problem is ... this was a vacation stop and we will not be going back there. Besides, I don't want MORE NASTY FOOD, just wanted a refund for the food we got but could not eat.
