We were driving across KS & Colby was the "largest" town on our route so we stopped for a bite to eat. Review pictures don't really represent this establishment. Disappointing the moment we stepped in. The "ambiance" is complex as it is a diner (with the most limited of menus), a sports bar, a pool hall, and arcade. Some TLC would go a long way here. Foodwise, the burgers were fine, nothing out of the ordinary and remembered more for the fact they were "meh" than anything else. Service was super slow, but that's what you get when you have one guy at the grill & one person taking orders. All we ordered were 2 cheeseburgers, water & iced tea...and it took close to 90 minutes! Good thing we had some time to spare. All that to say, Colby has few options so this might be your best bet if you're looking for a dine-in eatery. read more

Nothing says family vibes like this bar and grill! Had to stop in for one of their great smash burgers and french fries, and it certainly didn't disappoint. The restaurant is cozy and has so much table seating, great for large families and gatherings. Wait staff is very helpful as well as a team atmosphere. There were tons of beers to choose from as well as arcade games, pool, and even shuffle board in the back. Restrooms very clean Temperature not too cold, and not to hot for how much activity goes on Definitely a recommendation for all who live in Colby, as well as those driving through. read more

Hidden little bar/dive near "downtown" Colby. I guess I never researched well, but have stayed in Colby dozens of times on business and never found my way here before. Was pretty much all locals, but was a spot at the bar, so I took it. Guy behind the bar was serving drinks and running the grill, but did a fine job. The burger was great. One of best I can remember. Same goes for the onion rings, crispy and well seasoned. Beer was cold, great food and service to keep up. Will be back. read more

Great place! Stayed in Colby on my way to the east coast and I'm glad I stopped here. Happy Hour is where it's at. $1.25 mug drafts & $2 well drinks. Had a delicious double cheeseburger with fries for around $7. Props to the three ladies who work the grill behind the bar, bartend & serve all the tables in a timely fashion. They even have three pool tables in the back. read more

If you're on I-70 with a young family, find something else, especially as it's several miles off the highway in town. The staff was super friendly!! but IT'S A BAR... and you're going to get bar food, and use bar bathrooms and etc etc.. You get the point. If you're not that demographic, then go for it! read more

So, you're driving I70 and you see all the stuff at the Colby, KS exit and wish, "Isn't there something different?" Yes there is - How about that burger dream that you had, come true! The grill, deep fryer and fridge are right behind the bar. The bartender's cooking while pouring drinks. Locals abound. You'll stand-out, trust me. It's kid friendly but this is a "bar", an old bar with character; it doesn't strike me as a family restaurant. The burgers are fresh ground beef, buns grilled, piled high with what you want on top. They're thick, juicy and delicious. Keep the napkins nearby. The fries were good, onion rings; so-so, and deep fried pickles and stuffed mushrooms weren't great. I wish they were... so badly, I wish it was perfect because the burgers and the local atmosphere rate highly. Drive two or-so miles north of I70 right into town. This is one of those places that could create a bumper sticker and have a cult following. I absolutely loved it. Oh, and employed for many years (on and off) was Stacie at the helm. She was busy on a Thursday night and happy, helpful, attentive and timely. My frequent trips across Kansas (my God, that's a long haul) will now include a planned stop at the B Hive. read more

The food here is really super delicious! Especially the fried pickles! I will be back for the food alone..the place was dirtier than I like seeing when I'm eating and the customer service was sub par to say the least. I waited over 20 min to even be greeted and put in a drink order then my waitress didn't even tell me I had to pay at the bar so I sat there waiting for a good 20/25 min before I got up and had to ask where I'm supposed to pay. And after serving the food she didn't come back to my table. Next time I'll order carry out... I also saw patrons reaching over the bar to fill their own sodas which bothers me due to health safety concerns, I know it's a close knit community but you still need to follow health regulations read more

I found the bar staff to be abrasive. The food was well below sub par. Nothing was made fresh as I watched as the only bar staff grab food from the freezer bare hand after rubbing her nose, itching her eye, and picking up other people's discarded trays. I was pretty appalled and felt gross just sitting in the establishment thereafter. I am concerned with the sanitation of this establishment. I was a little worried about this place as it kind of looks sketchy inside. But after a few times at this place I love it. I go once a week and it is awesome. Bartenders are nice and quick. The food is awesome amazing and cheap. I would recommend the chicken fried steak and a pitcher of coors light. It will fill you up and you will not regret it. The only part I dislike is that 10pm they close the kitchen thus if you close the bar down you might get really hungry. read more

They have arcade games inside (the pinball game especially is super fun, it's ski themed and has lots of bells and whistles) and the food is cooked right behind the bar. This is a dive bar, and the best burger in Colby Kansas. It's super greasy with lots of flavor. You walk into a bar with tv's, some arcade games, a shuttleboard table, and a foosball table. They have good food at reasonable prices. read more

Friendly little neighborhood bar. It gets pretty busy at dinner time, because the food is pretty damn good. I did the cheeseburger and fries, and an order of chicken gizzards. It was too much to eat, but I ate it all. It was all good. Pleasant conversation with the other patrons. All in all, a very nice inexpensive dinner time experience. read more
