We have not eaten here. My review is strictly based off of the fact that my son had an interview, and was given an appointment time. And then when he got there 15 minutes early for his scheduled interview, they told him to come back in an hour. Because they didn't have time to do it right now. The manager explained to me that they were in the middle of a process change, and that they just switched to an automated system for hiring. But I still felt that it was disrespectful to waste my son's time. As if he has all day and all evening to sit and wait for a minimum wage job interview. It was just yucky to me. So I tried something unique, well not really unique; but I just wanted to see how this location would respond. I used online ordering and it had a button "check in". I actually ordered the entire meal at the location because my wifi did not work with the app. I ended up getting there and asking at the window. There was a guy who directed me to park in a stall. It had been like 10 minutes before I went back to the window and the gal told me that she did not know because I had not pressed checked in. Weirdly enough, they knew there was an online order, like Wendy's or McDonald's or Burger King; however, Sonic wants you to check in so then they can send out someone to bring you the food. Would it not cut down on someone having to walk if they just had it ready, at the window (if someone online drives through the drive through to get it?) Maybe they are doing it so you give the car hop a tip? But then one already pays that online if they choose to. I think it would be more efficient if there were multiple ways of picking out orders. I'll be a Karen and leave a review because this Sonic displayed the epitome of customer bad-service. First of all, when ordering I asked the employee what the difference between a Blast and Shake was. The employee responded sarcastically, "blast is a blast and shake is a shake". Okay sure, people are sassy. Now this is the reason why I had to get on Yelp and leave a review for the first time this year. The worker who brought my food out did not provide a spoon for my shake. When I asked them for a spoon they said shakes don't come with spoons. I dont know who the manager is for this Sonic but they're clearly not doing their job. The shake that I bought and could not eat because I had no spoon is placed on the overflowing trashcan. The wait time is what seems to get people mad, listen, they take time to make the food the way they've been instructed for quality purposes. I can respect that. If you want your food fast, order online, or go to McDonald's. The quality was not bad! The taste was good, chicken was a little dry but it's fast food. Their onion rings are weirdly sweet, but it might be up some people's ally. Also when their ice cream machine was out of order, (we had prepaid) they gave us a large slushee that was more than we paid for! They get a bad rep, but I don't think they deserve it. I think maybe they employ people who are high because it seems like no one knows how to make any of the food or drinks. When I go to the Richmond location, I am AMAZED at the difference in quality. For example. Large cherry limeade is one of my go to's. This Sonic puts way too much lime in it, EVERY TIME, and doesn't give any actual cherries in it. It seems super watered down and nasty. Another example. Meat burritos I usually get. Hardly ANYTHING to them. I think they got lazy half way making the burrito. And on top of THAT, they're not even rolled properly so when you open the damn thing your ingredients are falling out. I've been going here for months, so this isn't just one occasion where maybe someone had a bad day or something. I actually made a complaint to corporate.
