I am also highly tempted by the whole-meal potatoes, there's a seafood and a beef version. Sides are available, but I just can't get past the loaded mashed potatoes and the seasoned fries. Both are incredible. For the more diet conscious there are some very nice salads and wraps. Soups and gumbos round out the menu. Service is always very nice and the orders are served promptly. Court House & VPSO HQ, fronting on Charity Street (Old LA HWY 14) in the business/banking/government center. This is in an extremely competitive restaurant neighborhood, with a number of excellent established eateries. In fact, we often drive the 45" to eat at several of the older places here. Entire place is very clean & neat, including restrooms. Their kitchen closes @ 2:00 PM Sundays. Arriving about 1:20, we were the only customers. Sunday menu is limited to breakfast & brunch type items. Foods are typical for region. This town is famous for good cooks, great Cajun & Southern foods. Waitress is nice, but is unsure of menu items; the maitre d' is more knowledgeable. However, once we got our cheeseburgers & fries, the meal was excellent. Very good burgers, good fries. Overall, very good food, digs, & overall value. No real disappointments. We'll definitely be back, but likely on a weekday for lunch.
