I wouldn't recommend going here. We waited 35 minutes for only a few items! We were one of the only cars there. Eventually they told us to go to the drive thru window. We saw that they were extremely understaffed. They also had signs that said stuff like if you knock on the window you will be forced to leave. Not very professional! Once we finally got our food, my pretzel stick felt like it was sitting there for a while. Overall, don't go here! It will be a waste of time. read more

Long story short: Another good ol' Sonic. Actually, I probably like this one least out of all the Sonic's I 've been to. Long story long: As I've mentioned many times, I love Sonic. I don't know what it is about it, but I just do. I haven't been to a Sonic that I didn't like, but there's something about this one that is just... I mean, it's in Grandview, so maybe that's it? HAHA, seriously... Grandview is a little ghetto. I've been to this one several times, so I've gotten several items, but my usual go to items have been the double bacon cheeseburger, tots, and a strawberry limeade. I also will more times than not get a CroisSONIC breakfast sandwich, chicken strips, or the chicken strip sandwich. I've never had a problem at this Sonic, but usually I don't ever have a problem at Sonic. I mean, this one is right across the street from IHOP's FCF Auditorium which as a IHOPU student, am at several times a week. It's actually dangerous that way, haha. Ok kids, buckle in because it's gonna be a long, cold winter while you wait in line. Sometime around spring the following year the line finally moves. Round about the heat death of the known universe the poor panicking kid in a sonic uniform sweating bullets will shove a bag and a cup in your hands and run away, screaming, into the night, like a 10 year old girl. So, the point of this is: You know how it's always the Sonic across town that's always the good one? Like no matter where you find yourself when you crave it it's always the one across town that's the good one and the one next door is garbage? Yeah this isn't the one across town. It's dirty, there's trash overflowing everywhere and the outside needs washed. The staff is overwhelmed (that's my best guess at least) and appear to have no organization going on. Every order I do eventually get is wrong, and cold because I've waited in line for 20 minutes. I once ordered a cookie dough shake and got vanilla ice cream dumped on top of a lump of cookie dough at the bottom of the cup. Find another place, or abandon all hope, ye who enter here. read more

If I could give this Sonic zero stars I would. Sonic in general has gone downhill over the years in my opinion. I just waited 25 minutes for a large drink. 25 MINUTES PEOPLE! If I didn't already pay I would have just cancelled and left. I finally got tired of waiting and pressed the button again and told them it had been that long and i still didn't have my drink. Worst Sonics well fast food restaurant I have ever been to. I have been here a few times before writing this review. I have had servers that were polite and rude. I have seen police dealing with an employee from some unknown issue. Every Time I have been here it has been a comically amount of time to wait for poorly prepared food. It usually looks like a fun house inside the building itself. They get 1 star since the ice cream blasts are usually not too bad. (When they are not out of something) I would not recommend anyone waste the time in your life to actually get food here. read more

One night I was waiting 10 minutes to order, girl comes out and says "she's too pregnant for all of this stress and is shutting the place down" and just like that they closed down. Seriously the worse sonic I have ever been to. I would fire the entire crew and start over from ground up. Terrible service and slower than any other "fast" food service I have ever experienced. I last time I went here There was 4 card in the lot and one on the drive through. We waited 4 minutes just for them to answer the speaker. I gave our order and we waited for 21 min for our food. To my knowledge only one other car pulled in during that time frame. We were never offered an apology and the carhop brought us the wrong drink,"walked" back in for change for a $10 and forgot our drink. No one was wearing skates and no one seemed to be in any type of a hurry to speed up service. Earlier today, I went with my aunt and mom after church. The was 2 cars in the stalls and 2 in the drive through. We first pulled through the drive through and say for over 10 min. Finally it is our turn and the carhop immediately asks us to hold. 5 minutes later and after trying to get her attention I pulled forward into one of the stalls and pushed the bottom. A carhop answers, again puts me on hold! 2 min later she comes back and takes our order. We each ordered a drink (all sodas) and my aunt ordered a large tatter tot. It took over 15 min later the car hop brought us our stuff and the tots were so cold. We decided to leave it alone. Then just now my aunt asked me to go and get her a bag of ice. Altogether it was 25 min for me to get one bag of ice. The carhop was extremely rude. Again needed to get change for a $20...do the carhops here not carry any change?? Everyone walked to and from and very slowly with no since of urgency. The staff I've encountered seems incredibly unhappy. This is my favorite burger place but today it wasn't at all. I came there at 3:40 but got my drinks at 3:56. The waiter was very rude and didn't say her name. She also had her phone in her back pocket. We ordered 2 small blue raspberry slushes, one small cherry Limeade slush and one large cherry limeade slush. The cherry limeades didn't have any lime so I called back and told them and they said they would bring out a new one. When she got out there she was very rude and snatched the drinks from my friend hand. Then when we checked the drink it was white (it wasn't stirred and when we asked her who stirred this she said she doesn't know and she can't fix it and walked off. I live in Grandview and go to Sonic all the time, but my trip June 5th was not pleasant! I order to Sonic double w/o mustard which I'm sure is a normal thing for most. But when I got home they were covered in mustard, no big deal. But when I went back the drive thru helper Adam was a total asshole like it was my fault my burgers had mustard on them. Like Dude ! I don't care about that deep for you to be so rude! I just wanted them remade and new fries and he basically told me no, "the fries weren't the problem" but because I had to drive back up here they are cold. This was by far the worst experience at any food service! My wife accidently went in the parking lot the wrong way and one of the employees put his hands up and looked at us like we were stupid and made rude comments towards us... my wife tried turning around and get going the correct direction and they laughed at her so we parked I'm the drive Inn and pushed the button so she could place her order and the guy on the intercom who put his hands up and stared us down started messing with my wife on the intercom mocking her and you could hear them laughing and as that's happening another group of employees were sitting down right by us and they began looking shaking their heads and laughing... we just backed out and drove off!! Never in my life have I been to a fast food restaurant and was denied service during open hrs. I drove through the the drive thru and went to order and no one responded. I waited for 5 mins then drove around again. a car in front of me was able to give their order and pull away, when I pulled up again there was no answer. So I thought I would pull into one of the open spots. when in pushed the button to order a got an insanely rude reply of "whatchu want!?" Clearly at that point I realized that for some bizarre reason they clearly did not want to serve me. I put my order in and again I got no response at all. I didn't give them one reason to be some outrageously rude to me and was completely taken back by it. I have considered this the last resort of fast food in the area due to incredibly slow, rude, and inaccurate service. Every once in awhile I have a lapse of judgement and go here anyway, and sometimes they do get my order right... Long story short, tonight, a Sunday night, I had an exceptionally awful experience and I actually saw a manager working so I asked him what's up. He said "teenagers get stupider every day." This past year it has been terrible service each time I go and its not the same type of issues. One time the young lady screamed so loud I felt like she wanted me to hurry up and order. The next time I pulled into the drive-in, about 5 employees where just sitting on the curb?? So I left. And on numerous occasions I've pulled into the stall and was told its drive thru only.
