I have never been so disappointed or grossed out by a fast food restaurant this badly. The coney dog was practically raw... the bun was too soft it was gummy & mushy, and had no flavor. The chili was cold. The French fries were good. The burger was soggy and had no flavor. The bun was stale and fell apart. When we got our food we drove away to eat it. I didn't have the stomach to go back. I literally felt sick and we went straight to my daughter's place. I have no desire to return. By the looks of some reviews at other locations, it's about the same. It's sad because I have such nostalgia for Sonic. The location in Gilroy, that was close to our home was great. I have to be honest. I was a little hesitant to try this location because it doesn't look as bright and shiny as other sonic locations do. However, I went to get the trick-or-treat blast about a week ago and it was really good. I just went back today to try the new iced toffee coffee that they advertised which honestly was not good at all, but I should've known better. Ordered a chili-cheese coney through the mobile app. Went to pick it up, and on the drive back to work, could start to smell that it wasn't right. As you can see in the photo, the chili was completely burnt. Called Sonic and requested to speak to a manager. Spoke to CJ and advised that I just wanted to let her know that the chili was bad/overcooked/burnt so they didn't continue to sell it to other customers. Wife and I came to get a quick bite to eat. I had the green chili burger with tater Tots and a large soda. She tried the double cheeseburger and large sprite. My food was great but my wife said her burger tasted funny and only ate half. I finished the rest. She later got sick for 4 to 5 days, suspected food poisoning. I used my app to order a Route 44 Coke Zero with cherry syrup and fresh limes. I was about ten minutes away from Sonic when I placed my app order. When I got to Sonic, I pulled up to a stall, entered the stall number into my app and waited. The stall screen indicated that my drink was being made and would be out shortly. This was at 4:05 on 9-27-23. At 4:25, I pressed the red call button and asked when my drink would be coming out. I was met with "we are very busy and it will be soon." At 4:40, I still had not received my drink, so I went into the restaurant. A girl with a headset asked if she could help and I told her I was waiting for my drink. She disappeared into the back and started to bring other people's orders out. Another server with a headset asked if she could help me and by this time I wanted my money back. I was told I could not get my money back because she could not find my ticket, but she did see my order (??????????????) and she would just have to make me the drink. When I told her how disappointed I was, she said "we are really busy." I walked out of Sonic at 4:50 with a Route 44 drink that WASN'T Coke Zero. It was a regular Coke with lime flavoring. After she told us how much at the drive thru window, we gave her( a small white girl with blonde hair) our bank card then she left to get us our order and came back with our stuff with receipt and card in her hand then she said she would give us our bank card and receipt. Walked in to grab a quick cup of coffee before my appointment next door. The restaurant itself seemed clean and the young man working the register was friendly. What we didn't like was their coffee. If I knew beforehand that 'Green Mountain' was what they served I never would have went in. It's about the nastiest, cheapest tasting crap on the planet when it comes to coffee. Take it from me- this Sonic is awesome! From outside in you don't wanna come in, but once inside, you realize there's no need to leave. You got good people tending the place, cool drinks, food and desserts. The place is clean, welcoming, and an oasis in the sun. The staff puts double FF in fantastic and the drinks will keep you from passing out in this heat. Its a Sonic, duh! not an elegant Italian Restaurant so there's not much to expect at times, so I'm actually kinda confused about the negative reviews, but I can tell you I enjoyed my visit and be glad to be back! read more

1/2 off drinks when you order on the app...NOT. Kind of upset this Sonic has not updated their hours on the app. Because soft drinks in our family is essential when we drive from Maricopa...ANYWHERE. My fiancé and I like to pre-order due to the fact we have 2 little ones (3 y/o and 7 month old) and hate getting down. So, when we are able to do curbside pick-up the employee's are our super hero's in disguise. BUT... When I mentioned it to the carhop, she continued to take our order.
