A very polite server provided menus and took our drink orders. My daughter and I both had Micheladas. You can select what beer you want in the mix. I had Modelo Negro, my daughter selected Modelo Especial. My wife had a bottle of water. No tap water here, you need to buy the bottle. We studied the menu trying to decide what to get. Everything we could see others eating looked great and tacos seemed to be the popular meal. Our Micheladas came out and these were festive. Large mugs, rimmed with a pretty zippy tahin and pepper blend, filled with the beer and a slightly spicy tomato juice mix. Very flavorful. A something new for us was the addition of a tamarind straw. It's a plastic straw, covered with a sweet spicy tamarind blend. They actually call it candy. You use it to stir your drink and then nibble on the candy. What a great fun thing to add to a drink. By the way, the Michelada was excellent. I enjoyed licking the tajin seasoned rim with each sip, just like a salted rim on a margarita. Still studying the menu, we ordered the Choriqueso appetizer. The basket came out with fresh fried corn tortilla chips and a bowl of queso cheese with chorizo sausage crumbled into it. Runnier than most cheese dips we're used to, but enjoyable nonetheless. Finally we ordered our meals. Al Pastor Tacos for my wife, Chorizo and Steak Tacos and Quesabirria Quesadilla for my daughter and Caldo de Camaron for myself. In just a few minutes, our delights were delivered and the feast began. All of the meats in the tacos and quesadilla were excellent. Great flavors and no skimping on the meats. Onions, cilantro and self squeezed lime punched up the flavors. The quesabirria come with an au jus style dipping sauce that was perfect. My shrimp soup was spectacular. Easily shareable, but I accepted the challenge to eat this myself. Served with numerous warm tortillas, chopped onions, cilantro and lime, I put it all in. A very light yet flavorful broth and as the pic shows, loaded with flavorful shrimp. I enjoyed every spoonful. A wonderful soup. As with most authentic Mexican restaurants, you are made to feel that \you are their guest. They will never make you feel that you've overstayed and if you want your check, you just go to the register at the counter. Looking forward to our next trip there.

I order a Reese's shake, it's a simple order not like some people's Starbucks order. I revived a plain vanilla shake, if I wanted to spend money on a plain shake in this economy sonic would not be my first option. If your going to advertise these "awesome shakes" I expect awesomely. Also, order cheese sticks, they come cold and stuck together. The person who took my order said the ice cream machine was broken, and I couldn't blast, but they could only make milkshakes not the same thing. I was talking to a friend who visits frequently and she said that the drive-through is closed most of the time the main ordering system being the drive-through. This being my first sonic experience it will be my last, I will be taking my business elsewhere to dairy queen. read more

Sonic is like playing Russian Roulette. Sometimes it is good, usually it is bad. The fries are almost always soggy, sometimes cold. The corn dogs are usually good. The burgers are sometimes on soggy bread, sometimes not. Sometimes they taste freshly cooked, sometimes they are as soggy as the bread. The tater tots are usually good. The service is usually bad. The teenage girls that work there are pretty rough, and they all act like they are on work release from prison. None of the servers roller skates any more at this location. That stopped a couple of years ago. The outside drive-in booths are pretty dirty, and usually have spider-webs around the menu-speaker. Sonic Drive-In is an okay spot for a quick bite, but it's a bit hit or miss. The atmosphere is calm and relaxed. The menu has a lot of variety, which is nice, and the drinks are always a highlight, especially the slushes. However, the food quality can be inconsistent sometimes it's fresh and tasty, other times it's just average. The service is generally quick, but I've had a few visits where my order was incorrect or took longer than expected. The drive-in experience is fun, but the overall value depends on the day. Waited 20 minutes to get order to go. Took up my entire 30 minute lunch time. Got back to office to find cold fries, hot dog was completely made wrong (ordered ketchup and relish, got chili dog), and doughy pretzels. Tried repeatedly to call the location only to have the employees pick up phone and hang back up, without even acknowledging caller. Understand being busy, but not to the point of making incorrect orders, refusing to answer phones, and yet still charge for cold, undercooked food. Processed a stop on debit card.
