What happened to all the fast food joints? Sonic, you are just another failed attempt at having something nostalgic, quick, and fairly cheap. Cheeseburger with everything on it had laughable ingredients. Whomever threw the burger together put two onion, three shreds of lettuce, one tiny tomato, and an oddly large amount of pickles. The burger and tots both taste like old grease. The kids are happy with their shakes but it makes me really nervous and I wonder how often the ice cream machines are cleaned (kiddos are teenagers so I wasn't present when ordering). The customer service was horrible,me and my husband pulled into the drive thru to order and they took about five minutes to take our order and they where so impatient we ordered a blizzard and where not done placing our order and they told us to pull forward we had to pull forward to the next window to add stuff to our order,then when we asked for the name of who took our order they wouldn't give it to us,me and my husband will NOT be coming back to this location.The blizzard was a heath blizzard and there was barley any heath in it.Do not come here unless you want to be disappointed and disrespected. read more

Every time I have used the app I have to wait longer than other people at the restaurant and they have a horrible habit of hitting the button to show they are on the way bit I still end up waiting at least 7 minutes or more after that for my order. I mobile ordered at this location and when I arrive the lights are out and the employees inside were on their phones. I checked in on the app and the screen received my information and then proceeded to say it was in the kitchen. 25 minutes passed and my order the was supposedly "on its way" but then it never came. I decided to get out of my car and knock on the door to see if I could figure out what the issue was. I was then informed that they were "closed" when their posted hours said they were open. I was told that I would have to get a refund through the app and then she tried to quickly shut the door. I didn't know closing early and being stupid was in the job description. read more

This place sucks so bad it's not even worth one star. If you go here, be prepared to wait at least 20 minutes, even if you're the only car. You'll wait 45 if there are cars. Your order WILL be wrong. No matter what. Sometimes they just decide not to take your order at all. The workers like to take smoke breaks while there are customers, sometimes leaving nobody attending the restaurant at all. I'd rather visit the post office or DMV than go to this dump. I'd go elsewhere, but I have eternal hope that these people will turn things around. Three years and still the same garbage heap. I just went through the drive-through and ordered two cheeseburgers. There are no cars behind me and not a single car pulled into a single stall. When I got to the pay window I asked if I could add a corn dog since there were no other customers. The girl at the window said No and that I would have to drive back around and order it through the drive through. "There is no way to add it or do another order". I'm appalled. I am a frequent visitor of Sonic at 151st and Antioch and it is usually pretty consistent. However I was in Olathe tonight and decided to stop at this location. Looking back, I would've rather rammed my car into the stoplight than entered the drive thru line. After ordering, we waited for 15 minutes behind a car. We were the only two cars in line. Hell, the car before us was there for probably a solid 20 minutes. And you call yourselves a fast food restaurant? After getting our food, I looked into the bag and noticed that I only got 3/4 of the items I ordered, but I was already tired of waiting. I came home to enjoy my meal, only to find out that the mozzarella sticks were undercooked and when pulled apart, the mozzarella resembled rubber. The tater tots had fryer juice at the bottom of the box. Not only will I never be returning to this location, I am personally going to find all staff working tonight and make their lives a living hell. We waited 20 MINUTES before someone came out and told me their slush machine was broken (again), and I would have to call customer service to get a refund. Customer service told me the restaurant is responsible for the refund and they wouldn't issue one. It's been 2 weeks and I still have not got my money back. I will never be back. Everytime I visit this location I tell myself not to go back, then I forget how horrible they are. Ordered a small butterfinger blast and a mini m&m blast. Got charged for two smalls, got delivered two mini's, neither was correct...one had fruit and the other was a mix of something weird, peanutbutter and something else. They were both dripping down the sides and all over the cups. Go the extra mile and visit the location at Blackbob and 136th. Much better staff that listens and corrects mistakes. read more

This sonic is close to my home and workplace so this is unfortunately the one I frequent the most. When ordering anything fried you'll get the taste of stale oil. The popcorn chicken, onion rings, tots and breaded steak sanchwich is the worse. Many times the tea tastes sour. The service can take up to 20 minutes when they are NOT that busy. I've never had a problem with the stale oil taste at any other sonic than this one. read more

Saturday morning 11/21/15 at around 11:30 my BF and I stopped in for breakfast before heading out for the day. The restaurant wasn't busy and it didn't take long to get our order; supersonic breakfast burrito combo, mozzarella sticks, and onion rings. However after we pulled out to eat on the road, I noticed there was fryer grease dripping, from the tots, then from the rings, then from my breakfast burrito, and the entire bag. It was obvious we were served/dumped an supersonic upsize of grease with our food. I was completely distraught that someone would intentionally do that to their customers.
