I started using Liquor Barn curbside service a couple of weeks ago and it's been very handy. You can order online, then you get an immediate email that your order has been received and then when your order is ready for pickup, you get a final email. It never takes more than 15 minutes for all that to transpire. When you get to the store, you call them on the phone number provided you in the texts. Give them your name, describe your car, and in couple of minutes, you're on your way. Pro tip: the entire inventory is NOT listed online. For example, Ale81s aren't listed. I've found that after placing an order online and receiving confirmation that it's being processed, I can call the store and they'll add whatever I want to the order. Holy smokes, this place. On our way out of Lexington, we wanted to go some place to buy bourbons we can't get in the ATL. A quick google search and this place popped up as the closest liquor store to where we were. Plus, we really just wanted to see a barn of liquor. Anyway. We walked in and although the fluorescent lighting leaves much to be desired, my jaw just dropped at this party super store. Yes, you can buy party décor here, but you can also buy every.single.thing.you.possibly.need. As I wandered in, ogling the cheese and salamis, I realized oh hey, I could get a frozen pizza. And fresh pasta. And olives. And bread. And mustard from Germany, France, or the USA. And chocolate dipped bourbon twinkies. What on earth IS this place? And why don't we have one in Atlanta?!? And all this excitement before I started looking at the liquor... I stumbled upon the clearance liquor first, where there was terrific selection of so many wines, liquors, and liquers. Definitely a place to shop if you're on a budget! I was pleased to see a terrific selection of sparkling wine (YAY GRAHAM BECK ROSE!) and bourbons. While there was every moscato under the sun, I could not locate one single bottle of French rose. Boohoo. When I asked about South African wines, I got pointed to South America (*facepalm*). We did end up with some rockin' deals on Glenlivet gift sets and got a 5% discount for buying 6 liquors. Woohoo. As far as Bourbon havens go, this place is a must go! 150+ different Bourbons and in a variety of sizes. Walk the section and talk to the others who are also looking for the great Bourbon find. I ran into a guy who drove up from Atlanta and was very helpful with information on a few Bourbons he'd tried. He was like me, getting several Bourbons we can't find at home. Actually, I found the buyers in the aisles to be more helpful than the employees... Great wine selections and even some salted meats. The food options were neat. C'Mon, Raos' Italian sauce in a Liquor Barn in Lexington! Word of advice, check out Krogers Wine & Spirits too. Not as large a selection but very aggressive pricing. read more

Subpar at best customer service. While waiting in line and employee wanted to get their cigarettes paid for before she took her break and bucked in line. Not the first time I've had not what you expect customer service from liquor barn. Hamburg location is much better. read more

It was such a bummer that this store ran out of the liquor I needed to make. But it was great to have so many employees to help me find what I was looking for. Every time I come here, there has always been someone around to help me with everything I needed. I've never had any problems with their customer service. It also helps that they never believe my age when I get carded...so this review might be a little biased. Hahaha. Just kidding. All seriousness not only do I prefer to come here for all my liquid courage purchases due to it's close proximity to my house, I also come here because they have large selection and the prices aren't too bad. They also have an array of fancy cheeses, wines and liquor that are already cold, crackers, mixed drink mixers, etc. I will continue to come here ! read more

Liquor Barn is still an alcoholic mecca and this specific store use to be the flag ship. I use to love coming here, but through the years it has gone down hill in my opinion. It could also be there are just 2 other big Liquor Barns that are much newer and better. All of that being said. It is a smaller and less modern shop. I still love they fact they have tons and tons of booze, but it truly has lost its sparkle over the years. Since it is a smaller building, they don't seem to have as many options as the other 2 (Hamburg and Beaumont). So if they didn't spoil me to the other big Barns. I would really be ok and super happy with this specific one. I still go here in a pinch or when I am close by. read more

Stopped here because it was the closest place to where I was staying to get Dad's brand Cheese Spread. As soon as I walked in it was dark, dirty and dingy. They didn't have Dad's so I just got another local beer cheese. When I went to check out only 2 employees working on a Saturday night and one was breaking down boxes, the other was helping some others at a locked case. All the registers were either blocked off or piled with stuff. Had to check out at the counter where they keep the stuff they dont want to get stolen, the cashier was friendly but this store is not inviting so I will go to one of the others farther away next time. read more

If I could give this store ZERO stars, I would. I stopped here today and much to my surprise I was able to find a bottle of Blanton's. Unfortunately, in accordance with what I was told was store policy, I was unable to walk the store without paying for the bottle first. I was also told the clerk would hold the bottle while I shopped for other items. When I arrived back at the register to check out, the same young lady told me the bottle had been sold by someone else. In reality, I was away from the register all of 5 mins and the same individual never moved. My guess, based off the smirk on her face, and the fake surprise the bottle was gone, the young lady sold the bottle to a regular customer. I'm sorry but this is extremely bad business and I will be sure to share the story with anyone in the area, or that travels to the area, to ensure they spend their hard earned money elsewhere. read more

Not a fan of these little liquor barns that look so run down. They really need to update the inside and the lights. It feels like you are walking into an old wear house in Detroit. I really like the new ones that the built. So much nicer and cleaner and so bright when you walk in. Plus the new ones have such a bigger area for the cheese and meats. They really need to update the old ones. Keep up with the times guys. read more

This is my least favorite Liquor Barn... It is conveniently on the way to a dry county that I frequent though. I shop here often but don't boter to browse or ask many questions due to not so much help with options and/or knowledge. Luckily, I know my wines very well and with 10 minutes of running through isles I can usually find a decent vintage of something for a party. ..... ..... PS... I just want to comment on the selection of chocolate at the liquor barn in Hamburg. Obviously they have a wide selection of beer and liquor, but not a lot of people notice that they have gourmet chocolate. Truffles and Vosges chocolate (favorite flavor is the Naga bar- hints of curry and coconut. It's amazing). They even have Scharfenburger (sp?) baking chocolate. I hope this review finds anyone who is sick and tired of being stuck with Ghirardelli at all the grocery stores. read more

If I could give zero stars I would.. I have used the internet for my order and the site has drawn 300 the first time out of my bank account. The second time I used it it pulled 400 dollars out of my bank account.. I had to get a new bank card each time.. so dont use there online services.. I went inside the store and one of there employees took my bank card info and used it and where he used it he was on camera I filed charges and told the cops who he was not by name but where I used my card at and he was my cashier... I called and told the store about what had happened and told them I had proof with video and bank statement and when I went back into the store he is still working there so I just left.. he had already took my bank card numbers and used them once and I had to get a new card and I told liquor barn on richmond rd and had proof along with the police and he is still working there.. I wont go back there.. that is ridiculous cant use the online order thing because they draw 300 and 400 out of your account for no reason and keep pulling from your account til you have to close your account and report fraud and cant go in the store and use your new bank card because they have an employee who steals your card info and uses it and is on a video where he called his order but nothing is done with him. read more
