Make sure to check that you've got everything. I live here in Goodland, time and time again I've either gotten the wrong thing, or am missing something. Also, takes forever to get someone to help you if your using the drive-thru. No one greets you, I've sat there for 5-10 minutes a few times saying "hello?" To a speaker box. My friend and I just went to sonic in Goodland Kansas and we found a little white clear pebble in our milkshake and we go back into the store to ask for a refund they give us the refund but then they also continue to explain to us why they think we're lying and that we put the pebble in there ourselves... Terrible terrible service! If you have to deal with aman named Dale working there I wish you luck! They also took the little pebble so we could not take pictures of it to prove or to find out what it was. If I could give less than one star I definitely would! read more

I've ate at plenty of Sonics but this one was definitely the worst experience I've had. I ordered a double bacon cheeseburger with tots for NINE BUCKS, and this is what I got. Firstly, they messed up and gave me fries instead of tots, but I'm not usually one to whine over fries and I really did not want to wait ANOTHER 30 minutes for them to fix it, so I just went home. But then, I opened up my "double bacon burger". There was no Mayo, no tomato, no lettuce, and no bacon. Just cheese and patties. So I decided to go back. It was 9:30 when I pulled up, keeping in mind that they don't close until 10. When I got there, the guy said that they were only open for ice cream at that time? So I just proceeded to tell him my problem and he was just super rude about it and kept cutting me off not even letting me speak. For nine bucks, I just wanted the burger I ordered. read more

They don't use gloves. Also, I saw a manager named Dale call the cops on a man because he was black while another employee yelled at the man "If you don't like [the food], go back to jail." The man was passing through town and didn't know any of the employees and he was being very polite and respectful. He had asked for a new chili dog because he said the first one was cold. I love sonic almost as much as I love men. The sonic drive in is truly an exciting experience everything. This time things changed . I went straight to the first station I could find and it wasn't normal, it had changed this time. I went there and Ted was there to. The entire menu was some variation of the cheesy tater tots. The burgers section included things like "Totti borgor" "double Totti borogor" and super cheesy ultra Totti borgir" this continues with everything including hotdogs, tater tots and drinks. The only unchanged section was the slushees. However the only slushy flavors were "endless despair" and "the rapid approach we all feel and call death" and in Saïd slushees you could only add in tater tot's of course. I picked what I wanted and was about to feel the sweet sweet bliss that is clicking in the silly little red button. This is where things changed. I went to press the button and was blocked by a hand that had protruded from the screen I kept trying to press until a man emerged and yelled at me before he dragged me straight in. I woke up in a pale yellow room with walls everywhere, water stains on the ceilings and fluorescent lights. It seemed almost like a maze. I walked for a while until I saw an entity that caused me to start running. I found a door that said DO NOT OPEN SUPER NOT COOL AND LAME THINGS INSIDE. I almost didn't open it but I was struck with curiosity, I opened the door and was back in my car at the sonic, yet, so was he. James sat there, sucking on a pacifier in my passenger seat. He took the pacifier out of his mouth with a pop. "Hello Quandibilous" he said "James" I replied "I thought I had sent you back to the mirror realm. "Oh foolish quandaibilous" he replied while reaching behind his back. Out of nowhere he pulled a water gun, however I was prepared and pulled my own super soaker out from behind my seat. Little did James know I filled mine with acid. After a very intense and very one sided water battle I wiped the acid off my seats and pressed the button one more time, from the machine I heard, "oh Quandibilous" it's much deeper than just one James, we are a hive mind. I love sonic, just not this sonic. It was great during the grand opening however the quality has gone down hill in a shocking way. Cold fries, cold burgers, rubbery hotdog buns and slow service. The hotdog buns had the texture and flavor of buns that had been microwaved for a long time. The owner insists there isn't even a microwave in the store. The last time we got food it literally looked like someone had sat on our burgers. There was one that when opened the meat wasn't even on the bun but was smeared out to the side like someone had dragged it along something abrasive. I contacted the owner who seemed incredulous that I would question the quality of his food. We still get drinks there, but nothing else. read more

I come every morning to get $1 ice coffee before 10am, today they told me their ice coffee is never $1 and the manager was very rude. I kindly explained to him I had been there everyday this week to get my $1 iced coffee and he shut the window on me. I gave him my money and as he was giving me my receipt I asked him for a dog treat and once again the window was slammed shut in my face. I don't know why he thought it was okay to treat a daily customer this way, I understand that we all have bad mornings but the attitude from a manager was uncalled for. If I ever have another experience like this I will definitely be getting a hold of corporate. Safe to say they lost a daily customer today. Have you ever thought to yourself, you know what would be fun on your drive home from vacation? Let's stop at a fast food establishment and wait 40 minutes for our food. To add to the excitement, maybe 4 or 5 customers coming in getting into verbal altercations with the teenage carhops because they received cold, disgusting food after their 40 minute wait and the manager refuses to come out and speak with them. And just maybe if you're super lucky, you can ask for a manager to cancel your order, you can hear him yell from the back, "What! Should the other customers suffer just because they want to cancel their order?!?" Don't worry though, you will also finally be too exhausted to continue waiting for that refund and will hope for the best as you drive down the street and get McDonalds in less than 5 minutes. Ordered the #4 with no onions and vanilla creamer in my coffee. Came with onions and half & half creamer. -1 star each. The lobby was closed but they served me outside at the drive thru even though I walked up. Drive opens early at 6. Would recommend this over any other place on the main strip in Goodland. read more

I'm here about once a week and it's pretty hit or miss. Usually we get a slush for the kid, but sometimes we get food. Stick to breakfasts in the morning, it's a little more consistent. Any time after about 11am and lots of burgers get made wrong, things are left out of big orders, stuff like that. Stick to drinks and you should have a good experience consistently. Make sure to check your order carefully before pulling away, they might be having a good day, they might be having a bad day. read more

I dont want the Goodland Kansas store going unnoticed. My husband and i were passing through goodland with our camper and needing to stop for lunch we tried McDonald'.. door was locked drive thru only which is not possible with a camper. Went to Arby's and there was a ton of people inside but the door was locked and they stated we had to go through the drive thru the lobby was closed. I told them that wasn't an option with our camper. Finally walked over to sonic and the lobby was open. Came walking in and it took a long time to order but i could tell they were short staffed and trying as hard as they could. Despite the understaffed stressful atmosphere they were very nice and moving as fast as possible. I didn't mind waiting for my food even considering the fact we had a 6 hour drive ahead of us. Will definitely be coming back even if we have to drive out of the way to give them business. read more
