Yikes! Saw a cockroach scurry across the walkway while I was in line at the drive through. Gross /: all I got was a slush anyway so I stayed. Not impressed. Burger was more cold than hot, asked then to hold lettuce on one of the burgers, but they neglected to do that. I ordered a green Apple slush, but was given grape. We found the drink error in tone and they fixed it. By the time we found the burger issue, we were running late and couldn't wait, Shi had top just try top pick the lettuce off. Sadly this place don't even deserve the 1 star. My husband and I have come here many times and have left unhappy most of the time. The only thing that brings us back is the 1/2 off shakes and even that isn't helping. Either our shakes are so runny or not all the way filled it's disappointing. Went there for a shake and a cherry limeade. Only 2 cars in the drive thru and it 23 minutes. I requested and paid for extra cherry flavoring and didn't get it. My family and I love going to sonic for drinks and dessert but have had a lot of issues with the service and the wait time in the drive thru. The other night we decided to get a late night dessert and placed a order in the drive thru and waited over 30 minutes in line just for a milkshake and an ice cream cake there were only 4 cars ahead of us. I know things happen and being under staffed can be an issue but this is a constant problem with THIS sonic and it's getting old and something has to be done by the upper management, they are in desperate need of help to speed things up and correct some of the employees attitudes along with making sure drinks and food are made correctly and that ALL items are in the bag. I only give this sonic one star based purely on the fact we enjoy sonic's menu but seldom is made correctly. read more

Should have read yelp before eating here. Everyone is correct about the OMG wait time. 5 cars ahead of me and 40 minute wait. I went there because I was in a hurry. This has to be the worst service I've ever experienced ANYWHERE. Each time we come here we wait at least 20 minutes. Today we have waited for 35 minutes while all the employees are talking, laughing, and standing around. We could have gotten faster service at an actual restaurant. We went through the drive through thinking it would be fine but NOPE. The girls who work here are also rude. We waited for 35 minutes until we finally made it up to the window and the girl couldn't even say "sorry about the wait." I asked a simple question and she said "huh?" And slammed the window. I am now trying to call and the phone just keeps ringing. Probably because their rap music was up so damn loud. Wow, from other reviews, I don't know what these people expect but Sonic is a good value and the burgers, hot dogs are as good as any other drive thru (except maybe In N Out). Popcorn chicken is a fav of the kids. The $1 sundae with M&Ms rocks. Cherry Limeade is the BEST in summer. And the Chocolate Pie Shake is awesome. Forced to eat there one day against my will due to many mistakes on orders in the past. Have you ever had a place actually forget to put a patty in your burger? Well, if not, try here, they'll do it! Also, when went back to get an actual burger, I had to argue about getting fresh fries. Really? They're not that great when hot, let alone when they're cold! We always think of sonic for shakes and our cool happy hour drinks. For summer it is always somewhere we often visit. Normally happy. Very long waits. When happy hour is in effect. Today I treated my whole family out. I treated them to shakes and I ordered a sonic blast. They forgot my order. I was super bummed. But I'm going back to get my correct order. My rating will go to a five. Depending on how they resolve my wrong order. Update. We drove back to get our correct drink order. And the lady we talked to first. Accused us of lying. Then she said we picked the drink up off of the floor. Pretty much telling us we picked up someone's trash. Although we were returning an oreo shake. For the snickers blast. That isn't part of half price. Showing her the receipt. She was still thinking we were lying. Until the cashier that handed us our drinks and took our order initially overheard what was happening and said she remembered us and she had to tell us sorry for the mess up. If I could give no stars If I could my wife and I order two meals and waited 30 minutes in the drive thru. They didn't even come to the window to tell us how long our food was going to be. I came to Sonic with the hopes of it being as amazing as it is in Madera. I could have never been more wrong. They used a sticker to cover a crack on my cup after having to wait about half an hour for them to come out. This is the most unsanitary thing I've seen at a fast food place let alone any food handling place. After notifying the workers, someone came out with no introduction, grabbed the cup, and mumbled "sorry about that" while already turning away. The same worker returned with a replacement, a blunt "here you go", then walked away without even saying you're welcome after I thanked her for replacing it. This is the worst Sonic I have ever been to and I will make sure to prevent anyone I know from attempting to come here. I regret not getting the management number to inform them that their workers are handing out such poor quality products. read more

