I was actually really excited to try sonics new smash burger, and it was actually pretty good for a fast food burger (not an actual smash burger though), but the tots definitely left something to be desired (bland and covered in black, fryer bits. These issues would be excusable if it wasn't for the wait. I had to wait 10+ minutes to get my order delivered to my car, but the server himself was actually really nice. I'm not sure if this amount of wait is like "the usual" for sonic (this is the first time I've been since I was a kid), but it felt weirdly long. The ambience was quite nice. Absolute shit service. Ordered a large Sprite and a Large lemonade at the order box and they said "they would be right with us" after we ordered and then never checked in again. We waited at the order box for 15 minutes, never heard from anyone again. So we pulled forward to the window since we had already ordered, though we never received a total. At the window we waited for another 15 minutes and can hear workers yelling on the inside. Clearly a very terribly run establishment with shitty, lazy workers. Do better. This is the second time I've been to this location in 2 weeks and no one will respond to me at the drive up intercoms or in the drive thru. I rarely ever go to sonic but there's been plenty of employees there each time I've tried to stop recently. The first time was about 20 minutes before closing, which I can understand starting to shut down at the that time. The second time was tonight, 2 hours before closing, and I still couldn't get service. Plenty of employees there as well. I even made eye contact with someone inside and they noticed and moved out of my view? I'm not sure what's going on, but I've called the customer service hotline and reported this as well. my mom and i made a lunch stop and we ordered a burger and a toaster ahead on the app. we check in and 10 minutes later had to press the stall button and say we've been waiting. when they finally bring a bag out there's just a burger. no napkins, no reciept, and no toaster. we ended up calling back, waiting, and calling a second time before we finally got our whole order. we used the app and were out a whopping 20 minutes later. as a former carhop, they need to put in more effort. read more

If I could give it a zero I would. Ordered chicken club toaster and they put a frozen breaded chicken pattie on it instead of the chicken breast. Tots with cheese, received tots with no cheese. Tea with extra ice, received tea with NO ice. All the food was cold and my tea was hot. read more

I honestly try to give this location a chance since its one building down from my job, but the service is horrible. I usually go around 8:45 am. When I pulled up to the speaker to push the button, no one answered. I waited about 5 minutes. Once I got frustrated with that, I backed out and used the drive thru. I waited about 3 minutes for them to answer me. Finally got my order in. I drove around only to see a few other cars in front of me. It took about 8 minutes for both of those cars to get their food. I finally get to the window, and it took another 3 minutes to get my stuff. I'm supposed to be for work at 9 am, and if the math is mathing, you can pretty much guess that I was late for work. I've been going to this location for the past couple of years and seen the quality gradually decrease to literally the worst I've ever had from a sonic last night. I had ordered ahead I still had to wait an extra 15 minutes for my food to come out. After leaving frustrated and once getting home, not only was it not what I ordered, but the drink, my tea, tasted as if it had been sitting for about 4 days. Tasting the burger I DID receive, it tasted so off that I just spat out my bite and threw the whole meal away, I wish I could give this a 0/5 stars. Okay, so I rarely eat fast food, I mean rarely, unless it's an emergency. Came here after a night of eating and drinking - I a talking 5 courses paired with 5 full-size cocktails, so we had to come to Sonic to chill and grab a coffee before driving home. Though they were ready to close, the staff was still eager to help, especially when it came to unlocking the restrooms. I don't ever have high expectations for fast food joints, so I tend to heavily weigh-in customer service. If the food is already mediocre, they need to overcompensate in other areas, right? Today I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich I asked for a fresh, and it took about 10 to 13 minutes for it to be done. and the french fries that I got was it were absolutely cold. It wasn't a whole chicken patty it was two small pieces of chicken put together on One Bun. The outside of the chicken was probably cooked way too fast because as soon as I bet into it one of the whole entire chicken patties came out and made a mess. It was too difficult to chew and take bites of. I had to keep putting the chicken patty back into it. I don't think I'll be ordering that again please teach someone how to properly cook chicken like that. read more

By far the worse sonic in Lafayette. I've gone there several times, every time they mess my order up. I've tried talking to the manager, they replaced my messed up meal for ANOTHER messed up meal. I then proceeded to call Corporate who again then was no help. I've always loved Sonic but the way they treated me at this location is enough to tell everyone I'm friends with and related to, to dodge it. I regret ever giving this sonic any of my money.
