Whoever was working at 8:30 on september 9, 2023, I just wanted to say thanks a whole hell of a lot for serving me that burnt foot long hot dog. It was literally crunchy it was so burnt and dried out. I know you probably dont care if Im complaining, but then you didnt care that you served it to me either. We ordered 7 Dr Peppers and one order of mozzarella sticks with the mobile app. I was at the location and ordered because 2 miles away it wouldn't let me order. Order went in and it was almost 30 minutes until we received our order. Other people came in and ordered across from us and got full bags of food brought out and we still sat there waiting. The lady next to us came in 15 minutes after we got there and ordered two meals and still got hers before us. When I pushed the call button I was told "Oh yes, it will be brought out." 7 minutes later they came out with it and was told "We only have one carhop." Umm lie, we saw two plus the girl that brought stuff out. Just laziness. We have been at the location before and they have workers just walking around. During Easter weekend, they had 3 workers walking around. Two in bunny costumes and one just walking with them like he was security. Sad how lazy our world has become. Won't ever go back to this location again. read more

This is the 4th time we have been here, in two weeks and there are no onion rings. It is only 6:00 pm. The attendent said they had some. And my friend asked if we ordered them could we get them? I have never ever gotten my food right from here. Not one in 13+ years. I usually have to call and have to drive all the way back up there to get replacement food. Sometimes the replacement food has even come out incorrectly. I know how to order my food, but the lady who always seems to be the one taking my order always wants to give me an attitude. When I say I want a number two with a Dr Pepper and Tator Tots then, yes, I want the combo so please don't get snippy when I repeat myself by saying I want a number two. I can not think of a single positive experience I have ever had here. I've had to boycott the place. I've even had a worker come out to my car and yell at me when I asked to speak to a manager because my coney bun had mold on it. MOLD!! I don't care that me complaining will get you fired. You should do your job right and getting fired wouldn't even be an issue. I was continuing to come here for cheap drinks until I found out that a large sum of their employees were fired for being caught spitting in the food. I'd been going here for 13 years or more, but I'm done. No thanks. I'm tired of being yelled at. I'm tired of worrying about spit in my food. Went twice this past week and both visits were bad. First visit the cheese sticks tasted of old unchanged grease figured maybe it was a one time occurrence during the second visit I had to call in to the store to see where our order was and the lady who finally answered had the nerve to make a grunting noise on the phone tell me she doesn't know and hand the phone to another employee who said it's on it's way out. Don't bother going to the Sonic in La Grange.Tx. They screw up the orders more often than not. The advertising of the food is comkpletely faulse. I go in once and order the Cheesesteake and t is great, steak from elnd to end. I go in tonght and there is not enough meat to even fill a 6 inch bun. Nothing like what is advertised. The food is not worth the hassle of the wait. Go elsewhere!! read more

The bun was old, the burger was cold, the tots were cold and must have been sitting for a bit. My stomach is killing me. What a mistake. I love me some Sonic, especially during happy hour! I happened to be in La Grange to meet a friend halfway between Austin and Houston, and stopped at this Sonic on the way home to get my favorite - a Dr. Pepper with real cherries. Sadly, this Sonic charges $0.20 per cherry, which I didn't know about until I saw the receipt. That $0.60 was delicious! I guess I'm spoiled from Austin Sonics that don't charge extra for cherries. read more

Horrible service. They forget your order. Only make 1/2 of it bring it to you and then ask what the other 1/2 was so that everything is cold by the time you get all of your food. They are very rude and seem to not understand what customer service is. The screen was broken so you couldn't verify the order or pay from the vehicle. read more

Service was fast and friendly, but the peanut butter fudge shake was horrible! Had chunks of waffle cone in it and about an inch of peanut butter flavor at the bottom. There was dried up chocolate fudge scraped on the lip and chunks in the shake....was on the road before i opened and saw what was going on with it...made me sick to my stomach thinking of what they had done to make this shake. And we understood that they were busy but after 20 mins we called In again asking if there was an issue or if it order got lost. They said "no no it'll be right out!"... 25 more mins pass leaving us to call back in asking for a manager since we had waited for 45 mins. I wish I could write a review without giving this place any stars. Ordered a fried steak sandwich without mayo and onion rings today. The onion rings had the taste of cake batter or frosting. The sandwich was chicken instead of steak. I drove back. They took the chicken sandwich so the kitchen could see the mistake and correct it. About 10 minutes later I received the steak sandwich but they made it with mayo. I gave up. read more

The husband and I were driving down to Houston to visit family for the holidays (we're from Austin) and we stopped at the La Grange Sonic to rest a bit, walk the dog, and get a bite to eat. You'd think, like we did, "Ok, it's a Sonic, it's like every where else. The service will be decent and the food will be pretty good." Well, apparently, since we're from "the big city" we have no idea how the folks in small towns do things. While we were walking our dog one of the customers stopped to talk to us about her (she's a pretty girl so we get that a lot), we got to talking and found out that this lady drives from Schulenberg (wherever that is) to come to this particular Sonic because the drinks and food are the best and the service is top notch. She said she won't go anywhere else. We thought it was a little odd that a total stranger was telling us how awesome the Sonic was, but... ok. But as we walked around we started realizing that the Sonic was PACKED. As soon as one car left another would come in, but even so, it seemed like everyone was getting their orders fast and the waitresses were really nice and friendly even with the bustle. Then we saw that the manager was walking out and about talking to everyone and making sure the customers were happy. We don't get that at the Sonics in Austin or Houston. It was a nice touch and it was cute to see that the manager and the waitstaff seemed to know their customers and actually cared about them. And, of course, my burger was awesome (I love Sonic's burgers which is why we went a little off the beaten path to get to this one) and the hubs liked his breakfast tacos and jalapeno poppers (yeah, he ordered that in the middle of the day.) read more