The years I've been to sonic I've never been so disappointed in the food but in the management how is this store still running. I Came to sonic late after 6 pm on Thursday night 12/14/17 and I was already waiting for my food for about 10 mins already then Before I can even ask to use the bathroom because my daughter had to go I went to the door to see if it was open there's a HUGE SIGN that says out of order but then I hear girls laughing in the bathroom and smell marijuana coming through the door I look under the sign a little and a heavy Set girl in green and a orange hair skinny girl in red was smoking in the bathroom I mean is this what sonic turned into now.. I can't use the bathroom because employees wanna do this kind of stuff seriously everyday I come here there's always a wait for my food and the management theirselves are slow I swear one of them is always sitting outside... sonic isn't the same anymore definitely should take this up to cooperate read more

Horrible experience x2!!!! African American girl named Denise took my order; very rude and not welcoming at all. Then when I was handed my food the guy said here is your toaster and your bacon cheesburger. I said excuse me but I didn't order a toaster I ordered a chicken club and a bacon cheeseburger. He apologized and took it back. Denise then brings the food back and insists that I ordered that and I said I ordered a chicken club and a cheeseburger. She said yes that is what number 3 and 10 are. I said okay (wondering why I was told a toaster but okay) get home not what I ordered. I called them 3 times and was hung up on twice. I decided to drive back and when i got there and asked to speak to a manager. As the manager walks out I hear Denise say, " oh I know why" REALLY I bet you do?? So the manager says I'm sorry we have the low riders here today. WOW!!! I told her look I'm a customer just like them but that is no excuse. She remakes my order. As im waiting I decide to post my first yelp review and as I'm reading the other reviews I realize that this is not the first complaint about Denise. I tell the manager and her reply was. Well she should be leaving soon and hopeully we get someone better at the drive thru. Umm take her off drive thru.. problem solved. I hope the Owner realises what poor service is being provided. Ok just to start things off, I love sonic let me not misjudge the place. Well, the reason I rated it as I did was because of a certain night. So I just came back from sorting and we decide to go to dinner. Sonic was near by and so we went their, because every time I have been there before was great. BUT in Turlock we had ordered a hamburger hot dog and a couple fries. The guy took our order and when he brought it out he dropped it. His exact words after we asked about the food were, "Oh, yea they are fine, just seemed the hot dog was off balance." and so he handed us everything after we paid. We look through the bag and what do you know the hot dog was missing. I got out to look at the side of the car where he had dropped it and what do ya know it was laying on the ground. He had came out moments later and with a second hot dog we had not ordered. Luckily the one dropped was enclosed in a bag so it was perfectly fine. We had got 2 hot dogs for the price of one. I was so annoyed that the guy did not pick it up let alone tell us. So yea that's all. THANKS read more

If I could give negative stars, I would. Went through the drive-thru this afternoon (about an hour or so ago). Placed my order (nothing complicated), pulled around to the window and sat.... and sat.... and sat. The two cars BEHIND me got their orders before I did (did I mention I was at the window?). Finally got our drinks and that's where everything went to heck in a hand basket. Iced tea was way too strong (fixed it when I got home), my DIL's Dr. Pepper slushie was so sickly sweet we tossed it at the gas station, the onion ring (yes, 1 ring) tasted like it was made with funnel cake batter (again, way too sweet), DIL's chicken strips were tough, and they forgot the BBQ sauce after asking me twice if that's what I wanted. Everything else was 'meh'. Oh, and after the interminable wait, I was given 2 coupons for free tots on my next visit. Needless to say those coupons aren't gonna get used. read more

I'm trying to debate how I want to go about this. I literally just came from Sonic about a couple hours ago. So night-time waits are already pretty. But the drive-thru gave me the wrong order so it was an extra long wait. The car behind me started honking excessively to the point where other cars started honking as if I just wasn't moving for no reason when I didn't even have my food yet. Everything about this part was fucking ridiculous. I'm just going to avoid all details about almost fighting somebody in the Sonic Drive Thru. Point is, the workers were inside just watching rather than speeding it up when all these cars were going off. I can't put all the blame on the workers. I can definitely put most of it on impatient bastards. But I'm never going back here. That's for sure. read more

Did I seriously wait in the drive thru for an hour for a milkshake? I don't know what's going on at this Sonic but they are super slow! There are a bunch of teens running the place with apparently no supervisor on the premises or service would not be this bad. We waited over an hour for a couple of milkshakes. Hoping it was just a fluke, we went back. It was a little faster the second time around but they messed our order up when it was only 2 drinks and an onion ring, one of our shakes had syrup all down the side and to top it off, my husband had to go back because his "chocolate" shake was watery and pretty much a vanilla shake. He actually was so disgusted he just threw it away. The next time we want a shake, we will drive the extra distance to the Ripon Sonic...where they are fast and never mess up our order! read more
