Sonic is one of my favorite childhood places. It's that simple! ^_^ I've been going to the location in Buckner and here at Grain Valley for many, many years and have had only excellent experiences. I usually go for the same order though haha, but I've enjoyed their hotdogs, corndogs and burgers before! Simple, drive-thru meals that aren't too greasy. Due to how little I am I stick with medium-sized Any order lol.. Which is just enough for me. This mini-review was for my experience while pick'n up lunch on my way to work. I got my usual nuggies with tots with a side of their lovely honey BBQ sauce. It was the perfect temperature yesterday for it too. I've been salty for days about having to be at work while the weather is so nice! o__o 70 degrees y'all! That's incredible for February! Spring is just around the corner though, and I'm all about it! Worst drive thru service. Tater tots were cold, burgers were a mess, poorly put together and the burger was burnt. The drinks were handed to us with soda dripping down all sides. They forgot to give me my card back, so I had to turn around and go back. They handed my card back to me , but it was damaged. They had bent it almost in half, just in the short time I was gone. All the kid could say was I found your card, don't know how it got bent. It's an aluminum card, so I'm sure they were just trying to see if it would bend. WTH!!! I'm pissed. read more

Route 44 packed with ice not much room for the drink. Large tater tots cold and hard like my heart after eating this food. I also ordered ketchup for tots and the packets all stuck together! Disgusting it's not the first time it's happened but it's going to be the last! read more

I visited this Sonic on Saturday and can honestly say the rudeness of the particular worker that took the order was ridiculous. If I had not have promised a slushy to a 3 year after soccer, I would have promptly left without the order. She was rude without cause and then we overheard the older man next to us making his order and she was just as rude to him. My daughter worked at the Grain Valley Sonic years ago and the manager would not have tolerated such nonsense. Seeing all of the negative reviews here ensures that nothing is really being done from a leadership standpoint at this establishment. I won't go there again. To the rude young lady: I hope your day got better and that you aren't just a jerk ALL the time. To the young man who delivered the order: good job kid! Maybe you can teach the gal on the mic how to be customer friendly and get a well-deserved tip. read more

SAVE YOUR MONEY, DON'T WASTE IT HERE I have never received such horrible service at a Sonic. We ordered 4 shakes tonight, no food. It took around 10 minutes (or more) to bring our drinks to us. after handing the drinks over, I did mention about the long wait, which she muttered something in response and scurried away quickly. In fact, she took off so quickly, I had to yell at her to get her attention to tell her she didn't get her tip ($2.00), she replied that she didn't want a tip and proceeded to run off. I found this very odd, thinking maybe it was because of the long wait? No, it was because the shakes she gave us was just about completely melted, with melted shake all over the drink holder and sides of the cups. To the Sonic Managers, if you decide to read this, as I see not many replies to other reviews: I will be posting this review on 6 other review sites, including yelp and google. As well as contacting the corporate offices in the morning and your general manager(s). Not because of the condition of the shakes, but more in consideration of how the employee deliberately gave us these and ran off. Not.... Cool..... Service is the worst. Went last night, for the last time. Repeated my simple order 6 times, yes 6 times. Order was messed up 3 times after repeating 6 times. SERIOUSLY !!!!!I Every single time I've been to this Sonic, since their opening, order has ALWAYS had to be repeated several times and has never, NEVER, been correct. Will not go back. I come to sonic maybe once a week maybe once every two. And I get my normal cookie dough master shake. And I had a small. And wasn't to busy. But took then 12 minutes for a small shake that's all I got and it was soup. Like it's suppose to be thick. Not be able to drink out of a straw... then it didn't have any cookie dough in it. It taste like a Reese pieces then when I asked for it to be fixed and I just asked for it to be thicker cause I've never gotten it that thin. Have the same feeling as most people reviewing this one. It's pretty much the worst. There are dozens of sonics in the area and this one is the absolute worst. This is the second time I hav been very disappointed with this Sonic. First time I ordered a chicken sandwich. I got a bite in before I discovered the chicken was raw in the middle. Gross. Today, I ordered a hamburger (no cheese. )I have to tell people because I have had so many hamburgers with cheese. Well my hamburger is covered in cheese! There is a reason I do not order cheeseburgers. Oh and I paid cash for this and the carhop took my money and assumed the rest (change) was a tip. It bothers me when people assume the change, which should be returned to the customer, is theirs. Not cool. I will not be back. read more

Horrible service! I waited 25 minutes and left with no food. Incredibly slow. Others that ordered well after I did came and went with food!

Worst Sonic in the area. They habitually send out wrong orders or garbage food. We usually drive to the one in the next town but occasionally fall for the "support your cities businesses" routine and give this one another try. I've been here multiple time and never had a problem, fast and good service. I just went and ordered a large drink, and waited for well over ten minutes while other people were showing up and getting their orders. Not a big deal, I just figured they had forgotten about my order. So I pushed the button and told them that I had ordered a drink ten minutes ago. They told me they were sorry and that they would have it right out so I said thank you. A girl that works there walked out and very loudly said, "attitude." Then she gave me my drink. My total was 1.76 and I gave her 2 dollars, and she walked away with it without giving me my change. Which was totally illegal and not okay. I often enjoy a late night snack provided to me by my local sonic. This establishment has treated me very well in the past. However, on this night I found myself severely disappointed. As I humbly sit in my BMW listening to the soulful tunes of John Mayer, I decide to place the simple order of a footlong coney dog with a cherry limeade. This simplistic order is one I am sure is made quite often. While my service was swift I was very let down as I opened my bag once arriving home to see cheesy tots and two large fries (which is an extremely ridiculous order to whoever this food was intended for). I understand that my dashing good looks could have put my lovely server Ashley in such a dismay that she grabbed the wrong order but nonetheless, such behavior should not be tolerated. I will now be driving my ultimate driving machine to the sonic located near Adams dairy for my future late night food runs. read more
